A Letter from Nick & Amy
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us and the life we hope to share with you and your child through adoption. We are excited to share our love of music, faith, family traditions, and traveling adventures with your child. They will be loved unconditionally, be given every opportunity to succeed with an excellent education, and will be raised in a stable home, grounded in faith.
We were introduced by family and mutual friends. What started out as texting and phone calls turned into a coffee date set for Valentine’s Day. At the last minute, Nick changed the plans to a romantic Nicholas Sparks movie. We spent almost every day together, thereafter, and Nick proposed at a Rascal Flatts concert with a banner saying, “Will You Marry Me?”
We’ve been married six years and had it in our hearts to adopt for many years prior to marriage. After struggling with infertility, we realized adoption was the path for our family. We are excited to see what God has in store for us as we start our family together as first-time parents!
Together we enjoy going to movies, taking Sunday drives through the countryside, singing karaoke, and going for walks with our dogs. We look forward to sharing our love of music, vacations and holiday get-togethers with our child.
Nick is a wonderful, loving, and devoted husband. He is kind-hearted, supportive, funny, and gives the best hugs. He has a passion for helping others whenever he can, whether it’s praying for someone, taking them a meal, or visiting them in the hospital during times of need. Nick is a successful entrepreneur that works very hard at running our business and supporting our family. Family is extremely important to him and I know he will be an amazing father. I love to see how kids are drawn to his fun-loving personality everywhere we go. I am excited to see him interact with our future children. Nick likes playing Chess and other games. The thing he is most looking forward to is coaching little league for our child. His father coached it with him and he is excited to do the same with our child.
Amy’s love and compassion are what drew me to her. As the love of my life she makes every day better. She enjoys reading, fishing, and she’s an amazing singer. Amy will be a wonderful mom. As a librarian, she is in her happy place when working with children. I’ve had the opportunity of seeing her work with her students and she is amazing. The smile it puts on her face and theirs warms the heart. Amy makes our home warm and inviting, and she has already designed and prepared the nursery. She is excited to snuggle up to read bedtime stories and share her love of baking with our child.
Our three-bedroom home is filled with love and laughter. We enjoy entertaining guests including friends and family. We have the nursery ready and will add some pops of color once we know the gender. We have two dogs, Maggie (a Pointer) and Sadie Mae (a Beagle). They are great with kids and they love to play and snuggle. Our neighborhood has many fun activities that we look forward to enjoying with our children including a pool, splash pads, playgrounds, and bike paths.
We have a big family that’s loving, caring, fun, and always nearby. Both sides of our family are no strangers to adoption, and we enjoy seeing it bring families together. We are big on family traditions and get together often for birthdays, holidays, and game nights. Our favorite traditions are our annual visit to the state fair with Nick’s parents and to a haunted house with Amy’s brother and sister-in-law. We are blessed to have a great network of support. They look forward to spending quality time together at future recitals, musicals, or sporting events with our future little one.
We promise to provide your child with a safe and stable home that introduces them to our Christian faith. We will love your child unconditionally and support their dreams and educational goals. We want you to know that your child will know their story, your love for them, and how God brought us together as a family through adoption. We are open to sharing letters, photos, and visits with you, if desired.

More About Our Family
Our Special Interests
We enjoy riding four wheelers, watching movies, and going bowling. We also enjoy playing games and hanging out around a camp fire with our friends. We love going fishing, tent/RV camping, and traveling. Our favorite trip so far was to Hawaii, and we can't wait to go back again! We've also enjoyed trips to Pagosa Springs, CO, Memphis, TN, San Antonio, TX, Monroe, LA (to meet the Duck Dynasty cast), Hot Springs, AR, and Branson, MO. It's our plan in the near future to travel to many more places across the U.S. in an RV.
We both grew up in strong Christian homes, and we attend a local Southern Baptist church on a regular basis. We pray often and participate in bible study together. Our church provides a strong support system in times of celebration and in times of need. We look forward to a day we can introduce our child to them.
Our Musical Interest
We enjoy singing karaoke. We both participate in our worship choir at church, and help to lead worship as part of our praise team on Sunday mornings. We both love Christian and Country music, and we are always singing something around the house. Amy enjoys playing piano and Nick plays the guitar. We love going to musicals and concerts every chance we get, especially Rascal Flatts.
About Our Neighborhood
We live on a safe street where we enjoy playing catch, going on bike rides, and taking our dogs for walks. Our neighborhood association schedules monthly activities at our amenity center for the many kids in our neighborhood, such as movie nights, Bingo nights, story times, Easter egg hunts, trick-or-treating, and costume parades, that we can't wait to participate in with our future little one.
We run a business from our home. We started our business three years ago by selling two cell phones and growing from there. It is flourishing and we now create our own products that we sell on Amazon. Our business is very successful, which has allowed Nick to work full-time from home. As it continues to grow, our plan is for Amy to work full-time from home as well, so we can spend more time together as a family and travel.
