Available Position – Adoption Coordinator – Must Live in Arkansas

We have an open position for an Adoption Coordinator, responsible for providing service and support to potential Birth Families and contracted Adoptive families, completing Adoptive Home Studies, coordinating Adoptive Family and Birth Family matches through placement, and completing post-placement reports and services. Job Duties:
- Assist in ensuring continuity of service to both birth mothers and families.
- Serve as a prospective birth mother’s first point of contact and continue as the contracted adoptive families’ primary contact person after matching and through the adoption process.
- Facilitate and process initial intakes, review applications, and conduct phone conferences.
- Ensure all adoption qualification documentation is current and available.
- Ensure all training and educational resources are completed and available.
- Maintain files and database (document all conversations & contacts) following Lifetime’s procedures and state guidelines.
- Maintain regular contact, oversee & manage the adoption process (ensuring successful selection), facilitate needs during the match period such as providing referrals for counseling, obtaining medical records and other necessary documentation, and ensuring disclosure is understood and that all parties are informed.
- Complete adoptive family home studies and post placement supervision reports following Lifetime’s procedures and state guidelines.
- Meet in person with potential clients, hospital social workers, medical professionals, and attorneys as needed.
- Stay abreast of trends, technologies, and methods in adoption process management through training and review of literature.
- Complete 24 hours of adoption education per year per Lifetime’s procedures and state guidelines.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, or related human service field.
- A minimum of 2 years related experience.
- Licensed to complete Adoptive Home Studies
- Ability to assist with after-hours on-call phone rotation. (High-speed internet a must.)
- Quiet, private office to conduct business from as this is a remote position.
- Able to respond to change productively and effectively perform other essential tasks as assigned.
- Optional: Bi-lingual in Spanish
