Lifetime Adoption’s Commitment to Birth Moms
Lifetime Adoption assists in the progress of ongoing open adoption relationships and connecting birth mothers with loving, adoptive families. Working with hundreds of birth parents we average around 15 adoptions per month. People are often curious to know how our success rate is so high. We are dedicated to upholding our commitment to birth mothers throughout every step of the adoption journey. With unwavering compassion and respect, we provide comprehensive support and guidance to birth mothers, ensuring they feel empowered, heard, and valued in their decision-making process.
Offering personalized counseling to assistance with medical expenses and ongoing emotional support, Lifetime Adoption prioritizes the well-being and autonomy of birth mothers, recognizing the significance of their role in the adoption process.
We strive to create a nurturing environment through transparent communication and tailored resources so birth mothers can make informed choices and embark on a journey of strength, dignity, and hope.
Our success is a result of extensive nationwide outreach. We are committed to providing ongoing education and support for birth mothers and adoptive families. Everyone we work with becomes part of our larger Lifetime family. We love sharing our adoption stories, and we find that our adoptive families are eager to help others on their adoption journey as well.
Why Potential Birth Mothers Are Drawn to Lifetime
We pride ourselves on providing a no-pressure atmosphere for potential birth mothers. Adoption is not always the right choice for an unplanned pregnancy, and that’s OK. Lifetime will provide information, support, and resources to any woman considering adoption, whether or not she decides to pursue that path. Many birth mothers have shared that they chose Lifetime Adoption because of this welcoming, non-judgmental introduction.
When a birth mother chooses Lifetime, she is cared for by a team of trained, certified professionals. Our adoption coordinators work one-on-one with birth mothers throughout the adoption process. This relationship continues well after the baby is placed with the adoptive family. We understand that open adoption is a lifelong journey, and we are always here for our birth mothers.
Education
Lifetime’s comprehensive education and support for birth mothers is a major factor in our low reclaim rate. When an expectant mother fully understands what her open adoption plan will entail and the resources available to help her through it, she feels more confident in her choice and is less likely to change her mind. When the birth mother’s needs come first, our adoptive families also benefit.
We conduct webinars and present about open adoption at healthcare conferences. Through this work, we provide current, relevant information to potential birth mothers, adoptive families, and the professionals who work with us and them. The modern face of open adoption can give patients a full picture of their choices and empower them to make informed decisions.
Help Spread the Word
Every Lifetime adoption is an important story about love and family. Our stories are also part of the greater narrative about modern open adoption. There are still many people who have misconceptions about adoption. They picture the closed adoptions of the past that were harmful to birth parents and children. Adoptive families can help educate others on the many benefits of open adoption by sharing their stories.
Lifetime encourages adoptive families to help spread the word by heading over to Facebook and posting about Lifetime Adoption in their regional Facebook groups. Other online options to assist with Lifetime’s outreach include sharing posts from our Birth Parents blog and Facebook page, Lifetime Adoption.
If you work with pregnant women, call Lifetime to request that our brochures be sent to you. Together, we can empower future birth mothers and adoptive families to make the best decisions for their future.
