Diana Vandra: Your Adoption Education Champion at Lifetime

About Diana

Diana Vandra serves as Adoption Outreach and Education Coordinator at Lifetime Adoption, where she provides adoption training for medical professionals, social workers, and pregnancy center staff across the country. Since joining Lifetime in 2009, Diana has been committed to equipping others with the tools they need to talk about modern adoption accurately and compassionately.

As an adoptive mom herself, Diana brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her trainings. She understands the questions and concerns women face when considering adoption, and she is passionate about helping professionals feel confident in the way they share adoption as a pregnancy option.

Adoption Training for Hospitals and Professionals

Diana provides one-on-one and group training sessions that are tailored to the needs of hospitals, doctors, nurses, and social workers. Her sessions are designed to:

  • Clarify what modern open adoption looks like today
  • Correct common misconceptions about adoption that persist in medical settings
  • Provide tools and language for speaking compassionately with women in crisis pregnancies or choosing adoption late in pregnancy (or after delivery)
  • Equip staff to connect patients and clients with trusted adoption resources
  • Share the differences between Safe Haven and modern adoption

Whether it is training a hospital case management team, presenting at a pregnancy center, or leading a professional webinar, Diana ensures that those on the front lines of patient care are prepared to offer adoption as a respectful and empowering option. And have the actual words to use to ensure every patient can make an informed decision about their pregnancy.

In her work with hospitals and pregnancy centers, Diana often reminds staff that every child is adoptable. Too often, women who have faced substance use believe no one would want to adopt their baby. Diana equips professionals with the words and resources to reassure mothers that there are families ready to welcome their child. Similarly, Diana ensures that medical staff understand that infants diagnosed with special needs are also adoptable.

Experience and Approach

Diana has been training professionals nationwide for more than a decade, delivering hundreds of sessions to healthcare staff, pregnancy clinic advocates, and community organizations. She blends clear, evidence-based information with real-life stories from her work and her own adoption journey. Participants leave her trainings encouraged, better informed, and equipped to serve women and families with compassion.

Her approach is practical and relational, creating a safe space for professionals to ask questions, learn, and walk away with actionable tools.

Equipping Professionals with Confidence

Many women make decisions about their pregnancies without ever hearing what adoption looks like today. Too often, hospital staff or counselors feel unsure of what to say, or worry they might say the wrong thing. Diana’s work as an adoption trainer helps close that gap. By equipping professionals to present adoption accurately, she ensures that women are truly informed and supported as they make one of the most important choices of their lives.
