Post Adoption Contact

At Lifetime, it is important to us to ensure that you can clearly outline what your post-adoption contact desires are. Choosing an ‘open adoption’ means that you (and the adoptive parents) agree to stay in touch, but there needs to be a conversation and agreement about the type of contact expected. It is important as a birth parent, that you can clearly state what your desires are after the adoption.

Open adoption communication will likely change over time, just like any of our relationships do. And during times of life that are busier, communication may need to shift. This is normal. We want you to share the minimum level of contact you wish to have, so that even in busier seasons of life, everyone is on the same page.
