Hello! We are Aaron and Brooke, and we live in Northern California, a quick couple of hours away from Lake Tahoe, Napa Valley and San Francisco! Weekend getaways are uniquely easy for us. If the sun is beating down or there is snow in the mountains, we have plenty of options to enjoy. There is always something going on in our world; we soak it all in, and we are grateful for every single day.

We are grateful for the opportunity to be considered as adoptive parents for your child; it is a true honor! We look forward to learning more about you and your hopes and dreams for your child. More than anything we desire to be a blessing in both of your lives.

About Us

Our modern love story started more than 8 and a half years ago. We quickly realized how much we enjoy spending time together. We love being outside, hiking nearby trails or relaxing by the pool on a hot day. We enjoy going to drive-in movies and sporting events. We also love painting together and hanging out at the golf course. We always have fun, even if it’s just a lazy Saturday curled up on the couch next to a fire.

Our faith is important to us, and we attend church every Sunday. We value our relationship and find time to do things that will deepen it as time moves on. We have 4 kids, with the youngest being 13; the others are in their early 20’s. We are experienced parents, and we believe it is important to show them what a healthy marriage looks like. As adoptive parents we will do the same for our next child.

About Brooke

Aaron says: Brooke loves being a mom. She truly is the heart of our family and brings comfort to any situation. She’s always willing to listen when a friend is in need and she gives sound advice when asked. Although our kids are older, she still goes out of her way to make them feel special.

Brooke is really crafty and has designed every aspect of our home, completing as many projects as possible with her own hands. Over the last couple years, she has become quite the chef and really likes cooking! She loves taking long walks by the river with friends, she spends time in the gym and keeps a healthy lifestyle. She is in a book club at church and enjoys monthly gatherings with the women in the group. She is a hard worker and extremely dedicated; she completes anything she puts her mind to. She loves all people and is an advocate for strengthening and building up other women, a quality she teaches and instills in our daughters every day.

About Aaron

Brooke says: Aaron is an amazing husband and father. He’s constantly checking in on us; if we need anything he is the first to help. He always opens the car door for me and our girls and refuses to let me leave the house in the morning without a hug and kiss goodbye. He has a huge heart and a lot of love to give. He is supportive and kind; we are lucky to have him.

Aaron spends as much time in the garage as he can; he loves to work on cars and build things. Football season is his favorite and waking up early to hit the driving range is a huge hobby. He enjoys spending time with other men from church. He looks forward to running around with our next child, riding bikes at the park or jumping in the pool. After 20 years in the Air Force, Aaron is a retired veteran with a 2nd career in automotive, an industry he loves. He works hard to provide for our family. He gives us a sense of comfort, knowing that we will always be taken care of.

Our Family

We have 4 children. Javin is the oldest at 23. He recently married his long-time girlfriend, Aurora, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome her into our family. Emery is 20 and she’s going into her 3rd year of college at UCLA. Tyler is also 20 and is working full-time and still figuring out a career path. Our youngest is 13 and her name is Rylaen. She is starting high school in the fall; she’s an amazing kid and can’t wait to become a big sister. She has been in gymnastics for 9 years; it’s a lot of fun to watch her grow in the sport.

Our extended family is huge. Most of Brooke’s family live a few minutes away. We are fortunate to have so much support close by. Brooke’s grandparents are a few hours away, but we are grateful to see them frequently throughout the year. Aaron’s family lives in the Midwest; we don’t see them as much, but we talk often.

Our Home in Sunny California

We love home. We have lived in this area for several years. We have worked hard to make this space our own. It’s beautiful and bright with really tall ceilings and lots of windows. Walking through the front door always makes us happy! We have 5 bedrooms with a cozy family room and room to play. We have a yard perfect for entertaining, complete with a pool, trampoline, and plenty of grass to run around in. We have 2 small dogs; they are playful and sweet. They follow us everywhere.

Our home is a slice of heaven, but we are also across the street from the river and walking distance to several parks with play structures and tennis courts. We are close to the zoo and downtown where there is always something fun going on.

Our Promise

We know this decision might be one of the biggest you will ever have to make, and we are grateful to be considered. We want you to know that the love we have for your child will be unconditional and endless. We’ve been through all of the stages of a child’s life, each one unique and special in its own way. We promise to celebrate all of them, to never take a single moment for granted. We will include you as we enjoy all the moments ahead, both big and small. We can’t wait to meet with you, to hug you, to make you feel like a part of our family, because you will be. We will forever be united by the most precious gift anyone could ever experience.

We will support your child as they navigate this life. We will guide them toward hope, gratitude, love and generosity as they work through any challenge that comes along their path. They will have the opportunity to go to college as we are committed to giving them every possible chance to succeed in adulthood. We want them to thrive, knowing they are smart, beautiful and remarkably special.

We look forward to coming together with you, we want to create the type of ongoing contact you are looking for as your child grows up. You will never be a mystery in your baby’s life because the open, honest relationship we look forward to will be designed to make them feel like a part of a wonderful story, filled with so much goodness from all of the people who love him/her.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Our Family Traditions

-Brooke's favorite family traditions happen during the holiday season. A few days before Thanksgiving, her grandparents come into town. They, along with Brooke's mom, sister and everyone else, get together for a pie making day. They start early and end late. Grampy's humor is always the entertainment! Brooke's mom's house is full and warm; we snack and laugh and make delicious pies together.
-Christmas Eve--we all get a pair of pajamas to wear that night (Brooke's mom buys them for everyone). The kids are usually matching and so are the adults. Christmas Day we all stay in our pjs for the day--it makes for a very cozy Christmas :)
-Aaron's favorite Thanksgiving tradition is frying the turkey. We have a lot of people, so we need more than just one turkey. We have the regular oven to bake one and Aaron's is fried.
-We both love summer trips up to Oregon. Brooke's grandparents live in a small town there and we like to take the kids up to visit. We have a lot of family there. Grandma has a list of things she needs us to do around the house and we all pitch in to get them done. We play cards or dice games every night while we are there.

Our Faith

We are Christians. We believe there is one way to Heaven and that its through Jesus. We have a relationship with God and we try to make all of our decisions with His purpose in mind. That said, we are far from perfect, but we have a base though. We know that if we have a firm foundation of trust in God that no matter what we face in this life, we will overcome. This is the promise we are given through scripture, and this is the example we strive to uphold in our lives so that our kids see what faith provides. Not everything will go the way we plan, but with Jesus in our corner, we believe He will provide.

Our Musical Interest

We are all over the place... Aaron is a country music guy with a little 90's rock thrown in there when he's working out. Brooke only listens to one radio station in the car and it's a Christian station called K-love. But if she is streaming, she literally can't give you a preference. She and our girls are definitely Swifties! AND I LOVE anything that my girls are singing at the top of their lungs in the car with the windows down, when we are on our way home.

5 Things We Love on a Weekend

1-A SLOW Saturday morning, usually with pancakes involved
2-We live close to the river, so a nice walk is always good for the soul
3-Church on Sunday morning, and in the fall and winter football the rest of the day!
4-Hanging out by the pool and grilling hamburgers
5-Movie marathons on rainy weekends

In Closing

Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know our family. The dream of having a baby in this specific way has tugged at Brooke since she was a little girl. We are overwhelmingly certain that God placed this desire in her, and fulfilling it is part of a bigger picture. We have so much room in our hearts and love to give to another child. This is a part of the story He wrote for our lives, and we are excited to be living it now.
We want you to know that when we meet you, we promise to see you too. You are wonderfully made and just as precious and loved as your child. We believe open adoption is an amazing way to grow our family, not just with a child but with you too. We hope to be a light in your life, if you choose, to remind you how special you are. We will stay present in your life and update you as your child grows, if you want that. Our relationship with you matters and we would be honored to be a part of your future.
