Hi! We’re Adam and Amber from Pennsylvania. We’ve known each other the majority of our lives, meeting through mutual friends while in high school. Amber was instantly captivated by Adam’s friendliness. Five years later we were married in a small church in our hometown.
Throughout our 18 years of marriage, we have prioritized spending time with each other filling our days with long walks around the neighborhood, trying new recipes for dinner, exploring new areas nearby, and watching movies from the comfort of our couch. We are excited to start our family through adoption and are grateful for the opportunity to get to know you.
About Us
We enjoy discovering all the unique areas rural Pennsylvania has to offer, from hiking trails in the mountains to the small businesses selling distinctive items. We love seeing new places and trying new things, such as whitewater rafting, exploring caves, touring our state capital, sightseeing at historical sites, and visiting museums and art galleries.
When we’re not out discovering new things, walking our 6-year-old Mountain Cur and 7-year-old German Shepherd is one of our favorite things to do. This gives us time to connect with each other about the things that are on our hearts while also getting in some gentle exercise–and it also makes the canines happy.
Adoption has been on our hearts for some time, and we are excited to welcome a child into our lives!
About Amber
I am a hairstylist who owns a salon with a friend. It took a leap of faith to open our own business, and I’m so glad we did it! I love the feeling I get when I see a client’s face light up with confidence as they see their new look; that truly makes my day. My job offers flexibility, which allows me time to create delicious home cooked meals multiple times a week.
In my free time I enjoy reading- switching between fantasy and non-fiction- and creating new items with my sewing machine. Last year I gifted everyone potholders for Christmas. Going to the theater is my ideal night out, and thrift store shopping always makes for a good time. I love a good deal! I have also loved cats since I was little and can’t walk past one without having an urge to pet it. I have three cats–two are 11-year-old brothers and Puff is my 18-year-old Persian (he’s so special to me). The people in my life know of my love for cats, and often the gifts I receive for my birthday or Christmas will have cats on them.
I am looking forward to sharing our life with a child, helping them learn about the world around them, teaching them new things as they grow, and loving them for who they are. I’m excited to be right there with them while they are growing up.
About Adam
Every day at work is a new adventure. I am a pipeline electrical technician. Some of my responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing the instrumentation and electrical systems, which ensures the safe and efficient operation of the pipeline process. I enjoy working with my hands and the challenges that come with fixing things. I spend a lot of my working days outdoors, which I love.
I’m a huge football fan! I love watching games, coaching, playing, and keeping up with my fantasy football teams. For me, it’s the ultimate team sport because everyone has a specific role to play, and success depends on everyone doing their part. I also try to play golf almost every weekend, enjoying the outdoors in the summer and heading indoors during the winter. Even though I’m not very skilled at it, I still have fun. When I’m not on the golf course, I enjoy watching a good movie or working on projects around the house. This could be anything from landscaping to wiring in new lights, or even just changing the oil in the cars.
I’m so excited to play with our future child, whether it’s teaching them a new game or sport or simply hanging out at the local park. I’m looking forward to being by their side and helping them grow in whatever they may be passionate about.
Our Family
Our families are a huge part of our lives, and we cherish the time we spend with them. Amber’s parents are snowbirds, spending winters in Florida and summers in Pennsylvania. We look forward to our yearly trips to Florida where we enjoy the beach and exploring new natural wonders. When they’re in PA, they spend weekends camping near a state park. Their camp is a hub for summer cookouts, filled with laughter and friendly card and dice games.
Adam’s mom and grandma are nearby, just 15 minutes away. Holidays with them are legendary, featuring mountains of delicious food – they have a knack for perfect timing! The meals always end with a competitive game of dominoes. Adam’s grandma also adopted his niece, so family gatherings are extra special.
We love bringing both sides of our family together at our place during the summer for cookouts and game nights. These moments of connection and shared joy are so important to us, and we can’t wait to share them with our child.
Our Home in Pennsylvania
We live in a three-bedroom ranch style brick home on a dead-end road. We don’t get any traffic because we’re the last house on the road. Our one acre of property is very scenic and private in the summer, as the backyard is surrounded by woods. Our house was built on top of a hill which enables us a fantastic view of the town and gorgeous sunsets, no matter the season. Our neighborhood consists of senior citizen condominiums on one side of us and a rural community with many school-aged children on the other.
We have multiple playgrounds within walking distance of our home, and our community parks and recreation department offers a variety of sports and summer programs. Our home is also conveniently located near over a dozen state parks and there’s an amusement and water park just six miles away.
Our Promise
We promise to love your child with all our hearts. We will cherish them, provide them a stable and supportive home, and help them grow into the person God created them to be.
We can’t wait to share our child’s first experiences with them. We imagine their first time feeling the grass, seeing the leaves change, and playing in the park. We’re excited to show them the beauty in nature. We also look forward to reading their first books together and watching their face light up as they discover new sounds and textures. These simple, everyday moments are what we treasure and are eager to share with our child.
We want you to feel connected to your child’s life and will honor whatever level of openness you desire, whether that’s sharing pictures, letters, and/or occasional visits with you.
We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Our Faith
Our faith is a big part of our lives. We love our church family and are active within our church. We volunteer at the coffee bar, Amber is part of a team that prepares meals for events at the church, and Adam is in charge of the security system. We couldn't do life without our faith, as it got us through years of infertility. We were always told there was no reason we could not have children, and after multiple losses we felt God saying "No" to more fertility treatments and "Yes" to adoption. After much prayer, we had peace about adoption and were thrilled to be starting this process. A few months later Amber had to have a hysterectomy, and we are now certain that all along this journey God wanted us to start our family through adoption.
Our Street
We have the best neighbors! Any evening we see a bonfire we know we don't need an invite, we just show up and are always welcomed. We all watch the 4th of July fireworks on our street together, we've done Halloween costumes as a group, and we always get together for a New Year's Eve party. Sometimes the kids ride their tractors up to our house to see what we're up to, and other times the kids (and adults) ride the power wheels (without the power) down the road to see who can go the furthest. We have spent multiple weekends helping each other with large projects. We are blessed to have such great neighbors.
