Hello from the beautiful state of Ohio, where we greet one another with an “O-H” and the response is “I-O”!

We met while we were both traveling for work. It was love at first sight for Adam, or as Ava likes to say, it was her southern charm that was irresistible. (; We got married in December of 2017 and moved to southern Ohio. A fun fact we love sharing about our wedding day is it snowed 2 days before and we planned an outdoor wedding in Ava’s home state of Alabama! Although it was totally unexpected, it made for beautiful pictures and fun memories.

We love staying active through CrossFit, pickleball, and taking our sweet mini golden doodle, Piper, for walks.

About Us

Our faith, family and church family are most important to us. We believe in God and believe that He has created each of us uniquely and for a purpose. Our community group has been instrumental in growing our faith and we love being a part of their lives and their families’ lives.

We love being outdoors, whether it’s playing golf, corn hole, pickleball or going for a bike ride. We love going to sporting events such as football, soccer, and hockey.

We are both very driven and hard-working. Our jobs provide us the opportunity to do what we love – helping others reach their goals and dreams. We have flexible work schedules which allow one of us to be home often.

About Adam

Ava says: Adam is someone who lets his faith lead him in every area of life. He is a natural leader and makes everyone in his presence feel seen and heard. He is trustworthy- his ‘yes’ is ‘yes’ and his ‘no’ is ‘no’. Adam is a patient teacher in that he helps others see and reach their full potential. He has a big heart and has taught me (and countless others) how to live in grace. He has a great sense of humor and encourages me to always try something new.

Adam challenges himself daily. He enjoys doing CrossFit and is currently working on perfecting his handstand walks! He also has been learning to speak Spanish.

He has a knack for a lot of things, but two stick out the most: finding the best local restaurants wherever we go and never meeting a stranger! His ability to talk to anyone is quite impressive.

Last but not least, he serves on our “Connections” team at our local church in which he greets members and has a chance to meet guests and make them feel welcomed. Adam will be a loving dad with all the best dad jokes!

“I look forward to teaching our child what it means to love the Lord and to glorify Him in all that we do. I want to teach them to stand in integrity and to look out for the needs of others. I hope to share my love of sports. I want them to be a part of seeing what we do in our careers and understanding hard work. I desire to teach them how to empathize, care and be understanding towards those around them.”-Adam

About Ava

Adam says: If I had to describe Ava in one word, I would say resilient. Ava cares deeply for those around her. She is rooted in her faith and uses that as her moral compass to live her life. She is fun, spontaneous and always up for a good time regardless of the day or time. Ava is both caring and compassionate, but will always speak truth in love. Ava is a lighthouse during a hurricane–consistent and dependable, providing a haven for anyone who needs a friend.

She loves to spend a warm sunny afternoon reading on the front porch.

Ava is currently studying to become a Nutrition Health Coach. She wants to use her expertise to help those around her live long healthy lives by educating them and helping them reach their health goals!

“I look forward to teaching our child about Jesus and what it means to follow Him. I hope to share my love of nature and books. I want to teach leading with courage and confidence, and being all that God created them to be. I look forward to having fun and teaching them not to take themselves so serious.”-Ava

Our Home in Ohio

Our home is a two-story, four-bedroom home situated in a suburb. We bought our house knowing that it would one day be filled with the sound of kids’ laughter. Our neighborhood has sidewalks throughout that safely lead to parks where children can play. We have a fenced in backyard where we spend a lot of time throwing the ball for Piper, our dog, to chase.

We hope to provide a home in which we nurture, love, and care for each other. Family dinners are a great way for us to have real, authentic conversations. We hope to provide a safe place for our family to land. We are surrounded by a community of family and friends that share in our excitement of growing our family. We have made many memories here and hope to make many more with our future family.

Our Family

We both come from a loving family and parents who taught us the values that we still carry with us today.

Adam is the youngest of three boys. He grew up playing sports where he excelled in football. His mom is an amazing cook, and she passed down her cooking skills to Adam and for that, Ava is very thankful!

Ava has 2 brothers and a sister. They were always playing a game of kickball or baseball in the backyard during their childhood.

Although we travel to see extended family, we make the most of technology through FaceTime as well as being intentional with being present during big milestones.

Both of our families are thrilled about our adoption journey. Our nieces and nephews can’t wait to add another cousin to the crew. Family is very important to us, and we promise that your child will be well loved and cared for.

Our Promise

We promise to raise your child to love Jesus and to love people. We promise to love and nurture your child. We promise to provide the best education to equip them to be successful not only professionally, but personally as well.

Our family values include: Faith, Honesty, Generosity, Hard Work and FUN. As your child grows up, we promise to teach them these values to carry throughout their lives.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Our Special Interests

We have a unique opportunity to work together. One of the things we love about our jobs is that we get to invest in the next generation of leaders. When not at work, we love spending time with our friends, finding new restaurants to try, and playing competitive games of pickleball (or any sport really).

Our Faith

We are active participants in our local Christian church. Our church family has truly been the hands and feet of Jesus as we have experienced challenges and loss. We believe it is important to raise our children in church around like-minded people. A quote that we often refer to is "Show me your friends and I'll show you your future." We believe the people we surround ourselves with will either build us up or tear us down. We have found a great community that helps build us up and we hope to raise our children in this same environment.

3 Bucket List Items

We love to travel! Three places on our "Travel Bucket List" include Italy, the Grand Canyon, and Hawaii. Adam's ancestors are from Italy so it would be a dream to visit the area his family lived. We love the outdoors and love to explore God's beautiful creation and the Grand Canyon is a perfect spot for that. As lovers of history, Hawaii offers a lot of that as well as a relaxing vacation. (And Ava loves a great "beach day"!)

Our Values

-Faith: We believe in God and believe that He is sovereign over all things. We pray to be obedient to Him in all things and will teach our children about who He is.
-Honesty: We believe it is important to be honest with each other, no matter how hard it is to tell the truth. Every healthy relationship is built on trust and honesty, and we will teach our children the importance of these two things.
-Generosity: We believe that everything we have is a gift and want to live with hands open. We believe in the importance of discernment, while being available to give when God calls us to do so.
-Hard Work: We believe that we should give our very best in all that we do. We want to persevere and reach the goals we set for ourselves.
-Fun: We believe it is important to have FUN in everything we do. What's life if we don't laugh and enjoy what we are doing?

In Closing

We are so excited to begin this journey to grow our family. We look forward to enjoying all the "firsts" of having a child. We are most excited for all of life's greatest adventures from family walks and movie nights to family dinners and vacations with a new little one in tow. We promise to love and nurture your child, and provide a steady home. We are open to contact and communication throughout the child's life.
