Hello! We’re Adrian and Joslynn, a couple from the beautiful Land of Enchantment—New Mexico. As a family-oriented couple who loves sports, we are excited to start our journey as first-time parents through adoption. We deeply value quality time with our loved ones and take great pride in supporting local youth and high school athletes. We would love to stay connected with you through letters, pictures, and occasional visits if you’re comfortable with that.

Como pareja orientada a la familia y amante de los deportes, estamos entusiasmados de comenzar nuestro viaje como padres primerizos a través de la adopción. About Us!

We’ve been happily married for 8 years. Our journey together began with a chance meeting, and we discovered we had mutual friends. Since then, we’ve enjoyed countless adventures—quick weekend getaways and exciting week-long trips. Every year, we make it a point to explore new places and create lasting memories. One of our favorite traditions is visiting family in central Mexico, which is always a highlight of our travels. We also love shorter trips to Arizona and Colorado to spend time with family.

In the evenings, you’ll often find us outside playing fetch with our younger dog, a lively 6-year-old mixed-breed female. We also have a 15-year-old Chiweenie who prefers a slower pace and enjoys relaxing. Additionally, we share our home with a 10-year-old cat. He adores being scratched and cuddled, adding warmth and love to our family.

On weekends, you’ll often find us walking our dogs and tending to our small orchard on our property. During the week, we’re actively involved in our community, attending local high school sporting and music events. We look forward to continuing this journey and creating new memories as our family grows!

Meet Joslynn

Adrian says: Joslynn is a dedicated educator. She began her career as a kindergarten teacher and is now an assistant principal. I admire her determination and her unwavering commitment to her dreams. She takes immense pride in her work and shows deep concern for the children she impacts. I’d describe her as cautiously outgoing—she’s always open to trying new things, but only once I’ve given them a go first!

Joslynn loves traveling, exploring new places, and planning vacations to make the most of every moment. When she’s not planning our next adventure, she’s invested in local youth. She coaches soccer and attends events for students, past and present. In her free time, she enjoys puzzles and board games. She also cheers on her favorite soccer and football teams.

Joslynn can’t wait to be a mom! She looks forward to sharing her love of children’s books, puzzles, and travel with our child as we start this exciting new chapter.

Meet Adrian

Joslynn says: Adrian is the yin to my yang. I admire his observant, reflective, and intuitive nature. I also appreciate how he challenges me to see things from different angles. I’m most proud of Adrian’s strong desire to earn a degree in engineering technology. He never gave up! He became the first college graduate in his immediate family, a truly remarkable accomplishment.

After working for a major tech company, Adrian chose to become a special education math and science teacher. He wanted to be closer to his family. It’s heartwarming to watch him interact with his students. This is true whether he’s teaching or supporting them at their events.

In his free time, Adrian pours his energy into our 2.5-acre property and small orchard. With his green thumb, he has an incredible ability to grow plants and trees from seeds. He also cherishes spending time with his nieces and nephews, taking on a loving “father figure” role in their lives.

Adrian is excited about becoming a dad! He can’t wait share his love for nature, plants, and fixing things with our child as he embraces fatherhood for the first time.

Our Family

We are fortunate to live within five minutes of most of Joslynn’s immediate and extended family. Her brother and nephew live in Colorado, and one of her grandfathers lives in Arizona. We’re lucky to visit them several times a year and always cherish those moments. We also love hosting Joslynn’s younger cousins, who frequently spend weekends with us or join us on our travels throughout the year.

Adrian’s family is just a 45-minute drive away, including his dad, siblings, and their children. His extended family and mother live in central Mexico, and we are grateful to visit them at least twice a year. We love spending time with Adrian’s nieces and nephews. We often take them on weekend adventures and celebrate their birthdays together.

Our parents and extended family couldn’t be more thrilled about welcoming a new baby. Everyone is excited to share in this joy and pass down our family traditions, including Sunday family dinners.

Our Home in New Mexico

Our home in southern New Mexico is nestled in a small, family-oriented rural town. Newly built, it sits on nearly 2.5 acres of land and has three bedrooms. One of the bedrooms will be a nursery, and we’ve already started restoring some special family heirlooms for it—a dresser and a rocker that both belonged to Joslynn’s great-grandmother.

The main living area has a spacious, open design. We chose it because we love hosting family and friends, including our nieces, nephews, and cousins. During soccer season, we also enjoy hosting the girls from the soccer team Joslynn coaches.

Our property is large and fenced-in, with a smaller fenced yard and a cozy back porch for our two dogs. On warm evenings, we love relaxing on the porch and enjoying the quiet surroundings. We love tending our small orchard while the dogs run and play fetch.

Our Promise

As parents, we promise to love and cherish your child with all our hearts. We will celebrate every milestone, big or small, and encourage them to dream and pursue those dreams. As they grow, we are committed to nurturing their character by instilling values such as integrity, kindness, and respect. We also promise to guide them in understanding who God is and embracing His boundless love for all.

We will let your child explore their interests and passions. We will also foster an appreciation for other cultures and experiences. We promise to always speak openly about adoption, honoring you and the incredible gift you have given.

We are open to your preferred level of contact. This can include letters, emails, videos, pictures, or occasional visits. Your presence in their story will always be celebrated and cherished.
