We are a loving, steady, Christ-centered family. Our relationship is built on kindness, honesty, laughter, and teamwork. We enjoy simple moments together—cooking dinner, playing with the dogs, visiting family, celebrating traditions, and creating a home where people feel welcomed and safe as well as traveling.

Our dream of becoming parents has grown from a deep desire to nurture, guide, and love a child throughout every stage of life. We are committed to speaking about adoption with honesty, compassion, and respect.

About Us

Our story together is a bit modern. Rebekah was in nursing school in Virginia and Alex was starting a career in the natural gas line industry in Ohio. We happened to match on a Christian dating site and the rest is history. Alex knew from almost the beginning that Rebekah was the one for him; she took a little more convincing. Still, almost a year after that first swipe, we were married.

We knew we wanted children and started trying immediately; however, infertility switched up our plans a bit. As Alex was adopted as a baby, we have had a deep connection to adoption and the opportunities and experiences that he was able to experience through it. We know that we were called to adoption and are extremely excited!

We both love dogs and have other shared interests including painting pottery, going on vacations to new places, making dinner together, watching movies, playing board games with friends and family, exploring local places to eat and experience, and building LEGO sets.

About Rebekah

According to Alex: Rebekah is someone who enjoys time with family and friends and loves to lift up and celebrate others. As a registered nurse at a hospital in the Labor and Delivery department she has not only had a calling to start her own family, but to also help others start theirs. She loves a good book and getting lost in a story, especially when it comes to anything related to the Bridgerton books and show. Rebekah loves trying different foods and is an amazing cook and baker. Most of all, Rebekah has been preparing to be a mom as long as she can remember and is going to give her future child all the love in the world in order to give them all the opportunities they desire.

About Alex

According to Rebekah: Alex is very creative and enjoys work that requires his attention to detail. He has progressed far in his career at a young age and is currently a Damage Prevention Specialist for one of the largest gas line companies in North America. This isn’t just a career for him, but a way to help protect our community. Above all, everything Alex does is for his family. Alex loves to spend time with family and friends and enjoys helping them in any way he can. He is very social and loves to make people laugh. He enjoys working on projects around the house, gaming, going out with friends, and loves spending time with me. Alex has always wanted to be a husband and father and believes in preparing, not waiting. One of the ways he has felt called to prepare is by pursuing different children, teen, and adult ministries, including working for a ministry-based homeless shelter for 2 years. Alex is going to do everything he can to provide and protect his family and is excited to provide an amazing life for our family.

Our Home in Ohio

We have a split-level home with 4 bedrooms. We love our open living room, kitchen, and dining room layout with large windows filled with views of the surrounding nature. We are making one of the living spaces into a play/toy room. We have tried to create a modern farmhouse vibe with natural wood and a lot of off-white and olive-green tones. We love our peaceful neighborhood with farm and country views, indoor and outdoor fireplaces where many conversations have sparked, and a large half-acre back yard where we play with the dogs. We very much enjoy working on improvements and planning future projects. Most of all, our house is filled with love and laughter; whether it is just us enjoying it or having our friends and family, we take pride in making our home a safe space for those in our life to enjoy.

Our Family

Rebekah’s family is an outgoing bunch who moved from Virginia to Ohio to be closer to us and are always fun to be around. They all are always willing to help the people around them in any way needed. They raised Rebekah to be respectful, curious, caring, and to love those around her. They have made a huge impact in both of our lives, and we are very blessed to have them around. Rebekah has a brother who lives in North Carolina with his wife, and her parents and grandparents live 20 minutes from us.

Alex’s family is very similar in the way that they care and do their best to help the people around them. They try to get everyone together for all the major holidays, but are all spread across the state and have a unique and inclusive community. His dad is thirty minutes from us, and we see or talk to him at least once a week. Alex is the youngest of 9 siblings, with 4 being adopted.

Our Promise

We promise to raise your child with love, safety, honesty, and respect. We will honor their adoption story, honor you and your choice to allow us to love them, and help them understand that their life began with love. We will encourage them to ask questions, know their story, and feel proud of who they are. We believe that adoption expands connections, rather than limits them. Alex is in contact with some of his biological family in addition to his adoptive family. Those connections have allowed him to be secure in who he is, and we desire that for the child we adopt as well.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Our Pets

Our 3 dogs are a special part of our family. We have a German Shepherd, a Dalmatian, and a Toy Poodle, and they each have their own unique personalities. They bring so much joy, laughter, and love into our home. They are also wonderful with kids and love playing with our nieces and nephews.

We look forward to sharing our home with a child and watching them grow up with our dogs by their side. We can already imagine the sweet moments, playtime, and memories they will share together. Our dogs are very loved, and we know they will be excited to have a little one to love, too.

Family Traditions

-We love watching Harry Potter or The Lord of the Rings during Christmas while decorating the house.
-We play Phase 10 and different card games each family holiday and on Sunday dinners.
-We also have a tradition of posting polaroid photos on our wall whenever a new person visits our house.
