Hello from rural, western Illinois! We are Andrew and Danielle! We absolutely love our small-town life together and look forward to raising a child in a community where the people in the town are more than faces, they’re family. We look forward to showing a child the love of Christ and share many fun adventures together. We are so excited to get to know you whether it be in person, phone calls, video chats, or text messages. Danielle has stepped away from her job to always be readily available. Feel free to reach out anytime. We look forward to hearing from you!

About Us (As told by Danielle)

We met when a friend invited me out for dinner in a different town and Andrew was there. Our friends knew each other, and we ended up hitting it off. We have been together ever since! We have been married 8 years and together 9.

We came to adoption in an effort to grow our family. Other avenues just didn’t seem like a good fit.

We love traveling with our camper, cooking, Jeep rides, swimming, boating, and movie nights at home. We look forward to sharing all of our adventures with a new addition, especially new things that our child would enjoy!

About Danielle

According to Andrew: Danielle is a very outgoing and passionate person who loves to be around people. She is a go-getter, take charge, get stuff done kind of person.

Danielle was a dental hygienist for 10 years. Last year her boss retired, and Danielle transitioned to being a full-time homemaker. Though she still maintains her dental hygienist licensure, she desires to stay home with our future child in order to provide the best possible transition and home life for the child.

Danielle loves trying new things. Her hobbies include making sourdough, gardening, baking, and cooking. Sports and activities are also a part of Danielle’s life; she loves a round of golf on a nice day and playing competitive cornhole.

Danielle says: As a future stay-at-home mother, I look forward to teaching my child life skills as well as gardening, baking, and building things, like garden boxes. I am excited to take our child for walks and experience God’s creation, teach them how to swim, and take them tubing on the lake. I can’t wait to roast hot dogs and marshmallows over the campfire with them too.

About Andrew

According to Danielle: Andrew is the sweetest, most selfless, patient, and humble man I have ever met. He is very good about sitting back and taking everything in. Andrew is a lot of fun and makes friends with everyone he meets.

Andrew started a construction company 16 years ago. He pays very close attention to detail and tries to treat everyone’s project like it is his own. He is quite literally a jack of all trades.

The hobbies Andrew enjoys are competitive clay bird shooting, hunting, playing golf, darts, and competitive cornhole. Andrew also has an old car he likes to work on, as well as working on projects in his shop.

Andrew says: I am looking forward to teaching my child how to work on vehicles, build things, and show him/her what it means to live for God. I look forward to many water park visits and going down all the slides with them, and taking the Jeep to get a slushy or ice cream on Sunday evenings as a family.

Our Family

We live down the road from Andrew’s parents. They live on their farm next door to his grandma. His brother, his wife, and their children live about 20 minutes away. His other brother, brother’s wife, and their son live near Detroit.

Danielle’s mom and dad live about two hours away. Her Sister, sister’s husband, and their 4 children actually live next door to her parents. We are also very close to many of Danielle’s cousins, including a cousin who has recently gone through adoption and is looking to continue a foster care journey.

Everyone is so excited for us to adopt and has been helping us through this process!

Our Home in rural Illinois

We live in a rural, farming, community in Illinois. Our home is a 130-year-old farmhouse that we have completely renovated and sits on 18 acres with a large yard and space for all the outdoor activities. Our home has 4 bedrooms, a dining room with a large farmhouse style table, a living room with a cozy stone fireplace, and a lot of space for family time and gatherings.

Our hometown has a small grocery store, churches, gas stations, and a couple restaurants. We also have an awesome golf course, which has the longest covered bridge in the state of Illinois that Andrew’s dad and grandpa built. The school district is one of the most sought out districts in the area. We have a very nice park; Danielle takes our dog Koda, there to go for walks quite often. So even though it’s a small quaint town, it still has so much to offer.

Our Promise

We promise to raise your child up to know and have a relationship with their Heavenly Father. We promise to love them unconditionally and always be there to support them in their goals, and to help them learn and nurture their gifts and so they can reach their full potential. We promise to cover them in prayer, as we already do.

Your child will have a life full of adventure with so many wonderful memories of camping trips, swimming, boating, and movie nights on the porch. They will always be surrounded by friends, family, and a supporting community. They will be given the opportunity to embrace their gifts and talents no matter what they may be.

As far as open adoption, we are 100% on board with whatever you are comfortable with and desire. We are more than willing to meet you in person, have phone calls, text, share pictures, whatever you prefer.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Our Special Interests

Camping--One of our biggest interests is camping. We recently bought a brand-new camper in preparation for a child/children. They will have their own bedroom now in the camper. We have been to 14 different states with our camper. We enjoy water activities, swimming, boating, kayaking, Jeeping, as well as simple things like going for walks and trying new restaurants.

Fundraising--Another thing we like to do is host fundraisers for people in need. Danielle and her mom do most of the facilitating and Andrew helps setup and tear down. We run a huge cornhole tournament/fundraiser in memory of Danielle's brother who passed away every year to raise money for the homeless, adults and children with cancer, a homeless shelter for underage teens, and so much more. It is a huge part of our lives.

Our Faith

Our faith in our Heavenly Father is so important to us. Danielle grew up in a Christian home and has always had a personal relationship with Christ. Andrew grew up in a Catholic home and gave his life to Christ after meeting Danielle. Both of us are strong believers in God as our creator and that He sent his Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for all of us. God definitely brought the two of us together, and most importantly we know that He loves us, and He has always been by our side.

Our Pet

We have a medium sized dog named Koda. He is a "Morkie", maltese-yorkie mix. He is 4 years old and goes pretty much everywhere with us. He loves all of the nieces and nephews, and I know he will be so excited to have a child in our home. Koda is very adventurous. We go for walks down the road by our house a lot. He also kayaks and camps with us.

Why We Are Adopting

We have been trying to have children since we got married, so almost 8 years. We have had many miscarriages, and we do not necessarily believe in extensive measures to become pregnant.

We thought we had made peace with not being parents, but decided to pray a lot about it and felt a strong calling to adopt. We have always wanted to share our lives and adventures with a child. Just like our story about how we met, we can see God's hand in all of this. He has truly guided us and worked everything out. Our favorite scripture is Romans 8:28, "for God causes all things to work out for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them". We stand firm on this and are so excited for what the future holds. We can't wait to become parents through adoption.

In Closing

Being parents is something we dreamt about since we were very young. Adoption was always something we were interested in as well. I cannot even describe how excited we are to become parents. We look forward to taking our child on all of our camping trips; we are even looking at buying a new camper so they have their own room! On those camping trips we want to take them to water parks, beaches, mountain views, bike riding, all the fun things camping has to offer. Not to mention letting them grow up in the country fishing, farming, hunting, creek walks, mushroom hunting, four-wheeler rides, and movie nights on the porch. We will always be honest with our child about where they came from and are very open to sharing their life with you as much or as little as you'd like.
