Hello from the Pacific NW! We are Andrew, Elizabeth, and our daughter, Emma. Our family is rooted in love, laughter, traditions, memories, and a deep sense of connection to our faith, family and friends.

Being a mom and dad has been the biggest blessing in our lives! Since Emma was born, we have struggled with miscarriages. Adoption has been on our hearts and is in both of our families. Elizabeth grew up with all 3 of her siblings being adopted and Andrew has a niece through adoption. These experiences have shown us how love makes a family, and we’ve long felt called to open our hearts and home through adoption.

A bit about us

How it began: Andrew left his childhood home in Tennessee to join the United States Navy. His first duty station was Washington State…where Elizabeth lived. Walking into a new church, Elizabeth came up and greeted him. As they say, the rest is history!

How its going: Almost nine years later, life is so full. Emma is 6 years old and Flynn, the dog, is 7. Faith and family remain the biggest portions of our lives. We are active in our local church weekly. We live right down the road from Elizabeth’s parents, and a town over from her sister and one of her brothers. Trips to Tennessee happen at least annually, and always include a trip to Dollywood, the best fountain in downtown Knoxville, and lots of time with Grammy and Grandaddy.

What we enjoy doing together: We love spending time as a family going to local destinations like the Pacific Ocean Coast or up into the Cascade Mountains. Family is important, so getting together with the grandparents for a meal or trip to the park is a normal practice for us. We enjoy fun and a bit of competition while playing boardgames, card games, and the occasional Mario Party. We spend time reading stories and talking about what is going on our lives.

Elizabeth - The Party Planner

Elizabeth’s dream was to be a mom and have the opportunity to create a home filled with love, laughter, and warmth–the kind of place where kids love to gather and everyone knows they are welcome. She absolutely loves being a mom and wife! Family means everything to her, and she pours her heart into making everyday moments special. She can’t wait to pour into another child–to sit and have story times together, go on walks, visit some of our local parks, and bake cookies in the kitchen.

Elizabeth is a natural host—she enjoys planning get-togethers, throwing parties, and making others feel cared for. In her free time, she loves going for walks, gardening, reading, and spending time outdoors.

Andrew - The Steady One

Becoming a father is something Andrew has always been passionate about. He cherishes making memories with our family. Andrew was beyond thrilled when we welcomed our daughter, Emma, into the world and held her for the first time. He cannot wait to do the same with another child. Some of the things he enjoys doing most is spending time with our family. Going on trips, playing board games, creating Lego adventures, and reading are some of the things he enjoys doing most with our daughter, and looks forward to sharing with our next child.

Andrew has worked hard to serve his country being active duty in the United States Navy. He set a goal to become a Commissioned Officer so that he could spend more time at home with our family for his remaining Naval career. Andrew achieved his goal.

In Andrew’s free time, he enjoys planning family trips or events, going out to parks, riding his motorcycle, and tinkering with electronics on computer systems.

Our Daughter, Emma - A Burst of Sunshine

Emma is fun-loving, playful, sweet, and kind! She wakes up each morning with joy in her smile and excitement in her heart. She’s incredibly thoughtful—always writing letters, drawing pictures for friends, and giving out big hugs.

She has a special way of noticing others and making them feel seen, which means she makes friends wherever she goes. Her days are filled with the things she loves most: friends, gymnastics, learning, swimming, and plenty of playtime!

One of the sweetest parts of our day is hearing her pray for our family to adopt a new baby. She’s beyond excited to become a big sister and is ready to welcome a new sibling into her heart with open arms.

Our Home in Washington

Our home is more than just four walls — it’s the love, care, and community that fills it. It’s a place where kindness is felt, laughter is shared, and everyone is safe and welcomed just as they are.

Our 3-bedroom home is often full of family or friends. Whether we’re gathered in our dining room for a meal, playing Mario or yard games, or simply spending time together around the fire pit in our backyard, our goal is always to create a space where everyone feels loved and valued.

We live on a small street at the end of a cul-de-sac that all the neighborhood kids enjoy coming to. We have a small front yard with a vegetable garden. Out back we have a fenced-in backyard to let our pup run free or the kids play on a swing and hammock. Our covered back patio allows us to host company outside.

Our faith is central to how we live and love. We believe in serving one another and those around us — through our church and by responding to needs as they arise in our community.

Our Promise

We are truly honored that you’ve taken the time to learn about our family. Please know that we have been praying for you on this journey.

As a family, our faith shapes who we are individually and collectively. We are committed to loving and caring for one another unconditionally, and we promise to share that same deep love, care, and devotion with your child. They will always know they are loved beyond measure, encouraged to follow their dreams, and supported every step of the way.

We will surround them with a Christ-like community that lifts them up and shares God’s truth and love.  We will speak often of your love—the love that chose them and chose us. Your child will grow up knowing their adoption story and how incredibly grateful we are for the gift of being a family. We are here to support you and are open to staying in touch through updates you might desire.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Quality Time Together

We truly value time spent together and love making memories in both the everyday moments and big adventures.

Some of our favorite things to do as a family include:
-Taking walks with our sweet dog, Flynn
-Riding the ferry for day trips and spontaneous family adventures
-Traveling—especially to warm, tropical beaches!
-Cozy family game nights by the fire
-Summer BBQs and pool time with extended family
-Reading aloud together—pretty much anywhere!

Whether we’re close to home or off exploring somewhere new, we believe the best part of life is doing it side by side.

Family Traditions

We cherish the moments that bring us together—whether it's the smell of cinnamon rolls while watching the Macy's Day Parade, gathering around the table for a big Thanksgiving feast, or spending the afternoon puzzling, watching football, and sneaking in naps.

Each year, we look forward to our lighthouse getaway—flying kites, playing in the sand, and exploring the lighthouse itself. It's become a beautiful pause in our year, full of laughter and salty breezes.

But sometimes, it's the little daily habits that mean the most—bedtime stories, warm snuggles, laughter...these are the heartbeat of our home.

Military Life

Like most things, being an active duty military family comes with its ups and downs. We’ve been incredibly blessed to live in the same home for the past eight years—close to family and rooted in a wonderful community. Andrew’s job is stable and provides well for our family, which brings peace of mind and a strong foundation.

One of the greatest gifts of military life has been the people—we’ve met some incredible friends who have truly become like family. While the nature of military life means we may not always live near loved ones, the experiences, friendships, and life of service have been deeply rewarding.

Military life has taught us to make each day count and to create memories while we can. It’s also helped us grow in empathy—reminding us to consider others, to listen well, and to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes before drawing conclusions. We’re thankful for the life we live and the lessons it continues to teach us.

Family is Forever

Elizabeth's family lives nearby, so many holidays are spent together doing fun things like decorating gingerbread houses, an annual lighthouse beach stay, summer afternoons at Nana and Papa's pool, and living life together. Park days with cousins are also a hit with the kids!

Andrew's family is a bit farther away, but we all make the effort to see each other multiple times a year. We are pro-travelers and enjoy things that the south has to offer like the Smoky Mountains, Dollywood, Andrew's childhood friends, and lots of games with Grammy and Granddaddy!

We’re excited to grow our family through adoption and can’t wait to welcome another child into our lives and be welcomed into our entire family.

In Closing

We’re eager and ready to welcome another child into our lives—not just as parents, but as a family that embraces every child as a unique and cherished God-given gift. Our home is rooted in unconditional love, steady support, and deep faith.

We would be truly honored to walk this journey with you—to get to know you and to hear your hopes and dreams for your baby. Please know that you are already in our prayers.

We’d love to connect with you. If you’d like to learn more about our family, we’re here with open hearts and listening ears.
