Watch Our Video

Hello! We are Andrew and Julie and are so excited to get to know you! We’ve been married for 9 years and met through mutual friends. We love to watch the South Carolina Gamecocks together and Andrew loves Navy Football, even when they don’t do very well! We both love to travel and were able to visit Italy before Covid shut the world down. We are planning on visiting Ireland, Scotland, and Germany in the future.

We talked and prayed before beginning our adoption journey and know that this is what God has for us. We can’t wait to share the world with our child.

About Us

Andrew works as a sales consultant and Julie works at our church as an assistant to the Finance Pastor. Andrew has never met a stranger, which is good since he meets all kinds of people with his job in sales! Julie loves working with the kids at the church and volunteers on the welcome team, even though she’s the introvert and Andrew is definitely the extrovert!

Andrew loves using his smoker to make pulled pork, smoke roasts, and as a grill for steaks and fish. He loves cooking and hates cleaning the kitchen! Julie is a huge fan of British TV shows and loves to binge watch while snuggling with our cat. She is a fantastic cook and also hates cleaning the kitchen, so we team up to get it done.

Andrew can be competitive when playing games, but Julie usually destroys him at Uno! We are looking forward to sharing new experiences with our child, teaching them about other cultures, and about being a good sport!

We have not been able to have children naturally and have been praying to expand our family and share the love we have for each other, and for God, with a child. We are both blessed with families that love us and have brought us up to share that love. We hope you will join us in this journey!

Meet Andrew

Julie says: Andrew is a kid at heart! He’s adventurous and loves to make me laugh! He’s so calm in every difficult situation, and he always brings and sees the humor in life.

Andrew loves to read, telling stories, playing Nintendo Switch, and hanging out with friends. He’s excited to teach his child to ride a bike, rollerblade, and play catch. His football skills are not great, but he’s got some great soccer skills from living in England and playing at recess! He’s definitely looking forward to teaching his child how to swim and show them the ocean!

I’ve watched him grow in his relationship with God over the years and be the spiritual leader of our family. God calls us to love His children and Andrew definitely loves on people well. He’s never met a stranger and loves to help people succeed. It’s what makes him a great manager, too. He listens and cares. He is such an extrovert and really balances us out! He’s definitely the one to urge me to try new things…like ziplining in Costa Rica and electric biking in Rome! He’s always the encourager and comforter, which is why I know he’s going to make a great father.  I can’t wait to watch God work through him!

Meet Julie

Andrew says: The thing you need to know about Julie is her heart. She is the sweetest person you will ever meet. She loves to host people in our home and her hospitality is extraordinary!

She has taken care of her mother and father as they get older and need some looking after, because she loves them. She loves on my nephews like that aunt we all thought was the coolest person ever.

Julie loves making and sharing her family recipes, and can’t wait to have a helper in the kitchen. She will be such a great encourager, teaching her son or daughter how to cook, how to play games like a champ, reading to them, and teaching them to read. We are committed to homeschooling and Julie is so excited to help our child learn and grow!

Christmas is her favorite time of year. From November 1st through January, it’s decorating and music and planning for family. She reminds me of what is really important, and I know she’s going to be a great mom!

Our Extended Family

Andrew is blessed with a younger brother and 2 nephews. They are currently stationed overseas right now but will be returning this year! Andrew can’t wait to see them again. Andrew’s mom is about 6 hours away in Alabama. She is super excited about us expanding our family.

Julie is the youngest daughter of 3. Her sisters plan to spoil the baby rotten! They both have children that are grown and are excited to be the “Cool Aunties”. Julie’s parents live very close, and Julie has taken on the role of caring for her mom and dad. They are wonderful people with big hearts and are praying for us as we go through this adoption journey. They can’t wait to meet their new grandchild! Each year, Julies family gets together for Christmas and does a gift swap. It’s great to have the whole family together sharing the Christmas spirit.

We have an older cat who is the absolute sweetest thing. She loves to lay on our laps while we watch movies or TV and snuggle.

Our Home in South Carolina

When we purchased our house, we did so with the idea of bringing a family into it. We have a lovely 2 story, 4-bedroom home with a loft area, perfect for gatherings, and a small patio out back that has a table and chairs, and Andrew’s smoker. We live in a wonderful, smaller neighborhood with several families with children and an ice cream truck that comes by in the summer! We love taking walks around the neighborhood and are looking forward to walking with our child.

We have a beautiful park nearby and Andrew can’t wait to take our child out and fly kites, ride bikes, and all the other fun “Dad” things.

We’re excited to enlarge our family! One thing that Andrew loved about growing up was that his parents made their home Grand Central Station for his and his brother’s group of friends. We are committed to having an open house for our family and friends, and to keeping our family safe and being involved with both our child’s friends and their parents.

Our Promise

Our promise for your child is that we will love, guide, and never stop praying for them; we will always show your child love, patience, kindness, and prayer. We are already praying for you and your baby. Our promise is that this house is going to be one where we trust God and His plans, we laugh as a family, and we always care for each other.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Fun facts!

Andrew has visited 48 of the 50 states, missing only Maine and Alaska. His dad was in the Air Force, and they moved quite a bit. South Carolina is the 23rd place he's moved to, and he's happy that he's been here for almost 20 years!

Julie is a brilliant investigator. In fact, when we were planning our wedding, Andrew was responsible for the honeymoon. He was doing great at keeping it a secret, but Julie managed to guess it with just a few clues about what to pack! I guess you really need to know whether to bring snow boots or swimsuits! We loved every minute of our honeymoon in the Dominican Republic!

Our Faith

Our faith is what grounds us and guides us. Knowing that Jesus loves us helps us live a life of joy, even when things are stressful or sad.

Our Musical Interest

Andrew can be found listening to almost anything! He loves listening to classical music, or new electronic music. His favorite satellite radio stations are symphony hall, BPM, and 60's gold. Julie loves the old time Christmas music, and worship songs. She will also jam out to 90's rock!

3 Things on our bucket list

We love to travel! We have been to Italy and Costa Rica.
-Our 1st bucket list is to have a vacation in England, Scotland, and Wales.
-Our 2nd bucket list is a trip to Germany and France. Gotta see Paris in person!
-Our 3rd bucket list is Andrew wants to see Australia or Japan...Or both! As long as it's summer; Andrew hates the cold!

In Closing

We are incredibly thankful that you are considering us to be parents to your child. We promise that we will love, cherish, and provide for them first in our household. You will always be a part of their life, and ours. Our promise is also to you, with an open adoption, that you will be able to share in their life. We haven't met you yet, but we've been praying for you and hope to hear from you soon.
