Watch Our Video
Hi! We love spending time with our favorite people, going out for movies and popcorn, taking walks to the dog park with our two pups, going to football games, and having coffee dates with friends. We have always talked about adopting a child, especially since Amber was adopted as a young child. Going through infertility brought us closer as a couple and deepened our desire to raise a family together. We’re excited to adopt our first child! It would be good to learn more about you through this process, or continue a relationship with you after the adoption, if you’d like. Thank you for considering us as adoptive parents!
Our Story
We met at our church 7 years ago. Austin grew up in Washington State and Amber grew up around some of Austin’s family. When Austin moved to Texas, we officially met one Sunday morning while serving at church in the children’s ministry. Now we’ve been happily married about 5 years!
Things we love doing together:
• The whole movie theater experience—complete with buttery popcorn, a soda, and candy!
• Playing card or board games (it’s fun to let our competitive side out!)
• Cooking dinner at home for a night in with our favorite shows
• Volunteering at church: Austin serves in the children’s ministry and Amber is on the media team
• Catching up on our favorite shows (lately it’s been Survivor!)
About Amber
Austin Says: I would describe Amber as loving, caring, patient, and kind-hearted. She truly likes being around kids and they always take to her easily. Going by the way I watch her with other children in our circle, Amber will be an affectionate, attentive, strong, and protective mom.
A few of Amber’s interests:
• Reading books at a coffee shop (she likes romance or fantasy novels!)
• Shopping at bookstores for books she’s never seen before
• Journaling about books she reads
About Austin
Amber says: I love that Austin is so caring and always puts others first. It’s common for him to ask me if I need anything so he can help out. Austin loves kids, especially to play silly games with them or make them laugh. He is going to be a great dad!
A few of Austin’s interests:
• Playing video games on my computer
• Playing sports (he just started on the church softball league)
• Volunteering to work with or mentor children in our community
Our Home in Texas
We live in a small-ish town in Texas, though it’s grown a lot over the last several years. Amber grew up here and Austin has been here since we met. We love living in smaller towns to enjoy the close community and fun festivals (our favorite is the Christmas parade downtown!) and farmers’ markets. Our home is in a quiet, friendly neighborhood, across the street from a high school and less than a mile from a middle school. We have a decent sized fenced-in yard with plenty of room for our dogs to run. This is a great place to raise a family!
Our Families
Amber comes from a big family with 11 children total. She and 5 of her siblings were adopted. Their experience gives us a special perspective that will help us as we raise a child through adoption too. Austin has siblings nearby and out of state as well. We have more than 20 nieces and nephews! We enjoy time with our family locally and planning trips to visit relatives out of the area. Between our families and close friends, we have a huge support system that is always there for us.
Our Promise
We both share a passion for adoption and are excited about building our family this way. In addition to Amber’s personal adoption experience, we have close friends and relatives who are touched by adoption too. We’ve seen the blessing adoption can be! We promise to love your child, no matter what. Whatever we come across, we will always be there for him or her to help, teach, encourage, and support. We promise to raise your child in a stable home where they can express themselves and become who they are meant to be.
As adoptive parents we will:
• Teach our child to be respectful of others and learn to do the right thing.
• Provide good education and opportunity for college.
• Raise him or her in a Christian home, with a healthy community of loving, welcoming people.
• Be honest with our child about adoption and make sure he or she knows we will answer any questions about our family’s story.
• Stay in contact with you, if you’d like, sharing letters, photos, and occasional visits.
• Make sure he or she knows how much you will always mean to us.
We’d love to talk with you and learn more about who you are and the life you want for your baby! Thank you for considering us as a family for your child. To connect with us, please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family
What matters to us...
We value the importance of faith and family. Our faith in God carries us through anything we face in life. Our church is very family-focused and invests in the children of our community. Amber works from home and is able to adjust her schedule to fit around our family’s routine, so we will not need daycare. Our parents are also ready (and excited!) to babysit for us, when needed. We know the support of our families will be such a gift as we raise our child.
Fun Facts
Amber: I collect themed playing cards from places we visit, like San Antonio or Seattle, or about stories or shows I enjoy, like Harry Potter or Friends.
Austin: I am a kid at heart and love to volunteer to help out with the games at children’s events, like VBS at our church.
Things we enjoy with our extended family...
• Grilling for dinner and hanging out
• Lunch after church on Sundays
• Playing games together
• Austin’s moms parties for birthdays, back-to-school, and Fourth of July
• Making cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning
Our Dogs
We have a long-haired Dachshund, named Dixie, and a Mini-Australian Shepherd, named Phoebe. Dixie is a relaxed, loving dog who loves to snuggle. Phoebe is a smart, loyal and active dog who loves to play fetch or take walks.
