Hello from Wyoming!
We are an outdoorsy, active couple who value experiences, time with family, and our relationship with God. We look forward to welcoming your child into our family and cannot wait to start new adventures and share new memories with them!
Thank you for taking the time to read about us, and we can’t wait to go on this journey with you!
Our Story
We met at freshman orientation in college, then again that winter when we re-met at country swing dancing; Ben literally swept Jess off her feet! Now over 10 years later, we still are each other’s best friend and prefer to spend our time together. Our full-time remote jobs have been a blessing in disguise. We can work from anywhere, adjust our hours to suit our needs, and spend more quality time together. We have also found new ways to communicate, collaborate, and have fun together, making our relationship stronger and happier.
Outdoors we like to hike, camp, kayak, or just off-road to see the country, and we can’t wait to share these adventures with our future child. At home, we like to take walks with our dog, host game nights with our friends, and try not to watch our current favorite TV show in one weekend.
We attend a community church that has a large children’s program that we cannot wait for our child to become a part of. We truly feel that God has always guided us to adopt, and now we are so excited to grow our family!
My husband, Ben
Jess says: Ben is the extrovert to my homebody and always tries to make me laugh. He is supportive, caring, hard-working, and always expanding his knowledge on anything and everything! He is an engineer and has a remote work from home job which gives him very flexible hours. He grew up working for his parents’ plumbing and AC company and is good with his hands. He was the lead in remodeling our house and is always willing to take on whatever project I have planned! In his spare time Ben likes to play some video games with his family (including his parents!) and find things in the garage to tinker with and build. Ben is my social butterfly and loves to host game nights and backyard barbecues with friends, neighbors, and co-workers. His fun-loving and goofy personality is going to make him an amazing dad. He is excited to play with Legos again with our child and show them the world.
My wife, Jess
Ben says: Jess is my amazing wife and best friend. She loves to read, bake, and travel, and she always finds time to do something fun and creative. Jess is the most kind, generous, and supportive person I know. She always encourages me to pursue my goals and dreams, and she is always there for me when I need her. She is also great with children. She has a natural way of connecting with them and making them feel comfortable and happy. She loves to babysit our nieces and nephews, and they adore her. Jess has always wanted to be a mother, and I know she will be an amazing one as she has so much love and wisdom to share with a child. I can’t wait to see her reading stories while holding our child in her arms and show them how to have fun, be creative, and explore all of life’s adventures. Jessica is the perfect partner for me, and I’m so grateful to have her in my life.
Our family
Ben’s family lives in town and loves to get together for family game nights, BBQs, and church every Sunday. We try to plan a trip at least once a year to visit his brother’s family in Texas. Ben’s grandmother ran a foster program, and his mom has four adopted sisters that Ben is close to.
Jess has one younger sister. Her parents are retired in northern Arizona and cannot wait to become first-time grandparents! She is excited to continue her family tradition of “Grandparents Camp” over the summer, where us and the kids can run on their ranch and learn about the wildlife and more family traditions.
We are blessed to have both our families’ support and encouragement. They have always known that we wanted to adopt our children and expand our family. They are eager to welcome a child with open arms and hearts. They are ready to shower them with love, attention, and fun. We know that our child will have a lot of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who will love them unconditionally and be there for them throughout life.
Our Home in Wyoming
Our home can be taken anywhere! We got the largest home on wheels we could find with our future family in mind. It has a large living room, kitchen, office, master bedroom and a large loft accessed by stairs–a space we eagerly anticipate our child making their own.
We decided that we wanted our family to be a little closer, but not sacrifice the instability of traveling with a small child. So, we decided to bring our home to them by moving into something a little more mobile than the standard house. We also enjoy the low maintenance of it compared to a house, so we can spend more time doing the things we enjoy with our family and in the beautiful outdoors!
During summers, we relish the beauty of northern Wyoming near the Big Horn mountains. Nestled on Ben’s parents’ large plot of land in a charming small town, we’re immersing ourselves in the local community. When winter arrives, we head south to Northern Arizona where Jess’s family welcomes us for holiday celebrations. Their spacious property provides plenty of room for exploration, from off-roading to desert hikes, ideal in the mild Arizona winter climate.
We both work remote with incredibly flexible schedules, so we are able to work on the road while we make memories! We only plan to do this for a few years while we plan our future home, but we thought we should enjoy this time with our little one around family. We cannot wait to allow our child to grow up with so many family members to surround them with loving arms and unforgettable memories.
Our Promise
We promise to love and care for your child with our whole hearts. We will show them nothing but love and encouragement for every milestone they pass and passion they want to pursue. We promise to give them every opportunity to learn, grow, and love in Christ, family, community, school, and life. Your child will be surrounded by loving arms from our families that will cherish every moment they spend with them. We promise to raise them with family traditions that can include yours. We hope to share updates through pictures, letters, calls, or occasional visits.
We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family
About Our Pets!
Tank is an American Staffordshire Terrier mix who is very easy going and is always down for a day on the couch or a weekend of RVing and hiking. We knew we wanted kids when we rescued him as a puppy, so we have trained him and given him a lot of experience around kids ever since we got him. He absolutely adores children and loves to go visit our nieces and nephews, where he is a big hit! He loves to play with his toys with them and snuggle them gently on the couch.
Broseph is our cat who thinks he is a dog. He is a sweet boy who loves to explore, play, boss around Tank, and sunbathe in our bay window.
Favorite Seasonal Activities:
-Spring: off-roading in the mountains, plan summer activities!

-Fall: drive to see fall colors, football (go pokes)
-Winter: game nights, binge watch TV series, fires, cozy blankets, holidays with family
Some Family Traditions:

-Christmas: Opening gifts, homemade monkey bread, spending time with family
-New Year's Eve: Board games into the new year!
-While we have carried on some family traditions from each side of our family, we haven't set a lot in stone yet as the world and our family has been changing and moving. This year we started a new tradition of attending a Santa Run with Jessica's family. There is a 1 mile event as well that we all just can't wait to be apart of too. We look forward to making new traditions with your child, which can include some from your family as well.
Why We Are Adopting
Adoption has been in our hearts separately since we were young. Ben has adoption in his family and he loves the community his grandparents created through his adopted aunts. Jess has always wanted to adopt because she knows there are many children in the world that need loving homes.
This is why we feel that God has been guiding us to adoption!
