Hello from the mountains of North Carolina! We are Brandon & Lindsey!

We are excited to introduce ourselves and are happy you are here! Lindsey is a registered nurse, Brandon is a heavy equipment operator, and we have been married for 5 years. We are excited and prepared to start our family through open adoption. We believe life is a blessing and each day is a gift, and we can’t wait to share our lives with a child. Our life is centered around God and filled with joy, family, and friends. Thank you for taking time to learn more about us!

More About Us

We were introduced by mutual friends in 2020, quickly began dating, then were married in 2021. We are grateful to not only have a marriage bond, but also be the best of friends. We truly enjoy doing life together, making memories, and having fun in day-to-day life. Adoption has been something we have talked and prayed about through our years of infertility issues, and we are excited God has now opened this door in our life!

Things we enjoy together:

  • Sitting on the porch to enjoy the mountain views
  • Having a nice cup of coffee
  • Movie date nights
  • Mexican food after church on Sundays
  • Road trips
  • Trout fishing

Meet Brandon

I am a heavy equipment operator at a rock quarry in our town. I have always enjoyed being outside, playing in the dirt, and any piece of equipment. I am excited to teach our child life skills, play with them outside, and make memories doing the things they enjoy!

According to Lindsey: Brandon is a wonderful husband and provider for our family. He is patient, kind, and fun. He leads our family well and makes sure we put God first. He is very talented in building things and can make or build anything he puts his mind to! He is reliable and grounded. I (as well as our friends and family) know we can count on him to always help us with whatever we need and he will do it with a smile. I look forward to watching him grow into fatherhood!

Brandon’s hobbies & interests:

  • Working on house projects (for us & others)
  • Outdoor chores like mowing and splitting wood
  • Working on tractors (or going to tractor shows)
  • Watching movies
  • Fishing and taking Lindsey hunting

Meet Lindsey

I am an outpatient surgery nurse at our local hospital. I plan to become a part-time stay-at-home mom once we adopt. I look forward to spending plenty of time at home with our child, nurturing them daily, and being there for their milestones!

According to Brandon: Lindsey is a very loving and attentive wife. She has a bubbly personality and loves to make relationships with people. She is the kind of person others gravitate toward because she makes them feel loved and comfortable. She enjoys being outside, going on walks with our dogs, inviting people over to our house, and making sweet treats. She is hard-working, rooted in her beliefs, and finds joy every day. She has always desired to be a mother, and I look forward to her sharing her love and energy with our child.

Lindsey’s hobbies & interests:

  • Thrifting or antique shopping
  • Spending time with friends and family
  • Hosting gatherings at our house (for holidays, birthday parties, Bible study)
  • Exercising and staying active
  • Learning to play piano

Our Home in North Carolina

We live in a cozy, yet spacious house in western North Carolina. Our house sits on top of a hill with an almost 360 view of the mountains. Our house is at the end of a small road with other houses and great neighbors. We have a large yard and porches with plenty of space. We are in close distance to two parks and are about 15 minutes from downtown. We have 2 dogs and 10 chickens. We enjoy spending time at home and have worked hard to make it inviting and peaceful. We look forward to new life in our home and one day the pitter-patter of little feet!

Our Family

All of our family members are supportive of our adoption and are excited to welcome a new member into the family! We are close to both sides of our family, visit with them often, and value our relationships with our loved ones. We look forward to raising a child with a large group of people to love them!

Things we enjoy with our family:

  • Traveling to West Virginia to see Lindsey’s family and stay in her family’s cabin
  • Sharing meals (for holidays, special occasions, and just to catch up)
  • Birthday celebrations
  • Playing cornhole, board games, and card games

Our Promise to You

It is our promise to raise your child in a loving, safe, and joyful home where they will be provided for, supported, and encouraged. We will raise your child knowing their adoption story and that they were loved from the beginning. We will raise them to know Jesus and understand that we are adopted by God first through belief in Him. We will honor and respect you and speak kindly about you. We know life comes with challenges and trials; we promise to be a cornerstone for your child in difficult times. We will protect, guide, and nurture your child so they can grow up into the best version of themselves. We are so excited to become adoptive parents and do not take this calling lightly.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Fun Facts About Us

1. We got engaged after just 6 months of dating!
2. We built our house (Brandon did most of the work and had help from family and friends).
3. We lived in a camper while building our house. This was a challenge but also so much fun!
4. We travel somewhere new each year in our state- this year we rode the scenic train in the Smoky Mountains!

Our Faith

In our lives, we live out faith in many ways. We go to church on Sundays and Wednesdays. We are leaders for youth activities at our church. We read our Bibles daily and pray together each morning. Faith and our relationships with Jesus are very important to us.

Some Holiday Traditions

*We host Easter dinner at our house and have an easter egg hunt.
*Brandon's aunt has a 4th of July cookout with lots of people--it is our favorite outdoor party of the year!
*For Thanksgiving we travel to West Virginia to be with Lindsey's family and go hunting.
*Christmas is our favorite, so we pack it full with Christmas movies, going to pick out a tree at a local farm, decorating, baking treats, and enjoying all the time with loved ones.

Our Childcare Plans

Once we adopt, Lindsey will decrease her work hours to part-time. Brandon will remain a full-time worker, but he has a good work schedule and is home every evening and every weekend. This will allow Lindsey to be home the majority of the week to care for our child. When we do need a babysitter, we have close family who have offered to babysit and are prepared to do this. While we do not plan to use traditional daycare, we do plan to spend time socializing our child and allowing for plenty of opportunities to play and interact with other children.

In Closing

Thank you for taking time to learn more about us and our lives! We are excited for this journey and hope to connect with you. We look forward to an open adoption and maintaining a relationship that you are comfortable with. We appreciate you considering us as an adoptive family for your child. We'd love to talk to you!
