Watch Our Video

Hello! We are Brendan and Allison, and we are looking forward to sharing our home with another little one through adoption! Allison is blessed to be a full-time stay-at-home mom after spending 13 years working as a NICU nurse, and Brendan’s flexible schedule allows him to interact with our family throughout the day as he works from home as a computer programmer.

Our Catholic faith is the most important thing in our life, and we love sharing it with our children! For fun we like to go to the park, hang out with our extended family for dinners or parties, visit museums, sit together and read, and take little trips at least once a year. We are looking forward to meeting you!

About Us

We met in 2013 on a dating site for Catholics, quickly became best friends, and married in 2015.

We balance one another out perfectly and have a shared love of traveling, art museums, and going to concerts and symphonies. We also love to embark on treasure-hunting at estate sales. As a family, we like going to the local festivals, parks, out to dinner, and even the local nursery to look at all the flowers and plants.

In the evenings we enjoy sitting and reading together or playing a board game and listening to music. If the weather is nice, we like to spend time outside visiting with our neighbors while the kids play.

Meet Allison

Brendan says: Allison is a strong, faithful wife and mother. She was a NICU nurse before becoming a stay-at-home mom and always puts in the extra time and effort to research everything important to our family, from healthy meals to fun activities we can do together.

She has a beautiful singing voice and likes to play the piano and has sung with various choirs over the years. Some of her other hobbies include photography, watercolor painting, thrift shopping, and learning about natural health topics. Allison is passionate and has a great sense of humor.

She’s really an amazing mom and is looking forward to welcoming another child into our family. She is excited to travel with our children and create memories of family vacations together.

Meet Brendan

Allison says: Brendan is a fantastic husband and dad. He makes time after work every day to spend the evening playing with the kids

He likes to be creative – loves to fix and build things. He is funny, smart, friendly, and innovative. Brendan is also generous, loyal, and faithful to his promises. Some of his favorite things to do are building projects (especially woodworking), going camping, playing golf with his dad or Allison’s brother, and creating computer programs.

He has great memories of growing up with his 6 brothers and sisters and looks forward to creating wonderful memories for our own children.

Brendan is a strong spiritual leader and example to our whole family. His is wholly devoted to our Catholic faith and leads our children in prayer.

Our Family

William, our 9-year-old son, is such a blessing! He is smart, sweet, and is a very loving and protective big brother to his sister. He loves to read, draw, play piano, and build with magnatiles. He enjoys being homeschooled and also attends a weekly homeschool group with friends he’s been with since kindergarten.

Katherine, our 4-year-old daughter, is a complete joy! We were surprised at her birth with a diagnosis of Down syndrome, but that does not stop her from being totally fun, spunky, and silly. She works so hard and goes to an amazing preschool for children with disabilities. She loves babies, and we know she will be the best big sister!

Our Home in Missouri

We bought our home in 2018 on a quiet street in a great neighborhood. We have a split-level, three-bedroom house with two living areas and a finished basement (where Brendan works from home). We love our location, as it is really close to everything we need – our church, great parks and libraries, both sets of grandparents, and even a brand new children’s museum just a few blocks away. The street is filled with wonderful families, and we are friends with almost all our neighbors. There is a playroom downstairs and a shady fenced-in backyard with a great patio where we love to spend time together.

Our Promise to You

We promise to provide a stable, loving, trustworthy, Catholic home for your child. We promise that they will grow up knowing their adoption story. We will always continue to pray for you and encourage your child to do the same. They will know the love of Jesus. Most of all, we promise that your child will know they are cherished unconditionally by us and our entire family!

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Holistic Living

We are both very interested in holistic living - we love to learn about natural remedies, ways to make things from scratch, how to be self-sufficient, buying food from local farms when possible, and just generally learning how to be healthier and raise a healthy family. Allison's background in nursing has given her a really great base knowledge and interest in health, and Brendan grew up with parents who had both lived and worked on a farm, so that value of raising food, eating from the earth, and being self-sufficient was instilled in him from a young age.

Our Friends and Support System

We have been so blessed to have a strong community of friends, mostly from our church, but also in our neighborhood. Having a support system of like-minded families who share our values and also believe in raising children in the faith has been such a gift! Our friends stand ready and willing to help us and our family in any time of need, and we are ready and willing to do the same for them.

Our Extended Family

Most of Brendan’s family live very close to us (he is one of 7 children!), and we see them often. We go to church with his parents and his brother, and we get together with his other siblings at least once a month – usually for someone’s birthday. Our kids have lots of cousins who they play with almost every Sunday after mass. Brendan's parents have a great house with a lot of property that includes forest and a trail, even a little waterfall! It's such a fun spot to explore and we really enjoy spending time there for family gatherings.

Allison’s mom lives close by as well. “Nana” sees the kids almost every day, and she is a retired elementary school teacher who helps with homeschooling William --such a blessing! Allison's brother and his family come from Texas to visit several times a year, so we are very close with them as well and enjoy holidays and summers with them.

Our Thoughts on Open Adoption

Having adopted two children with two very different stories, we have experience with both open and closed adoption. Our daughter's birth family is very much a part of our life and we share photos, videos, and texts regularly. We have had many visits in person since her birth as well. It has been a huge blessing to our entire family to have her remain a part of our life. Our son's birth mother has chosen not to remain in contact, and we absolutely respect her decision and still honor her and pray for her often. Our children will always grow up knowing about their birth mothers whether the adoption is open, semi-open, or closed.

In Closing

We are thankful that you took time to look at our profile and learn a little about us! Our hope and prayer is that you find peace during this journey, and we want you to know that we are looking forward to meeting you if you feel like you felt a connection to our family. We are happy to answer any questions you might have for us as well. We look forward to speaking to you!
