Hello from Colorado! We are so grateful that you’d like to learn a little bit about us. Brian is a Colorado native and Amanda has lived here since she was 10 years old. We enjoy living somewhere that has all four seasons and so much natural beauty. We hope to share our love for the outdoors and nature with our future child.
Our Story
We have been married for 16 years. We are honored to follow God’s lead in calling us to become parents through adoption. We are beyond thrilled for this upcoming chapter in our story.
We thoroughly enjoy exploring the US! While we have traveled by all modes of transportation, road tripping is our absolute favorite. We have traveled coast to coast by car and have had some wonderful experiences. We’ve gone whale-watching in the Pacific Ocean, ziplined along the San Juan mountains, and driven the North Carolina coast from top to bottom exploring all the beaches along the way.
We enjoy adventures like hiking, walking our dog, going to hockey games, concerts, and comedy shows. We also enjoy the comforts of home whether it be watching football games, playing games, or sitting outside enjoying a fire.
Meet Brian
Amanda says: Brian is an extremely hard worker both at his job and at home. He has been a UPS driver for 19 years. He is a dedicated employee and has had his current delivery route for over 10 years. Most of his customers know him by name. They appreciate his sense of humor and that he goes the extra mile for them.
Brian is looking forward to teaching our future child about his interests, as well as fostering and exploring different hobbies that he or she shows a fondness for. He enjoys learning new things and can’t wait to learn with our child.

Meet Amanda
Brian says: Amanda is a great and efficient organizer, keeping our household running smoothly. She is an active listener that enjoys spending time with family and friends. She has a kind & caring heart and is excited to teach our future child about the importance of helping others and paying it forward.
Amanda is looking forward to having mother/child adventures–swinging at the park, enjoying a cup of hot chocolate while driving around looking at Christmas lights, or reading a good book together.

Our Home in Colorado
Our house is a two-story, three-bedroom home that we have recently remodeled. We have a big front yard and an even bigger, fenced-in backyard with lots of room for running around and playing. We plant flowers in our front yard planter and big pots during the springtime. We have fun raking the fall leaves and shoveling the winter snow from the driveway.

Our Family
Our family includes us and our gentle giant Bernese Mountain dog named Finnick. He has been our joy and loyal companion that we take for daily walks and spontaneous car rides to the mountains. We love having dogs in our life and we hope that our future child will also love animals as much as we do.
Both sets of our parents along, with Amanda’s sister & nieces, live near us in Northern Colorado. We enjoy playing games with them, having everyone over for barbecues, hosting Thanksgiving & Christmas, and celebrating birthdays together. Brian’s sister and brother-in-law live in California. Amanda also has a large extended family that lives in Ohio. We visit regularly and enjoy going to music bingo as a large group singing & dancing. It’s one of our favorite things to do when we are there.
We look forward to sharing our current family traditions and starting new ones with our future child.

More About Our Family
We Are Hoping To Adopt Because...
God has put the calling on our hearts to become parents through adoption. We want to welcome a little one (or two!) into our hearts, arms, and home to raise him or her with love and warmth. We believe that family, friends, and the memories that we have created with those near and dear to our hearts are the most valuable things in life. We want to become parents and create even more of those precious family memories with our future child.
Our Faith That We Hope to Share
Our faith is rooted in our core Christian values that were established for both of us at young ages. We believe in giving back, the power of prayer, and that God is in control of everything. We attend church weekly and enjoy participating in random church activities and fundraisers throughout the year. One of our favorite annual events to participate in is the "Backpack of My Own" fundraiser where we get to buy backpacks and fill them with school supplies for children of all ages in our community. As parents, we would ensure that our child grows up knowing the love of God and what it means to be a part of a connected and giving church community.
Things We Look Forward to Sharing with Our Child
We look forward to sharing family dinners at the table, playing outside in the leaves or snow, going on adventures (like drives and hikes in the mountains or road trips to visit extended family), and early morning walks as one big family with our dogs. We're excited to teach our child how to read, spell, and all of the learning that happens throughout the stages of growth and development. We hope to make many memories of playing board games and watching or playing sports together as a family. Our arms can't wait for snuggles, middle of the night feedings, rocking, and reading books together, and most of all showing our child how loved he or she already is and will always be.
Life In Colorado
Brian's love for the outdoors started at an early age. His family would go camping every summer in remote, out of the way places where they "roughed" it. It was during these trips that his love for camping and hiking began. To this day it is still a favorite past time of his which he has shared with Amanda, and it has become a favorite of hers as well.
We think Colorado is a great place to live. The state has a wide array of scenery from never ending plains to snowy mountain peaks, a (daily) variety in weather and lots of things to do indoors and outdoors. We are close to the conveniences of big city life where we enjoy going to concerts and comedy shows. We are also minutes away from the mountains which we enjoy escaping to when we're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We look forward to sharing the beauty of Colorado and all that it has to offer with our future son or daughter.
