Adoption has been a part of our relationship from the beginning. We welcomed our son in 2022 through open adoption. Parenting him has brought such joy to our lives! We know that God’s plan to continue to grow our family is through adoption and we look forward to sharing our lives with another child. We love spending time together as a family whether its playing at the park, visiting Brian at work, watching movies, playing games at home, or visiting our extended family. We look forward to learning more about you and your interests as well.
About Us
We have known each other for 16 years and been married for 8. During that time, we both served as missionaries and then built our lives together in agriculture working with cattle and horses. We welcomed our son into our family through adoption and have enjoyed watching him grow up into the sweet kid he is today.
As a couple, we enjoy watching funny shows together, working on projects around the house and garden, traveling locally as well as internationally, doing mission work, and raising our son. We desire to adopt another child to continue to grow our family, and we look forward to sharing our love for animals and our passion for helping others with our next child.
About Anna
Brian says: Anna is a kind, compassionate lady who cares deeply for those around her. Anna works hard to help other people and never backs away from a challenge. She enjoys volunteering and maintaining her friendships. She also has a heart for animals and has cared for kittens, calves, chickens, and horses. She loves to travel, cook, bake, crochet, and garden. She speaks Spanish fluently and uses this gift to help Spanish speakers in our community. Anna looks forward to sharing her passions for language, travel, food, and music with our future child.
About Brian
Anna says: Brian is a hard worker who enjoys helping others. He is a smart, funny, caring, and generous person who loves to laugh. Helping others is just a natural extension of himself. Brian is very genuine, honest, and open. He shares his faith, his struggles, and his victories freely and people are drawn to him. Brian loves to read, work with horses and cattle, and has a passion for rodeos. He is excited to read to our next child every night and teach them how to ride a horse.
Our Son and Family
Our son, Desmond, is 4 years old and a ball of energy. He loves to run, play, wrestle, jump, and do anything else athletic. He is funny and has the most amazing laugh. He loves to read and we visit our local library weekly. He is discovering Disney movies and enjoys Bluey and Paw Patrol. He loves animals (horses, cows, and dogs, but especially cats). He is passionate about helping with anything we are doing and will be a wonderful big brother!
Family is a very important part of our life. Most of our extended family lives within a 2-hour drive. Brian’s parents, siblings, and 9 nieces and nephews visit us often and we always share the holidays together (Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas). We celebrate milestones together, like the kids’ birthdays and enjoy meeting up just for fun. Anna’s parents live about an hour away and are very active in our lives as well. They love to come spend time with us and we travel together. Desmond also has sleepovers at Nana and Papi’s house and enjoys playing with all of his toys at their house. Anna’s brother and sister are also active in Desmond’s life, but due to living further away, mostly through video chats and phone calls.
Our Home in Nebraska
We live in central Nebraska in a town with all of the amenities of Chick-Fil-A, Starbucks, Hobby Lobby, Walmart, and more. Our home is a brick, ranch-style home with 4 bedrooms. There’s lots of space for extended family gatherings, which we host, and for our son and his cousins to play. The full, finished basement is a great place to run, as well as having lots of hide and seek spots. Our backyard is fenced-in allowing for lots of outdoor time. We have a beautiful playground/park in our neighborhood, just behind our house. We visit the public library and our local kid’s museum every week!
Our Promise
Our promise is to care for your child in an open and genuine way. We promise to teach him or her to be strong and courageous in their faith and share our love for learning. We will also teach them to be hardworking and kind. We look forward to traveling, watching rodeos, reading, and listening to music together. We are so excited to share our home and family with your child! We would love to take you along on this journey through photos, videos, and occasional visits if you are comfortable.

More About Our Family
Our Faith
We grew up in Christian families and became believers at a young age. We both were missionaries in our 20s, during which time we learned how much we are all alike no matter the culture or geography. We believe in investing in people by loving and caring for them as God does for us. We are involved in our local church and put God first in our decision making and family priorities. Our son knows and loves God and enjoys Sunday school and reading out of his children's Bible. Our faith is a very important part of our family.
Our Traditions
Anna loves the holidays and especially Christmas! It is her favorite time of year, though fall, pumpkin spice, and cozy sweater weather rank up there too. Our Christmas traditions include decorating right after Thanksgiving, attending Christmas Eve services, watching White Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street, and It’s a Wonderful Life, and spending time with both of our families. We love baking Christmas cookies and giving them to neighbors and coworkers. Recently, we have also added a new tradition of going to see the zoo lights at the Children’s Zoo with aunts, uncles, and cousins. Anna also crochets new matching winter hats for everyone as well.
We are excited to share our old traditions and make new ones as a family of 4!
Our Weekends
On the weekends, we like to maximize our family time. Whether it's having a snowball fight or working on staining and building a shelf together, we want to spend time doing whatever we are doing as a family. Saturday mornings are usually slower and include playing games or running around with our son. Afternoons may include errands or going out together to the park. In the evenings, Anna usually attends prayer service at church and Brian and Desmond may watch a movie together. On Sunday mornings, we attend church as a family and spend the afternoon relaxing or catching up with friends and family. We enjoy our weekend family time and are excited to include our future child in our activities.
Our Pets
Dogs: Maggie, Sophia, & Tipton
Cats: Tyrion & Dice
Horses: Tall Man, Einhorn, Heathcliff, Motor & a pony coming soon!
