Hello from Missouri! In our everyday life, we find joy and love by spending time with each other and our two dogs. We are excited to become first-time parents through adoption. We have so much love to give and can’t wait to welcome a child into our home to share the big milestones, the little everyday moments, lots of laughter, and plenty of hugs. More than anything, we hope to give our child a life where they always feel safe, supported, celebrated, and deeply loved.

We know this journey comes with many emotions, so we continue to pray for you as you navigate each step and the decisions you feel led to make. About Us
We have been together for four years and are best friends. We come from different upbringings–Brian grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and Katie came from a small rural farm town in Missouri. We are living proof that opposites attract! Our home is built on the foundation of the love we share for Jesus, each other, and our families. After struggling with unexplained infertility, we have prayed and feel led to adopt. We are excited to be on this adoption journey!

About Brian
Katie says: Brian has the kind of personality that makes people feel comfortable right away. He’s hardworking, loyal, confident, and has the biggest heart. He loves to laugh, be silly, and make the people around him smile, but what I love most is how deeply he cares for others. He’s always the first to step in when someone needs help and would do anything for the people he loves. He’s also a total kid at heart, and I already know that will make him such a fun dad. I picture him playing on the floor, coaching from the sidelines, teaching our child about sports and lake life, and telling plenty of dad jokes along the way. Brian works as a Mortgage Loan Officer and loves helping people through such an exciting time in their lives. More than anything, Brian can’t wait to learn who our child is, encourage the things they love, and be their biggest cheerleader. I know he’ll be the kind of dad who makes our child feel safe, supported, and deeply loved—and I can’t wait to watch him become a father.

About Katie
Brian says: Katie is one of the most loving and trustworthy people I know. She has a heart for helping others, and people are naturally drawn to her kindness and compassion. She works hard for the things she believes in and loves the people in her life with everything she has. She has so many of the qualities I hope our child will have one day. Katie is a Special Education teacher, and her students mean the world to her. I love hearing her talk about them and seeing how much of herself she pours into helping them learn, grow, and feel loved. Watching the way she cares for her students has given me a glimpse of the incredible mom I know she will be. She can’t wait to share the things she loves with our child—from life on the farm with cows, horses, and chickens to reading, learning, and discovering new things together. More than anything, I know Katie will be a loving, protective, and devoted mom. She will be there for every milestone, every hard day, and every little moment in-between.

Our Family
Brian’s parents live seven minutes away and are excited to have a grandchild that is close to them and to babysit for the occasional date night. We visit Brian’s family once a week during the summer where we enjoy a sunset cruise on the lake, dinner, or relaxing on the dock catching up on life’s events. Brian has one sister and brother-in-law who live in Indiana with our three nieces–they are excited to have a new cousin.
Katie’s family lives an hour and a half away and they are excited to welcome their first grandchild. We visit Katie’s family once or twice a month, depending on schedules. While we are there, we enjoy spending time having conversations as well as helping on the farm with any tasks that need accomplished. Katie has two younger brothers, neither have significant others or children yet.
Both of our families are excited to welcome our child into the family to share traditions with them!
Our Home in Missouri
Our home is a 3-bedroom home with plenty of room for our family to grow. We live in an area where there are always activities and events for families taking place. There are parks, courts, and outdoor and indoor swimming pools that we have access too, as well as a lake that has more shoreline than the coast of California. Brian takes pride in our home’s landscape, as he took it from dirt to the beautiful yard we have now. In our home we have two saltwater fish tanks that are tranquil and relaxing.

We promise to love your child with our whole hearts and to give them a home filled with laughter, comfort, encouragement, and unconditional love. We promise to celebrate who they are, support their dreams, and be beside them through every high and low. We will always be their biggest fans.
We promise they will always know their story and how deeply they have been loved from the very beginning. We will speak of you with love, respect, and gratitude and make sure they always know the incredible place you hold in their story. We welcome an open adoption where we would remain in contact throughout our child’s life, if you desire.

Fun Facts About Us
-Brian's parents live on the lake that we utilize often with the boats and wave runners.

Our Faith
Our faith is what drives us and keeps us whole. We believe that God has a plan for every individual in this life, although some obstacles are harder than others. Everything is a learning experience and a chance to grow. We have been fortunate enough to keep our faith strong and continue to grow as we overcame some of the obstacles that we have faced. Our faith continues to grow every day, and each day we understand just how blessed we are to be able to go through this process.
Our Dogs
We have two dogs who keep us entertained at home. Ruby is a German Shepherd/Husky mix and Kody is a Siberian Husky. They enjoy playing in our fenced-in backyard, their morning walks, and swimming in the lake. Kody enjoys howling at us for fun and Ruby is always by our sides for a quick snack. With our three nieces, Kody and Ruby love to give them kisses and especially love when it is dinner time where they can try to con table scraps their way.
Typical Weekend for Us
On a typical weekend from spring to fall, we go to the farmers market every Saturday morning. After the farmers market, we stop at the local arcade and play a few arcade games like skeet ball and basketball shooting. After the arcade we go home to spend time and play with our dogs. Brian loves to cook, so he then cooks us dinner. On Sunday we go to church for the early service. After church, we do our weekly grocery shopping. At some point during the weekend, if it is not too busy, we often go with Brian's parents on a boat ride. Also, once or twice a month we make the trip down to the farm on Sunday to visit Katie's parents and grandparents.
