Hi! We appreciate this chance to be considered as adoptive parents for your child. As partners and best friends for many years, we’re a very close couple and supportive of one another. We have three rescue dogs, a love for cooking, gardening, and travel, and a dream to become parents. Our faith is at the core of our relationship and we’re so hopeful about growing our family through adoption. It would be a blessing to learn more about you and your child! We’d love to hear from you.

Our Life Together

We became friends in high school and started dating during our first year of college while were living in different states. We’ve been happily married for 12 years and have always wanted to raise a big family. Adoption was something we talked about when we were engaged and hoped it would be a part of our family’s story somehow. For years we’ve been unable to have a child biologically, though we still feel called to be parents. As we’ve prayed about having children, God has put people in our lives who were touched by adoption, such as friends who were adopted or who have adopted children, or who know someone who has experience with adoption. It’s confirmed for us that this is the path meant for us and we’re excited about adopting our first child!

As a couple we enjoy:
• Traveling to new countries, especially places where we can explore culture and nature in the same trip
• Hiking
• Museums
• Cooking foods from places we’ve visited around the world
• Baking and grilling
• Home projects
• Growing our garden and flower beds
• Watching Planet Earth and other documentaries so we can learn and discuss our opinions afterward
• Watching our favorite British soccer team on the weekends

Meet Jessica

Bryan says: Jessica’s family and faith are the most important things to her. Her actions are driven by taking care of those she loves and growing in her faith. She is loyal, protective, smart, compassionate, hardworking, and always up for learning or trying new things. Jessica is the most caring person I know! She has a natural gift to talk to people and relate to them. She was meant to be a mother and I can picture her teaching our future child how to speak in Polish (her parents are from Poland!), goofing around, watching all the Disney movies, and showing him or her how to cook and bake amazing dishes (Jessica’s creative outlet is in the kitchen!).

Jessica’s interests:
• Vegetable gardening
• Taking our dogs for walks
• Learning new languages (she can speak Polish, Spanish, and is learning Italian)

Meet Bryan

Jessica says: Bryan is very kind, thoughtful, supportive, loving, and calm. His faith is important to him and the center of how he lives his life. My husband is so smart and hardworking; I’m always amazed at the different things he knows and teaches me! Bryan is also handy with his building and fix-it skills. He is always there for me and I know he will be a great father. I’m sure he will teach our child what it means to live out our faith, to get dirty and work hard, to cook our favorite family meals, and enjoy walks to the park or Saturday soccer games. Bryan will find so much joy raising a child! He was meant to be a dad.

Bryan’s interests:
• Building or fixing things around the house (he loves to be outside)
• Yard work (he even likes pulling weeds and shoveling snow!)
• Lawn care and keeping the grass in great shape

Our Home in Wisconsin

Our house is a 100 year old home that’s been renovated so that it still has it’s vintage character, but is all nice and updated. We have 4 bedrooms, a large property with fenced-in backyard and a vegetable garden in our side yard. Bryan keeps the front yard green and perfect for playing games and running around. We live on a quiet street with a lot of young families. We look forward to converting one of our spare rooms into a nursery soon.

We really like how our neighborhood is safe and there are always children playing together outside. Within walking distance, we can get to our church, a park and playground, the soccer fields, and a community swimming pool. We can also walk to the little downtown part of our city where there are cute coffee shops and restaurants. It’s a great little town and close to the main city where we enjoy the art museum, symphony, ballet, and professional sports games. The zoo is also within 10 minutes of home, so it will be fun to have lots of trips to see the animals with our son or daughter one day.

Our Families

We live in a different state than our extended families so we’re thankful for regular calls or video chats and trips to visit each other. Our families actually live down the street from each other! Both sets of our parents have been married a long time and we are thankful for their support in our lives. Bryan has a brother and sister; Jessica has one sister. We also have a lot of cousins who we see at least once a year. Our families are good at staying in touch and being there for each other. Jessica’s parents are from Poland and immigrated here before she was born, so her side has a strong Polish heritage. She looks forward to teaching our child to speak Polish! Her whole family hopes to visit Poland together soon and see where her parents grew up. All of our loved ones are excited about our plans to adopt! Adoption is already a part of our extended family, so we know our child will be embraced and welcomed with so much love.

Thoughts from Our Hearts...

We promise to love your child and help him or her grow up knowing they are safe, treasured, and loved. We will always be there for them, teaching them, learning from them, and growing together. We will do our best to help your child know their background and culture too. Being part of a family is like being part of a team. We both grew up in homes where we all took care of things together and helped one another. We will help your child embrace their education and become responsible, accountable, honest, and considerate. Faith, family, caring about others, and doing your best are also important things we will model as parents.

Thank you for learning about us and thinking about the life we’d love to share with your child as his or her adoptive parents. We hope to share an open adoption, if you’re comfortable staying in touch in some way. The courage, strength, and love that goes in your decision will always be honored when we talk about how we all came together through adoption. We will be honest with your child about their adoption from the start. We’d love to learn more about you and what you picture for ongoing contact. To talk or video chat with us just call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Fun Facts

Bryan: I’ve gotten really into baking all types of bread! I recently started to expand my skills with making tortillas, na’an and other flat breads. Jessica’s father is also into breadmaking, so it’s been fun to share our recipes and test results with each other.

Jessica: I LOVE to Salsa Dance and used to go regularly during college. Now I love to find songs to dance to at home as a way to relieve stress or unwind. Dancing brings me so much joy!

What We Value

• Our marriage and relationship with each other
• God and living out our Catholic faith
• Our families and staying connected with loved ones
• Sponsoring children in need through a Catholic organization that helps those families get basic things and help with school

Our Pets

We have 3 medium-size dogs who we rescued as puppies. Kemah is a Coonhound-mix who is a lazy girl who loves to sleep or lay in the sunshine. Gaia is an Entlebucher-mix and she loves cuddles. Nero is a Schnauzer-mix who still acts like a puppy; he likes to play fetch when he feels like it and also loves to cuddle. All of our dogs are great with people and love hanging out with us, especially for walks.

Favorite Family Traditions

• Summer grilling with both of our families and then playing cornhole after we eat
• Wednesday date nights at our favorite pizza place
• Trips to visit Bryan’s grandparents’ farm in Louisiana every year
• Getting back to our hometown at least twice a year, to see family and friends where we grew up
• LSU football with Bryan’s family (anytime there’s a game they put their fan shirts and jerseys on, cheer for the Tigers, and snack on various Creole or Louisiana food)
• Big, traditional Polish Christmas Eve dinner with Jessica’s family, including many courses of food. After dinner everyone shares wishes for specific things for each person in the coming year.
