Hi there! We are Calvin and Hannah (a family of 5) and we are so excited to grow our family through adoption! Hannah is a stay-at-home mom to our 3 children, and Calvin is a police officer with hours that allow him to spend more quality time with our family. We enjoy exploring creeks, playing outside together and other creative activities.
Our desire to grow our family through adoption has been on our hearts since we met, and is largely due to Calvin’s career and our passion to help children. We both feel God has called us to adoption at this particular time after experiencing two pregnancy losses.

About Us
We met in 2016 through a dating app and quickly realized we had mutual friends and much in common. We hit it off immediately.
When we purchased our home, we enjoyed doing lots of DIY projects and renovating it together to make it ready for our dream of a large family and our love of hosting.
We enjoy trips to the beach, spending time outside and trivia. We spend as much time together as we can, whether its running errands together, working on a house project or our family dinner times around the table.
Much of our time is spent with our 3 children as we value family time as a high priority. Hannah is a stay-at-home mom spending the days caring for and playing with our 3 children, and she eagerly longs for the joy of baby snuggles again! We eat dinner together as a family each night and often prepare it together, allowing the kids to learn age-appropriate skills.
About Hannah
Calvin Says: Hannah is the best wife, friend and mother that I could ask for. She has a meek, selfless, and thoughtful personality that looks to serve others. People tend to congregate at our home because Hannah creates a warm, welcoming environment hosting various activities and events throughout the year.
Hannah is a homebody and generally loves to spend all of her quality time with me and the kids. She loves all things COFFEE, reading, crafting (by herself or with the kids), puzzles, gardening, impromptu kitchen/living room family dance parties, along with all of her nostalgic Christmas traditions.
Hannah truly has a heart for spending time and equipping children with knowledge that will benefit them throughout their lives. She is involved with the nursery and other children’s ministries at our church as well. Hannah is so excited to nurture, snuggle, and teach another little one!
About Calvin
Hannah says: Calvin is extremely patient; it’s a large part of what makes him so great at his job and even more so, it makes him a fantastic father. He is very motivated and hardworking. If there is anything that needs to be fixed in the house and he doesn’t know how to do it, he patiently learns and completes the task. One of his best qualities is his selflessness; he often asks, ‘how can I help?’, genuinely wanting to lift a burden from me or others.
Calvin enjoys creating! Whether it’s a project for the kids such as a lemonade stand or a landscaping trailer for their power wheels, or woodwork items for our Etsy shop. He has a wonderful sense of humor that’s shown through dancing around the kitchen, carting kids around on his back, and talking/singing in silly voices to make us laugh. He prioritizes his family in a way that we all feel loved and cared for.
Some of Calvin’s outdoor hobbies include hunting and fishing. These hobbies allow him to give the kids opportunities to learn new skills while spending quality time together.
Our Family
We are blessed to have 3 children…Calvin, Willow and Adeline. Each are loving children who enjoy playing together, exploring outside and building forts. They each have their own unique personalities. Calvin enjoys creating, from drawing to building with Legos or Magnatiles. Willow loves crafting and puzzles. Adeline enjoys playing with baby dolls, stuffed animals and all things tiny.
They all are extremely excited to welcome another sibling into our family. They look forward to helping and loving another sibling as they grow up together and become the best of friends.
We also are surrounded by extended family in the area that are involved in our lives. Both sets of parents live close by, and we enjoy getting together with our extended family. Our children especially love spending time with their cousins!
Our Home in Pennsylvania
We live in a quiet suburban neighborhood with two dogs, a couple of ducks and a group of chickens. Our backyard has plenty of space to play and different activities/play equipment to be used. We have a garden that we work in as a family to grow and harvest produce during the summer months. We have friendly neighbors that often interact with us.
We have a four-bedroom, split-level house with plenty of room for a growing family. We spend a majority of our time on the second level of our home, which is where our kitchen, dining and family room are. This is a space to play, learn and eat together. We also have a playroom where the kids enjoy imaginative play together with their kitchen set, Magnatiles, and many other toys, games and books. One of our favorites spaces is our sunroom where we have a corner table that we can enjoy special meals in the warmer months. It is also a fun extra place to play or craft.

More About Our Family
Why We are Adopting
From before we were married, we discussed the hope of adopting one day. Once married, we were blessed to have 3 biological children. When we got pregnant a 4th time, we lost our baby in the second trimester. The Lord healed our hearts and allowed us to get pregnant a 5th time where we lost our baby at 20 weeks. Within days of this loss, we immediately felt God urging us to seriously pursue adoption. We are excited at the opportunity God is giving us to grow our family in this way and we are confident He has a special child for us.
Our Faith
Our faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior is extremely important to us and woven into our family life. We are members of a local non-denominational church where our children enjoy attending Sunday School and a weekly Kidzone program with crafts, songs and a Bible lesson. We lead a College and Career ministry that we host monthly at our home for a fellowship dinner and Bible study. Our children love to be part of this and those that come enjoy interacting with them. As a family we read devotions before bed, pray often and memorize Bible verses to hide in our hearts. We also enjoy having Christian music and hymns on throughout the day in our home as a nice background and an occasion to sporadically sing or dance at any time!
Our Pets
-Bandit is our German Shepherd who has grown up with each of our children. He is Hannah's faithful companion and thoroughly enjoys each of the kids. He is gentle and gracious, otherwise known as Bandit Mountain as each of them has crawled up and over him as they learned to get around.
-Honey is our Retriever mix. She has been a fun burst of energy that loves to play and run with the kids. She will even get on the trampoline with them! She has a silly and loving personality.
-Ruth and Remy are our farm ducks that manage our coop full of other ducks and chickens that bless our family with lots of fresh eggs and silly laughs.
Family Adventures
-We both grew up in families that vacationed at the same beach each summer that is a relatively short distance away. It became a deep love for each of us individually and now together as our own family! It is a beautiful, family-friendly vacation spot with a family-oriented boardwalk that has lots to do and eat. We enjoy at least one week there each summer as a family, including Hannah's parents. We love to spend the mornings taking bike rides or walks. The afternoons we spend on the beach, fishing or exploring the inlet and evenings are spent on the boardwalk enjoying rides, mini golf or snacks.
-Camping, whether a weekend away or a backyard campout, is a favorite summer activity. We enjoy finding sticks, rocks and critters in the woods, taking a hike and of course making s'mores on the fire.
-We also love spending time out in Amish Farm Country as a family. We enjoy stopping by various petting farms, museums and local shops.
-There is a creek nearby our home that we enjoy taking frequent trips to that we love to explore all seasons, but our favorite is warm seasons when we can splash around and explore the creek with a picnic.
