Hello! We are so grateful to be considered as adoptive parents for your child. Above all else, we want you to know that we are already praying for you and your child. We are a loving Christian couple from a small town in Georgia. Our greatest hope is to share our values as first-time parents and pass down our faith and love for God and family.

We feel led to adoption as a way of growing our family and we are excited! We’re both teachers, though Abby will be a stay-at-home mom after we adopt. Our lives are set up to offer plenty of time to devote to raising a child and putting family first. It would be an honor to get to know you and the life you want for you child.

About Us

We met at our home church many years ago. For a time, our paths went separate ways; Chad became a middle school art teacher and Abby was led to the mission field in West Africa. Finally, when we least expected it, God brought us together!

Our marriage is built on love, laughter, and loyalty. Our faith is our priority and a daily part of our lives. Whether it is a quiet night at home or going out for fun, we just love spending time together. We are truly best friends. We both work as teachers and enjoy investing in the lives of our students.

Together we enjoy:

  • Walks around our town
  • Serving at our church
  • Family gatherings
  • Working out
  • Cooking a big Saturday morning brunch
  • Finding fun, new restaurants

Meet Chad

Abby says: Chad loves with his whole heart (and he gives the best hugs!). He puts others first, is caring, and always gives his best. He listens in a way that makes people feel important. Chad’s laugh is infectious and his quick wit will have you laughing in no time. I have no doubt that Chad will be an incredible daddy and he’s already thinking of ways he can grow in his interests and talents so that he can teach our child.

Chad’s creativity comes out in many areas of his life. Most weekends he can be found working on watercolors, sketches, prints, and so much more. During the week, he shares this passion as a middle school art teacher. His students love him and I know he makes an impact on our community.

Meet Abby

Chad says: Abby caught my eye in a yellow dress one Sunday morning on the church steps. She still catches my eye as the strongest, most dedicated, loving, and thoughtful person I know. Before we were married, I was amazed when she’d share with our church about how God was using her as a missionary in West Africa. Now she pours into the lives of her students as a first-grade teacher, sharing her passion for reading and helping them make a strong start to their educational future.

At home, Abby loves to cook tasty healthy meals all the while singing and dancing (to the delight of our cats too!). She is always up for an evening walk, a good movie, and time with family and friends. She cherishes the time she spends with our friends’ children and the teen girls she mentors. She will be patient and fun-loving with our child. I have no doubt that Abby will be a wonderful mama.

Our Family

We are surrounded by our wonderful families. We are close-knit and enjoy spending time together. We love to gather around the table for food, conversation, and laughs. They are so excited about bringing a little one into our family. They have much love and support to give. Abby’s parents live close by and are always stopping by the house. She has one brother who is married and they have our two precious nephews. Chad is an only child and his parents live in the beautiful mountains of Tennessee. We FaceTime them often and visit as much as we can. Everyone is excited to meet the child we adopt!

Our Home and Community in Georgia

We live in a small southern town. It’s the kind of place full of smiles, waves, and conversation. The town square, elementary school, and park are all a short walk from our home. Downtown there are walking paths and a boardwalk through the trees. We enjoy some of the community gatherings on Friday nights at the town square. Every evening we eat at the table and talk about our day. After dinner we take walks on the boardwalk. We live in a three-bedroom house with plenty of room for a growing family. We’ve already begun a library of children’s books for bedtime stories and our large yard allows for loads of outdoor fun.

We love small-town living and being just a short drive from the big city too (and our favorite ice cream shop!). This area offers great sports programs through schools and recreation departments and encourages children to grow in the fine arts, such as art shows, theatrical plays, or school chorus and bands. We will seek out opportunities and support your child in his or her pursuits.

Our Promise

Above all, we promise to raise your child in the love and knowledge of the Lord. We commit to creating a home full of love, stability, laughter, and encouragement. We are ready to share all of our affection as parents!

We are already praying for you and your child. Your child will receive unconditional love and support from our families and us. We will place value on teaching them good morals, kindness, and the importance of education. We will provide him/her with opportunities to chase after their dreams.

We promise to speak lovingly of you and how we came together this way. We promise to share their adoption story and make sure they know how loved they are. We are open to keeping in touch through letters, photos, emails, and visits as you are comfortable.

We hope to talk with you and learn more about you. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Fun Facts About Us!

Abby lived and served as a missionary in West Africa for six years.

Chad is an acclaimed artist who has shown works throughout the Southeast.

We volunteer as mentors for children and teens in our church.

Most weekends, you can find us at our local ice cream shop trying new flavors!

Our Pets

We have two cats, Dogoni and Violet. They are playful and very loving. You can usually find them snuggled up with us on the couch watching our favorite shows. They bring so much light and love to our household.

Our Faith

Our faith is our priority. Everything we do is in pursuit of our commitment to our relationship with Jesus Christ. We hope to bring Him glory in all situations. We are far from perfect, but we have been offered forgiveness through Jesus. We try to live our lives according to His Word. We attend church weekly and serve in different roles; Chad is a deacon and serves in the children's ministry and Abby serves in the nursery and youth ministry. As parents we will raise our child to understand God's love and we will model a personal relationship with Him.

Why Open Adoption?

We both have wanted to start a family, but infertility is a part of our story. After going through tests and trying treatments, God laid adoption on our hearts. Although, we were always open to adoption, we now believe that is exactly how we were meant to build our family. We are humbled to be on this journey. It would be a huge honor and a dream to love, nurture, and raise a child.

Open adoption is a part of our hearts. We believe in the importance of your child knowing that he/she is greatly loved by you. With an ongoing connection we will share updates with you, at your comfort level, and encourage your child to know what you mean to our family. We would love for you to have a relationship with your child and watch him/her grow through the years, if you'd like. We believe that open adoption can be like extended family and be a help as your child comes to understand how we all came together through adoption.

In addition, we believe our faith has taught us a lot about the love that can grow from adoption and we are praying to have the honor to share this tremendous love with a child through adoption. Your child will be wanted, chosen, and fully accepted in our family, and you will always be a special part of our lives.

In Closing

We appreciate you taking the time to get to know us! We would be humbled by the privilege to come alongside you on this journey. Our desire is to honor you and your hopes for your child. If you would like, we are open to sharing in a relationship with you. We are committed to pictures, updates, and even visits as your child grows. We will always respect you and your decisions. We will continue to pray for God's peace for you and your child. Thank you again for considering us.

Love,
Chad and Abby
