Howdy from Texas! We’re Chris and Ashley, and we’re overjoyed to be growing our family through adoption. Chris works as a computer engineer, and Ashley is a registered nurse with a big heart for helping others. We love spending our free time playing pickleball, watching Harry Potter marathons, and gathering with loved ones for dinners or game nights. We’d love to get to know you and share our love and joy with you and your child.

Our Story

We met in high school through a mutual childhood friend and started dating during our sophomore year. After college, we married in our hometown—where we still live today. We’ve now been together for 15 wonderful years and married for 7.

Having children has always been a dream of ours, though we’ve faced challenges with infertility. Through it all, our journey has strengthened our faith and deepened our love for one another. When we decided to stop fertility treatments, we felt God’s gentle call to adoption. This path has brought us so much peace and joy, and we’re thrilled to open our hearts and home to a child.

We love spending time together and staying active—playing pickleball and running, watching football and baseball, and cheering for Texas sports teams. We also enjoy puzzles (especially Thomas Kinkade!), playing games, and tackling escape rooms with family and friends. Hosting dinner and game nights, exploring the outdoors through hiking and biking, and working on home projects are some of our favorite ways to spend time together. Lately, our biggest joy has been preparing and decorating the nursery as we look forward to welcoming a little one!

I’m truly blessed to call her my wife.

  • Our Family

We are very close with our families and are fortunate enough to live near all of them.

Chris is the youngest of three boys and has wonderful parents. We enjoy getting together with his brothers, their wives, and his parents to play cards or pool, listen to music, and do escape rooms. The family is looking forward to their first grandkid/niece or nephew!

Ashley is the youngest of three, with a sister, brother, sister-in-law, four nieces, and an amazing mom. Her family lives within 20 minutes of us, and we love gathering for holidays, going out to dinner, playing board games or Mafia, and supporting our nieces in their activities. They’ve all been very supportive of our adoption journey and are excited to welcome another child into this family of mostly girls!

    Our Home in Texas

We live in a suburban neighborhood outside Houston, Texas with our two cats—Toby and Zoey. Our home has four bedrooms, an open living area, a game room decorated with Harry Potter posters, a dedicated office, a guest/workout room, and a nursery in progress. Our fenced-in backyard with a covered patio is perfect for play and entertaining. We’ve decorated our modern farmhouse-style home with neutrals and pops of blue, our favorite color.

The family-friendly neighborhood offers amenities like a pool, pickleball court, parks, playgrounds, walking trails, and an amenity center. It’s a safe, green area known for its lush trees, with excellent schools, local businesses, and easy access to Houston and Galveston Beach—making it an ideal place to raise a family.

    Our Promise

We promise to give your child the best of ourselves, sharing the love and blessings God has given us. We will love them unconditionally, honor their story, and be open and honest about their adoption journey. We’ll encourage, nurture, and support them through all stages of life while providing a solid foundation and an education fund for their future. Above all, we’ll raise them in a Christ-centered home where they’ll feel loved and valued.

We also promise to honor you as our child’s birth parents and are open to any form of communication you’re comfortable with, including photos, letters, or occasional visits. Thank you for learning more about us—we look forward to hearing from you!

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

    More About Our Family

    Our Faith

Chris was raised Catholic, while Ashley became Catholic in high school. Our faith is central to our marriage and family life, and we plan to share that with any/all of our future children.

    Our Cats

After graduating from college, Ashley moved away to begin her nursing career. Living alone, she wanted a companion who would be happy to keep her company during her 12-hour shifts. On weekends, when Chris visited, we would stop by local pet adoption events — and that’s how we found our two wonderful cats!

Toby was our first, a short-haired tabby who loves to play and explore every corner of the house. Two years later, we adopted Zoey, a fluffy tabby who adores cuddles and has proudly claimed the title of “queen of the house.”

    Our Traditions

Our favorite traditions involve decorating for the different seasons and holidays. Every year, we eagerly anticipate the first day of fall so that we can decorate the house. For Halloween, we typically play movies such as Hocus Pocus and Hubie Halloween while passing out candy to the neighborhood kids. The day after Thanksgiving, we play the Santa Claus movies and decorate the entire house for Christmas. We also enjoy picking out a snow globe each year to add to our collection.

5 Things We Love on a Weekend

    1. Playing pickleball
    2. Cleaning the house and doing yardwork
    3. Spending time with friends or family
    4. Sleeping in on Saturdays
    5. Church on Sundays

    In Closing

Thank you for taking the time to learn about our lives and our home here in Texas. We would be honored to share our hearts, our faith, and our blessings with you and your child. We promise to provide a home filled with unconditional love, honesty, and joy. We’re praying for peace and clarity in your journey and hope we have the opportunity to get to know you and stay connected, if that’s your wish.

    Sincerely,
    Chris and Ashley
