A warm welcome to you from Oregon! We are a fun-loving creative couple who is family oriented. We have been married for 17 years and are so excited to finally become first-time parents through adoption!
About Us
We enjoy going to church and praying together, traveling to new places, and enjoying all of the beauty and adventuring there is to do in Oregon; paddle-boarding and boating on lakes and hiking trails nearby, driving to the Oregon Coast, going to local concerts, sitting around a campfire, playing games with close friends and family, and skiing in the winter are just a few of the things we love to do.
Our faith is very important to us, and we have always felt that adoption has been placed on our hearts. What brought us to adoption is our strong desire to become parents and our love for children. We’ve both always wanted children, but since trying to start our family we’ve experienced unexplained infertility. We look forward to growing our family through adoption!
About Erin
Chris says: “Erin is a strong, beautiful, loving woman with a deeply caring, compassionate, empathic, and encouraging nature. She is an amazing musician/vocalist and loves to use her gifts to help others grow closer to Jesus! She plays music with the worship band at church and in a local gigging band. She enjoys taking care of our home and is a fantastic cook. She strives for excellence, is always learning, and is one of the very hardest workers I have ever known. She groans at my jokes…but she probably laughs just as much, which is great because it’s super contagious!”
A little of what Erin enjoys:
Erin is excited to spend time with our future child as a mostly full-time stay-at-home mom and is looking forward to sharing her love of music and wisdom with our child! Reading to them, teaching them God’s Word, and showing them God’s everlasting love are also things she’s looking forward to.
About Chris
Erin says: “Chris is a deep-thinker, nostalgic, one of the most caring and loving people I know, and can make me do the ‘belly laugh’! Other people love being around him because he is very relational, wise, and shines Jesus’ light to those around him. Chris helps me pause, take in the scenery, and appreciate it. Being gifted in helping others makes him a hard worker, and when he was younger he became an Eagle Scout. He does every job with artistic integrity and through the lens of God’s love. Chris is a handy-man and a fantastic cook! It has been an adventure remodeling our craftsman-style home together.”
A little of what Chris enjoys:
Chris looks forward to sharing his love of God’s Word and Jesus’ tenderheartedness with our child, and playing with LEGO and model trains! He is learning Spanish and would like to teach them Spanish. He wants to teach them all he knows, and hopes to build them up with good character and being a good citizen.
Our Extended Family
We both have fairly large extended families, and both of our parents and stepparents are an active part of our lives. A lot of our family members live in Oregon, within a half a days’ drive, so we try to get together with them at least a few times a year! We occasionally keep in touch with our few relatives that live further away. Erin’s dad is Italian, so family reunions are a ton of fun with games, Italian cooking, and lots of laughter! We have a handful of very close friends that live in our town that we consider family. All of our extended family and friends are so excited to hear that we have plans to adopt, and they have been very supportive of our decision.
Some of the family traditions we’re excited to share with our future child are:
Our Home in Oregon
We live in a smaller, rural neighborhood in Eastern Oregon. We’re currently in a 3-bedroom craftsmen-style home that we remodeled together, with a lovely porch and porch swing. We chose this specific place because of safety, being in a small-town community. We live blocks away from a major hospital, schools, the post office, and downtown.
We have plenty of room for a nursery and for a little one to play in the living area of our home and explore in the small, fenced backyard. We’re excited about decorating our nursery with earthy tones and tasteful simplicity. A couple of our favorite things about our home are its spacious and open concept feel in the living and kitchen areas, its creativity, and that it’s cozy and inviting.
Around our community there’s lots to admire:
Our Promise
We promise to love and cherish your child with all our hearts. We promise to bring them up in a Christ-centered home that shows them how valued and loved they are by us and by God. We promise to support them in the discovery and pursuit of their passions, and give them a well-rounded education that will encourage their curiosity and exploration and support their schooling after high school, if they choose. They will always have a huge support system surrounding them, including us, our close friends, our church community, and our extended family. We are looking forward to all of the love, joy, laughter, and traveling that we’ll be able to have with our future child. We also promise to honor you! Your child will know their adoption story, and we will ensure that you are always talked highly of. We are excited to share photos, letters, and scheduled visits with you, and open to the amount and form of communication you would like to have. We’d love to get to know you and hear all about your hopes and dreams for your child!
We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family
Plans for our child’s education
Erin is very excited to be a mostly stay-at-home mom while Chris works, offering a well-rounded education for our child.
Erin staying at home will allow:
~ Time to spend after school helping with homework
~ Incorporating our faith, music education, and other play time
~ Spending more time together
~ Having the flexibility to travel as a family during Chris's time off from work
How We Met
We met at a college bible study. It was the first snowy day Erin had experienced in Eastern Oregon, having just recently moved. She saw Chris standing by the warm fire place cracking jokes with his friends. Erin loves laughing so she joined in on the conversion. After Chris and Erin first locked eyes, they saw each other coincidentally everyday. Erin's roommate was Chris's best friend's wife's sister. The sister started inviting Erin to play board games with all of them and soon afterwards Chris and Erin realized they were meant for each other and after dating for about nine months got engaged for seven months and married!
Our Faith
We're an Evangelical Christian couple. We both grew up going to church regularly, and over the years we've each grown in our faith and learned what it means to believe in God, trust in Him and His Word, and know His Son Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We also look forward to raising our future child in the faith as they grow so that they can have a firm foundation and know how much they are treasured and loved by God.
When baby arrives, we are really looking forward to…
-Taking time off to bond with them and get to know them
-Teaching them all about the world and discovering their likes & dislikes
-Sharing all of our favorite foods with them, like a huge batch of our families’ garden-fresh Pico de Gallo, pie, and chocolate chip cookies!
-Sharing music and dancing with them
-Traveling with them
-Introducing them to their cousins
-Sharing Christmas and Easter traditions

We can't wait to get to know you and hear about your story! We’d like to build a relationship with you where we can possibly share letters/emails/photos and occasional visits as your child grows up, whatever level of contact you're comfortable with moving forward. We are praying that the Lord blesses you and gives you peace and wisdom in the rest of this journey.
Warmly, Chris and Erin
