We enjoy having fun in everything we do. We love being with friends, watching sports, hiking outside, building with Legos, or just going for ice cream. We look forward to growing our family through adoption and becoming parents, doing the things we enjoy with our child. We also look forward to getting to know you.
About Us
We have been married for over 4 years (known each other for 7 years). We enjoy traveling to places we have never been together, hiking through National Parks, playing games, and seeing friends and family. We enjoy going to sporting events when we can and cheering on our state’s teams. We are active in our church being members of the men’s and women’s ministries. Also, Chris plays the drums and Jen sings in the worship band.
We are choosing to adopt because we desire to become parents and provide a loving home for a child, and we believe this is the direction we have been led to build our family. We tried to have biological children, but suffered a miscarriage about two years ago. After some testing we realized we were unable to have children, which laid heavy on our hearts. We still wanted to expand our family, which led us to adoption. We are excited to have this chance to adopt a child!
About Chris
According to Jen: Chris always likes to have fun in whatever he is doing. He enjoys playing with our dog (Hope) daily. He particularly enjoys hiking in the woods, playing games with friends, playing drums, and going to musical events. He is an Accountant/CPA and enjoys working on a variety of different projects, having his work change daily, and working with good people. Chris looks forward to being a teacher and mentor to our child, while also having fun with family game nights, hikes, and movies. He also looks forward to seeing his child grow and the changing personal relationship that comes with this.
About Jen
According to Chris: Jen loves walking our dog each day when she gets home from work. She is a surgical nurse in a surgery center and enjoys her work. She likes the flexibility, doing different procedures daily, and the team of people she works with. She enjoys running in our park or around the neighborhood, hiking in the woods, playing games with friends, reading, and playing her guitar. Jen is looking forward to spending time with our child, reading to them, playing with them, and helping them with their homework. She is also looking forward to decorating the house for every holiday, baking, and decorating cookies with her child.
Our Family
Both of our families live about 2 hours away from us. They are all excited for us to adopt and grow our family. Jen is an only child; her parents look forward to becoming grandparents and will visit often and help out. Chris has a brother and sister, with 5 combined nephews and nieces. They come to visit for a weekend every year enjoying different activities with us–going to the zoo, kayaking, the climbing wall, local museums, and of course the Lego and book stores. Chris’ parents also look forward to having another reason to visit.
Our Home in Pennsylvania
We live on the western side of Pennsylvania in a single-family home with 3 bedrooms, with room to add another room if we would like. Our neighborhood is quiet, and our neighbors are friendly. We have a wonderful yard, which our dog loves. We live close enough to the city to enjoy the symphony, musicals, sports teams, and other activities on a regular basis. We are anxiously putting together the nursery in an under-the-sea theme.

Your child will have an education that will help develop and encourage them to reach their full potential in life. They will grow up to know and trust Jesus Christ as their Savior. They will know and understand God’s love for them.
Your child will be loved by a wonderful extended family. Family time is important to us, and we see our parents and have gatherings often. We look forward to celebrating birthdays and holidays with them. We are excited to play and read with our child.

More About Our Family
Our pet
We rescued our puppy, Hope, about 3 years ago. She is about 4 years old now and loves to play with us and anyone that comes to visit. She is very friendly and enjoys meeting new people and other dogs. She brings so much joy into our lives, and we are looking forward to her playing with our child. She is protective of us, and I know she will always be there for our child ensuring their safety.

Things we love about where we live
We have enjoyed making our house into our home. We are blessed with good friends to visit, have dinner gatherings, and holiday parties. Through our church, we have a strong sense of community and enjoy being active members, along with attending concerts and special events they have. We feel safe in our neighborhood and our neighbors have been very helpful and friendly as we get to know them more. We have great jobs that offer flexibility and a sense of accomplishment in our careers. Through our multiple parks and hiking trails, there is always an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. Also, the city offers a wide range of entertainment and cultural experiences including parades, museums (for all age ranges), music halls, restaurants, and seasonal holiday markets, among others.
In Closing
Through adoption, we look forward to expanding our family. Know that we will always be praying for you and cannot wait to include you in our family. We are grateful and happy to be given this opportunity to raise your child. He or she will be loved unconditionally and will be raised as a Christian in a wonderful church family.
