Hello! We are so excited to be on this journey with you! We have been looking forward to adopting since we got married, and have been praying for you every night for the past 6 years. Please know that you are on our hearts often, and we can’t wait to get to know you!

Family is such a blessing to us, and we feel so privileged to have the ability to grow our family through adoption. We have a 4-year-old biological son named Joshua, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. You’ll often find us up on our local mountain snowboarding or snowmobiling as a family, or volunteering at our church.  We can’t wait to learn more about you and welcome you into our family!

About Us

We have had the joy of being together for 10 years and married for 7 years. God has blessed us so immensely because we are truly the best of friends who do everything together. In the summer months you’ll often catch us on our local lake paddle boarding or wake boarding. In the winter we are avid snowboarders who enjoy exploring the back country of the mountains or riding our snowmobiles to find the freshest powder. Our son, Joshua, has been snowboarding with us since he was 2 and eagerly awaits being able to teach his brother or sister. Year around we also host board game nights with our friends and Bible study members, as well as go out to try new restaurants. We look forward to bringing in another little one into our adventures.

We both always knew we’d adopt. Since before we were married, our plan was to have a couple biological children and adopt a few more. During our pregnancy with our son Joshua, we learned that he would be our only biological child that we’d be able to have. This did not discourage us, but instead just changed our plans a little. We feel so blessed that God has given us the opportunity to grow our family through adoption and cannot wait to see where this journey takes us.

About Hannah

Colby says: Hannah is a joy-filled, outgoing spirit with a strong heart for the Lord and those around her. She has the ability to make friends everywhere she goes and won’t hesitate to embrace those around her as new family. Her whole life she’s looked forward to being a mother and eagerly awaits the arrival of the new little one(s). She enjoys reading fantasy books, playing video games, snowboarding, cooking, painting, shopping, and planning the next home project for Colby to do.

Hannah taught Middle School Art as well as Middle School Math at a private Christian School in Oregon for 5 years. After moving to Washington, she began working in the infant room at a Private Christian daycare to help cover childcare costs for our son, as well as have more moments watching him grow. Now, she is pursuing her dream career making and selling jewelery.

Hannah loves being a mom and looks forward to bonding with and loving on our new child(ren). Many of her friends have multiple children, so she’s excited to have a solid group of Christian women to walk with her while she navigates the new world of being a mother with multiples.

About Colby

Hannah says: Colby is a gentle and selfless person who never fails to put family and Christ above all things. He works hard to provide for our family and create a safe and loving environment for us. He is always first to help those in need and volunteers at church whenever he can. When Colby isn’t doing home projects for me, you can usually find him outside working on cars, building metal art projects, riding dirt bikes, playing video games, and surfing.

For the past 11 years Colby has been welding as a pipe fitter. He enjoys the flexible schedule, fun work environment, and most of all, getting to do what he loves every day.  He looks forward to being able to take as much time off as needed to spend family time with the next child.

Colby most looks forward to watching our next child learn and grow as they try out new things and navigate new experiences. He is excited to watch Joshua become a big brother and witness their friendship blossom.

Our Son & Family

We have a 5-year-old son named Joshua. He is an energetic, active little guy who loves going with us on all our adventures. He talks daily about our future child and is so excited to become a big brother and share all his toys.

We are very blessed to have all our family living relatively close to us. We often get together with Hannah’s parents and brother for game nights and barbecues. Colby’s dad makes a point to see us once a week and take Joshua out to eat and play at the local parks. Hannah comes from a family where adoption is very common. She has 6 cousins and 1 aunt who were all adopted, which is one of the many reasons why it’s always been on her heart to adopt. They have been so helpful and given great advice as we learn all that goes on in the adoption process.

Some family traditions we’re excited to share with the next child:
-Christmas with Hannah’s family, which involves board games, takeout food, and Classic Christmas movies
-Our annual family camping trip down to the Oregon coast in the Summer
-Going snowboarding on Superbowl Sunday
-The Ultimate Easter Egg Hunt at Hannah’s family’s property

Our Home in Washington

We live on a lake in Washington. Our home is a large 3-bedroom house on a little less than half an acre, complete with a spacious playroom downstairs, home theater, and fully furnished nursery. We love how peaceful living in the country is and enjoy the view of the lake right outside our window. Outside we have a fully fenced yard with a trampoline and play structure for the kids, as well as a small sitting area where we enjoy eating family dinners when the weather is nice. Just down the road from us we have many state parks/campgrounds, as well as a local visitors center. We especially love spending time outside in the summers roasting marshmallows and enjoying the campfire smells from the local campgrounds, and look forward to doing this with our future child as well.

Our Promise

We promise to be open and honest with your child from the very start, to love them fiercely, and raise them in a way where they know where they came from and encourage them to grow in whatever their heritage may be. As they grow and enter school, we will enroll them in our local private Christian Academy to provide them with a higher standard of education as well as a safe, encouraging, Christ centered school environment. We also will open a college fund for them to prepare for their future. We will give them the opportunities to venture out and explore whatever they find interests in, and provide the means needed to help them flourish.

Our relationship with you is important to us, and we will continue our communication with you for as long as you desire. We want you to be confident in the quality of care your child(ren) will receive. We are open to maintaining regular zoom calls or similar style of communication, as well as emails and/or letters and are open to meeting in person.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Our Pets

We have 2 dogs and 2 cats:
-Francis is our 3-year-old German Shepherd/Border Collie who loves swimming and running
-Judy is our 1-year-old Yellow Lab who loves everything about life, except baths
-Hank is our 6-year-old male kitty who loves to be carried around and hand fed
-Abigail is our 6-year-old female kitty who loves to talk to people and take naps in laps

Our Faith

We have both been lifelong churchgoers. Colby accepted Jesus as his Savior and was baptized at 11 years old, and Hannah when she was 13. Currently we lead a young adults' group in our church and help out with the youth group weekly. We make sure to attend church as a family every Sunday, and if we cannot make it in person due to sickness, inclement weather, or being out of town, we attend online service. As a family we do nightly prayer before bed and have been working through a children's devotional with Joshua, as well as having our own couple's devotional we try and do each night afterwards. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and died on the cross to raise from the dead 3 days later for the forgiveness of our sins.

5 Things We Love on a Weekend

1) Chilly weather
2) Family breakfasts
3) Sunday church service
4) Spontaneous family trips
5) Family movie nights

The Thing I Admire Most About My Spouse

Hannah says: The thing I admire most about Colby is how giving he is. He is always willing to give his time to help others (whether we know them or not), his money to take care of anyone who might be short or in need, and his possessions to anyone who needs to borrow something; he never questions their motives and gives so freely. It brings me so much joy watching how he always jumps to take care of those around us.

Colby says: What I admire most about Hannah is how much she truly loves being a mother, and a homemaker. Our house is our home because of all the work she puts into making everything work together so well. It is a place I come home to and can spend a week off work here and never have the desire to leave to go somewhere different. As a mother, she is the most patient person I have ever met and teaches me so much about how to better coach our son. She spends time to learn much more than just what not to do as a parent and knows the whys of how to help kids grow.

In Closing

We look forward to growing our family through adoption and joyfully await the arrival of the newest little one(s). As a family we are praying for you daily and are prepared to have an open adoption. Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know us and we hope you'll consider allowing us the honor and responsibility of loving your child(ren).
