Hello from Maryland! We are grateful for the opportunity to grow our family. We have strong Catholic and conservative values that we look forward to sharing with our children. Our extended family and friends are excited for our adoption journey and are looking forward to supporting us along the way. We are open to discussing any level of contact that you are comfortable with, and hope you find a connection to our story. We’re looking forward to hearing from you and sharing more about ourselves and the life that we envision for our family. God bless!
About Us
We met in April 2021 and got married in May 2023. We believe God waited until we were a little older to bring us together because He wanted us to be at a point in our lives where we could dedicate ourselves to our family. We started trying for a baby immediately after getting married, but unfortunately that road has not been smooth. We’ve gotten pregnant naturally and through IVF, but have lost 4 babies. We believe God used those losses to show us that adoption is part of our family plan. We haven’t lost faith and are still pursuing pregnancy, but also want to adopt because this calling is not a “last resort.” We want to raise our baby to know that we answered when God called because His plan for our family always included you and them.
We’re an active couple and enjoy traveling and being outdoors. We recently bought a camper and are having fun exploring different state and national parks. Although we love discovering new places, we are homebodies at heart. We spend most of our time gardening and birdwatching in our backyard. We take pride in our home and love working on projects to make it perfect for our family.
About Maria
Cory says: Maria has a warm, confident demeanor and has a glass-half-full attitude. Currently, she is a Project Coordinator for the Navy, but has worked for various military organizations over her 20-year career.
She is a natural homemaker and loves cooking and decorating our home for the different seasons and holidays. She wants to be a stay-at-home mom and looks forward to homeschooling and building a fun and faith-filled life for our children. Maria wants them to be confident and courageous and can’t wait to expand our horizons and explore the world as a family.
In her free time, Maria likes to read sci-fi/fantasy books, work in the garden, and take our dog, Lancelot, to the dog park.
About Cory
Maria says: Cory joined the Army during his senior year of high school and is looking forward to retiring in August 2026 after a 20-year career. Cory is stoic and reserved with most people, but is the most generous and loving man to his family. He sets the example by being the spiritual leader for our family and working hard to take care of me and our home.
Cory enjoys the satisfaction of crafting and creating with his hands through woodworking, which he looks forward to teaching our kids. Cory is excited to take family trips to the mountains and spending time outdoors so our kids can learn about different plants and animals. He wants to teach our children to be humble, kind, and to stand up for others.
Cory makes a point to work out every day. When he has free time, he enjoys watching sci-fi videos on YouTube, playing guitar, and brewing beer from scratch on his home system.
Our Family
Maria has a big extended family who live all over the world. We keep in touch regularly through social media and FaceTime. They are looking forward to visiting and helping us adjust to life with a baby if we are chosen.
Cory’s family is from New England. We visit New Hampshire and Florida a few times a year and rotate Christmases between our 3 states. In between visits, we have weekly phone calls to keep updated on family news. Cory’s family is looking forward to us adopting and his parents are very excited to have another grandbaby to spoil.
Maria has a 10-year-old Sheepadoodle who grew up around her family when they lived closer, so he is good with kids of all ages.
Our Home in Maryland
We live in a safe, quiet neighborhood outside of Annapolis, MD. We have a school less than 100 yards from our front door and neighborhood kids ride their bikes and play outside, like people did in the 80’s!
Our Home:
We have already designated a bedroom to be the nursery. We recently updated the blinds in our home and Maria made sure to consider how much light they could shut out for when the baby takes daytime naps. As a huge Harry Potter fan, Maria is excited to decorate with a Hogwarts theme.
Our Promise to You
We promise to give our whole hearts to your baby, loving and supporting them in the good times, hard times, and everything in between. We promise to pray with them every night and teach them to love and follow God first. We promise to be there for you during this whole process and look forward to building our relationship as much as you are comfortable with. We promise to teach our baby about adoption and that God answered our prayers for parenthood by bringing all of us together.
We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family
Weekend Interests
We love taking road trips to visit different parts of the country and trying the local specialty cuisine. We are working on visiting all of the national parks in the country and have a map at home that we use to track our progress. We are excited to have kids along to share these experiences.
Growing up in New England, Cory grew to love fall weather and the changing foliage. We make a point every fall to enjoy different activities like festivals, apple picking, and pumpkin carving. We live 5 minutes from a local farm that hosts annual sunflower, fall, and Christmas festivals. We are looking forward to taking our kids there to make memories as a family.
Our Faith
We were both born and raised Catholic, and our faith plays a central part in our marriage. We trust God's plan for our family and pray that He will build a connection between us and our child's birthmother. Our New Year's resolution in 2025 was to grow in our faith so we started listening to the "Bible in a Year" podcast and set aside time every day to listen to God's word. We also use the Hallow app to help us maintain our prayer life and it has given us the chance to pray together nightly as a couple. We attend church weekly and are excited to baptize our children to welcome them into the Catholic family. Maria is excited to help with the Children's Liturgy when our kids get old enough to participate. We have a lot of young families at our parish and Cory is excited to be one of the proud dads carrying our baby during mass.
Musical Tastes
Maria was a 90s kid and enjoys old-school hip hop and R&B. Cory is a big gym nut and gets pumped listening to house music. Together we listen to country music, easy listening, and jazz because it keeps a relaxing vibe in our home. But we're ready to listen to non-stop Disney, Baby Shark, or whatever catchy kids' songs are popular!
Family Traditions
Cory and his dad are avid fans of woodworking. Cory's dad built his crib, which Cory is working to refurbish for our child, and their family dining table, which we now have in our home. Cory's dad made them Christmas gifts every year using his woodworking skills, a tradition that Cory has carried on in our family. He is looking forward to building a mini Home Depot cart for our kids that they can use when he takes them to shop for projects and Christmas supplies.
Maria got her love of cooking from her mom. Filipinos are known for their warm hospitality and love of feeding people. Maria's mom always made home-cooked meals and is known for her delicious cooking. Maria learned to cook many traditional Filipino dishes that she loves sharing with friends and coworkers. Maria is excited to share these recipes and pass along her love of cooking to our kids.
In Closing
Our hearts were made to be parents and your decision to respect life and share that gift with a family is part of God's plan. We hope you feel a connection to us and want to get to know us better! After almost 20 years of serving the country, we are ready to shift gears and excited to dedicate ourselves to creating a loving and supportive home for our children. We have dreams of a large family and would be so grateful if chosen to welcome your child(ren) into our home.
