Watch Our Video

Hello from Maryland! We are grateful for the opportunity to grow our family. We have strong Catholic and conservative values that we look forward to sharing with our children. Our extended family and friends are excited for our adoption journey and are looking forward to supporting us along the way. We are open to discussing any level of contact that you are comfortable with, and hope you find a connection to our story. We’re looking forward to hearing from you and sharing more about ourselves and the life that we envision for our family. God bless!

About Us

We met in 2021 and got married in 2023. We believe God waited until we were a little older to bring us together because He wanted us to be at a point in our lives where we could dedicate ourselves to our family. We started trying for a baby immediately after getting married, but unfortunately that road has not been smooth. We’ve gotten pregnant naturally and through IVF, but have lost 5 babies. We believe God used those losses to show us that adoption is part of our family plan. We haven’t lost faith and are still pursuing pregnancy, but also want to adopt because this calling is not a “last resort.” We want to raise our baby to know that we answered when God called because His plan for our family always included you and them.

We’re an active couple and enjoy traveling and being outdoors. We have a camper and enjoy exploring different state and national parks. Although we love discovering new places, we are homebodies at heart. We spend most of our time gardening and birdwatching in our backyard. We take pride in our home and love working on projects to make it perfect for our family.

About Maria

Cory says: Maria has a warm, confident demeanor and has a glass-half-full attitude. Currently, she is a Project Coordinator for the Navy, but has worked for various military organizations over her 20-year career.

She is a natural homemaker and loves cooking and decorating our home for the different seasons and holidays. She wants to be a stay-at-home mom and looks forward to homeschooling and building a fun and faith-filled life for our children. Maria wants them to be confident and courageous and can’t wait to expand our horizons and explore the world as a family.

In her free time, Maria likes to read sci-fi/fantasy books, work in the garden, and take our dog, Lancelot, to the dog park.

Maria loves Harry Potter and is excited to decorate the nursery in a Hogwarts theme.

About Cory

Maria says: Cory joined the Army during his senior year of high school and is excited to start a new chapter now that he has retired after a 20-year career. Cory is stoic and reserved with most people, but is the most generous and loving man to his family. He sets the example by being the spiritual leader for our family and working hard to take care of me and our home.

Cory enjoys the satisfaction of crafting and creating with his hands through woodworking, which he looks forward to teaching our kids. Cory is excited to take family trips to the mountains and spending time outdoors so our kids can learn about different plants and animals. He wants to teach our children to be humble, kind, and to stand up for others.

Cory makes a point to work out every day. When he has free time, he enjoys watching sci-fi videos on YouTube, playing guitar, and brewing beer from scratch on his home system.

Our Family

Maria has a big extended family who live all over the world. We keep in touch regularly through social media and FaceTime. They are looking forward to visiting and helping us adjust to life with a baby if we are chosen.

  • Parents: Manila, Philippines
  • Sister, Brother-in-Law, Nephew: Okinawa, Japan
  • Niece & Husband, daughter: Okinawa, Japan
  • Nephew & Niece: Oahu, Hawaii
  • Brother, Sister-in-Law, Nephews: Southern Maryland

Cory’s family is from New England. We visit New Hampshire and Florida a few times a year and rotate Christmases between our 3 states. In between visits, we have weekly phone calls to keep updated on family news. Cory’s family is looking forward to us adopting and his parents are very excited to have another grandbaby to spoil.

  • Parents: Florida/Maine
  • Sister, Brother-in-Law, Nephew: New Hampshire
  • Niece: Florida

Maria has a Sheepadoodle who grew up around her family when they lived closer, so he is good with kids of all ages.

Our Home in Maryland

We live in a safe, quiet neighborhood outside of Annapolis, MD. We have a school less than 100 yards from our front door and neighborhood kids ride their bikes and play outside, like people did in the 80’s!

Our Home:

  • 1800 square feet
  • 3 bedrooms
  • Private, fenced backyard
  • Multiple neighborhood playgrounds

One of the bedrooms is ready to be the nursery. Cory recently refurbished the crib his Dad made for him when he was a baby, so our home is ready as soon as we are matched.

Our Promise to You

We promise to give our whole hearts to your baby, loving and supporting them in the good times, hard times, and everything in between. We promise to pray with them every night and teach them to love and follow God first. We promise to be there for you during this whole process and look forward to building our relationship as much as you are comfortable with. We promise to teach our baby about adoption and that God answered our prayers for parenthood by bringing all of us together.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Weekend Interests

We love fall weather and the changing foliage so we enjoy seasonal activities like festivals, apple picking, and pumpkin carving. We live 5 minutes from a local farm that hosts annual sunflower, fall, and Christmas festivals. We are looking forward to taking our kids there to make memories as a family.

Our Faith

We were both born and raised Catholic, and our faith plays a central part in our marriage. We trust God's plan for our family and trust that He will build a connection between us, our child, and their birthmother. We attend mass weekly are part of the adoration ministry. We are excited to baptize our children to welcome them into the Catholic family. We have a lot of young families at our parish and Cory is excited to be one of the proud dads carrying our baby during mass.

Travel Enthusiasts

We love to travel. Our favorite vacation so far has been driving a campervan around Alaska. We've been to almost all of the national parks on the east coast and plan to explore westward, starting with Mammoth Cave in Fall 2026. We are looking forward to showing our children all the natural beauty our great country has to offer.

Family Traditions

Cory and his dad are avid fans of woodworking. Cory's dad built his crib, which he has refurbished for our baby. Cory's dad made them Christmas gifts every year using his woodworking skills, a tradition that Cory has carried on in our family. He is looking forward to building a mini Home Depot cart for our kids that they can use when he takes them to shop for projects and Christmas supplies.

Maria got her love of cooking from her mom. Filipinos are known for their warm hospitality and love of feeding people. Maria's mom taught her how to cook traditional Filipino dishes that she loves sharing with friends, family, and coworkers. Maria is excited to share these recipes and pass along her love of cooking to our kids.

Maria made our wedding cake so she could bake it every year on our anniversary. She hopes to add our baby's birthday cakes to our yearly family traditions.

In Closing

Our hearts were made to be parents and your decision to respect life and share that gift with a family is part of God's plan. We hope you feel a connection to us and want to get to know us better! After 20 years of serving the country, we are ready to shift gears and excited to dedicate ourselves to creating a loving and supportive home for our children. We have dreams of a large family and would be so grateful if chosen to welcome your child(ren) into our home.
