Watch Our Video

Hello from Sunny California! We are Craig and Joy, and we look forward to taking on this journey together. We are a mixed-race couple that have been together for over 15 years and come from two large, Catholic families. We enjoy traveling, cooking, going to Disneyland and spending time with friends and family. We are ready to expand our family and give our child a beautiful home filled with love, and help them learn and grow. We hope to get to know you better and learn what you want for your child.

About Us

We have been married for almost 11 years and have a small dog named Divot. We enjoy traveling and always visit a historical site or museum when we travel. We see plays and musicals, and saw Wicked on stage recently. We like to find recipes on Instagram and cook them for each other during the week for dinner. We have a large, diverse family and group of friends who we like to spend time with on the weekends and go on trips together, like cruises and resorts.

We were brought to adoption because we are ready to expand our little family and unfortunately are unable to have children. We want to raise our child who we will love, care for, and teach the values of kindness, adventure and faith. One of the first things we look forward to doing with our child is to meet Mickey at Disneyland and get them their first set of ears!

About Joy

Joy was born in Northern California and grew up with one sister, as well as lots of cousins, aunties, and uncles in her large Filipino family. She is now working as a Project Director at a tech company.

Some of her favorite things to do are:

  • Workout at the gym (lift weights and take group classes)
  • Disneyland (rides and the fireworks!)
  • Walk around the beach & enjoy the waves
  • Cook a big meal for friends & family at our house
  • Go to concerts & baseball games with friends

Craig describes Joy: she is a “JOY” to be around. She loves to laugh, take care of her friends and make those around her feel special. She loves to plan family events like baby showers, birthdays, and Christmas dinner, and is loving, patient and smart. She looks forward to teaching our child the value of family, culture and education. She comes from a deeply rooted culture background and has a diverse friend and family group that she wants to share with our child. She wants to preserve their roots and grow together in love and care.

  • About Craig

Craig was born and raised in California with 2 older brothers, 3 older sisters, and 1 younger brother. He also has 7 nieces and nephews.

Some of his favorite things to do are:

  • Traveling, especially on or near the water
  • Keeping the backyard free of weeds (& BBQ ready)
  • Golfing
  • Walk or lifting weights at the gym
  • Hanging out with friends

Joy describes Craig: he is my best friend. He is naturally engaging, loyal, and has a strong work ethic. I have never felt more comfortable around a person as Craig. He is loving, funny, genuine and my rock; though he can seem hard on the outside, but he is a goofball with the biggest heart.Craig looks forward to teaching our child the fun in life, to help others, to be self-reliant, a free thinker, and that it is okay to ask questions. He also desires to teach our child where they come from–nationality and biologically.

  • Our Family

Craig is #6 out of 7 children in his family. They all live less than an hour away and we see his family almost every weekend. Joy has one sister, but has a very large extended family in the Bay Area that we travel to see every few months. Joy’s parents have a home in northern California and another house only 10 minutes away. We see them every month.

Both of our families are supportive and excited for us to adopt a child. One of Joy’s cousins was adopted from the Philippines. Craig looks forward to sharing his family tradition of cooking Thanksgiving dinner and having the family together at our home. Joy looks forward to sharing our family’s annual chili cook-off party in the summer!

    Our Home in California

We live in a 3-bedroom, two-story home. We actually picked the dirt lot for our home to be built from the ground up and chose all of the designs. We have a large open downstairs area and a large loft upstairs to play. We have a small backyard that looks into a small, wooded area so you can’t see any neighbors behind us. We live only 10 minutes from the beach and less than 5 minutes from the park!

    Our Promise

We promise to tell your story and let you have a healthy relationship with your child. We will raise your child to know their culture and background, and answer any and all questions when they are ready.

We will be loving parents who value education, faith, and family–just like we were raised. We both attended Catholic grade school, something that we wish to do the same for our child. We will have education funds from birth so that they will be able to attend college or chose a trade if they desire, that will equip them for their future. We will take them to every family event so they will know their cousins, aunts and uncles.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

    More About Our Family

    Family traditions

    - After prayer while we eat dinner, we always like to talk about our day and what was good about it
    - Every Thanksgiving we either cook a full Thanksgiving spread or order a full Thanksgiving meal for Craig’s family and enjoy it together. After Thanksgiving in southern California, and usually a nap, we pack up the car and drive to northern California to have a second Thanksgiving dinner at Joy’s uncle’s house.
    - Every Christmas Eve, Joy's family hosts an event called “Buena Noche” where we all gather late at night and have a late meal together. At the stroke of midnight, we all hug each other and say, “Merry Christmas” and open gifts. We then all go home afterwards where Santa has left gifts for everyone too!
    - Every New Year’s Day Craig’s family gathers together to eat finger foods, play Poker, and watch the Rose Bowl parade & football on TV
    - Lastly, every anniversary, birthday, Christmas and Valentine’s Day we give each other cards with special notes written from the heart. We have saved every card since our first anniversary together.

5 things we love on a weekend

    1. Sundays we visit with Craig’s mom
    2. We workout at the gym every Saturday
    3. We cook at least one dinner together
    4. We go to Disneyland, a Padres game, hit a bucket of balls, or catch a movie together
    5. We hang out with our dog and go over our plans for the upcoming week

    Our Pet, Divot

Divot is a 13-year-old terrier mix, who looks like Wishbone from the kids show. Divot is bilingual and speaks dog & Tagalog. His main activity is sleeping with the occasional zoomies. No one can cuddle like Divot, especially when pillows and blankets are involved. When guests spend the night, Divot goes and cuddles with them.

3 things on our bucket list

    1. Visit our homelands, Italy and Philippines
    2. Stay in an overwater bungalow
    3. Start a business

    In Closing

We look forward to taking this journey with you and for all of us to get to know each other better. We promise to give your child a loving home, take them on fun and educational journeys, and nurture them to be the best they can. We want our child to have a deep understanding of their roots and culture and know that they will always be loved.
