Hello from hot and sunny Arizona!

We are Daniel and Chantey. We are very excited to expand our family as first-time parents through the gift of adoption. Family, Friends and Faith are of the utmost importance to us. We look forward to loving and caring for children. We know they will have a lot to teach us as well. We also look forward to meeting you, getting to know you, and having a lifelong relationship with you. Communication is HUGE for us, and we can’t wait to hear about your hopes and dreams as well.

A Bit About Us!

We have been together for almost 19 years. We fell madly in love at the tender ages of 18 and 19 after meeting through Daniel’s sister, and have been inseparable ever since. After going through fertility treatments a few years back, we decided it wasn’t for us. God has been pulling us towards adoption for a while now.

As a couple we like doing almost everything together. We love going camping, to amusement parks (Mostly Disneyland,) movies, concerts, sports games, etc. We also like staying in and binge watching tv shows and movies. We are close with family and friends, so we usually have at least one event to go to on the weekends.

We look forward to lots of bedtime stories, snuggles, vacations, and all of the “firsts” with our child: first words, steps, first day of school, etc. We are excited to experience the world as “new” through a child’s eyes.

My Wife, Chantey

Chantey is the most loving, caring, and thoughtful person I know.  She would do anything for her family, friends, and our three dogs Lambeau, Hank, and Otis.  Chantey has many interests that include cooking, shopping, poetry, music, pottery, movies/tv, and arts & crafts.  Her favorite holidays are Halloween and Christmas, during which she goes all out with decorations and food. Chantey loves that she gets to work from home every day. She likes to make plans for us to attend local events, but one of her favorite things is to plan trips to the beach or fun parks (mainly Disneyland.) She is over the moon excited to be able to do all of this with our children.  Chantey has so much love to share, and I am very excited to see her as a mother. She is excited for prayers at night and lots of bedtime stories with our child. Chantey can’t wait to show them how to cook or bake when they get a little older.

My Husband, Daniel

I always say that Daniel is the best person I know. He is the kindest man I have ever met. He is loyal, caring and honest, the kind of man that would give a stranger the shirt off of his back. He is very positive and looks at life through a very grateful lens.

Daniel has been a very hard worker and provider since day 1. He is always making sure we have everything we need. He has a great sense of humor and isn’t afraid to be silly and play with all of our nieces and nephews. His warm and accepting nature is a magnet for anyone who meets him. Daniel loves to be social, attend sporting events, play sports, and likes to put together special dates for us to go on. He is a rock for me and many others in our family and friend group. I know I can always count on him. Daniel loves all games, puzzles, and electronics. He is excited to teach our child to do puzzles and play games. He is also excited to talk about sports and teach different sports to our children.

Our Family

We are very close with all of our family and friends. Some of Daniel’s family lives in a small town in Northern Arizona, about a 3-hour drive from us. There are lots of pine trees and snow in the winter months; it is a nice escape from the desert and busy city life. When we aren’t visiting them or spending holidays there, we speak to them on the phone regularly.

Most of our immediate family lives within 5 minutes to an hour of us. We also have extended family in several different states across the US. Since we are close with family, we have regular text group chats, face-times/phone calls, and visits.

We spend most holidays with immediate family, and friends that have become family. Everyone’s birthday is always celebrated with at least a cake, but usually a BBQ or at a restaurant. Our family is all beyond thrilled that we will be adding another member to the family.  The most thrilled are our 2 close family friends who themselves where adopted. We have many holiday traditions, especially around Christmas and Halloween. Decorating, costumes, crafts and baking for Halloween; Christmas Eve in pjs, with lots more decorating, baking, crafting and gifting. We always have loads of food, and usually everyone gets to take leftovers home. It warms our hearts to think of sharing all of this with our children.

Our Home in Arizona

We live in a city not too far from Phoenix, Arizona. We are called ” The Valley of the Sun,” which is fitting since rain is scarce here. The summer months can be very hot from about June-September, but it is a dry heat. The rest of the year the weather cools a bit and is really amazing.

We live in a 3-bedroom, tri-level home within a neighborhood with lots of space inside and out. We have 2 rooms to choose from for a nursery, which we are super excited to start putting together. We are all about themes, so we need to come up with one for the nursery soon. There is also a decent size backyard that our dogs love to play fetch in.

The location of our home is part of what made us love it. We are close to all sorts of family, friends, theaters, restaurants, museums, farms, schools, etc. We are in the middle of multiple freeways that can get us to other cities quickly. We also love the city/neighborhood we live in because of all the diversity. Being a border state, we have all kinds of people from different races, cultures, backgrounds, etc. It keeps life fun and fresh.

Our Promise

We promise to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing home filled with faith, positivity and encouragement. We promise to teach the importance of God, moral values, education, hard work, and connection with others. Our family and friends are also ready to support him/ her along with us. We look forward to creating a strong bond, and loving memories. We are open to emails, calls, pictures, texts and visits with you. You will always be a part of our family, and we want to hear about all the things you desire. We are also open to any questions you have for us. We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Our Pets!

We have 3 dogs who are part of our family! We have a yellow lab named Lambeau who is 10 years young. We have a border collie mix named Hank who is 6, and our little Boston Terrier named Otis is 2. We have always had a deep love for all animals and have always had dogs in our home. Lambeau is our old sweet boy, Hank can be sneaky, but is so smart, and Otis wants to play or give kisses all the time.

We love taking them on walks when the weather permits. They love to play tug of war and fetch. They also love giving lots of snuggles to anyone here, and we love getting them. We have many nieces and nephews who come to stay with us, and the dogs just love them. They constantly give kisses and try to sneak in the bed with the kids when they stay overnight. They are constant shadows with the kids and are gentle with them.

Our Faith

We are Christians. We currently do not belong to a specific church, but we have gone to a few to try and find the right fit for us. God is very important in our lives, and we want to raise a child in our Christian faith.

Our Musical Interest

We really love ALL music. Growing up our families listened to a lot of country, rock, blues and soul across all decades. When we grew up, we incorporated rap, metal, punk and pretty much anything in between. To this day our playlists are very eclectic. Can't forget those Holiday tunes either!

Adoption in our Family

We have two family members who chose adoption for their children at one point in their lives. We also have 2 very close family friends who themselves where adopted. Adoption has always been an open topic amongst our family and friends. We recognize that adoption has many sides to it. We love that we have people in our immediate circle that can provide feedback and support on all sides of the adoption journey.

In Closing

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn a bit about us. We are looking forward to getting to know you, and creating a lifelong relationship. We are open to any questions you may have for us, and are wanting to keep communication open always.
