Hello! We’re Darren and Savanna from Texas, and we’re so grateful you’ve taken the time to learn a little about us. Family has always been at the center of our lives. We love spending time with our families, making memories with our dogs, and finding joy in the simple moments together. Our greatest hope is to provide a child with a home filled with unconditional love, laughter, encouragement, and endless support.
We know this journey is deeply personal, and we want you to know that we would be honored to get to know you. Every adoption story is unique, and if you choose us, we hope to build a meaningful relationship with you, one where you always know how much you mean to our family.
About Us
From the very beginning, we’ve been best friends who truly enjoy doing life together. Whether we’re taking evening walks, working out, traveling to new places, going to the movies, having cozy movie nights at home, or spending time playing with our dogs, we love making the most of every moment together. We believe the little, everyday moments are often the most meaningful, and we can’t wait to share those moments with our child.
We have both dreamed of adopting since we were children. Long before we met, adoption has had a special place in each of our hearts and realizing we shared that dream made us even more certain that this was how we wanted to begin growing our family. We truly believe God has been preparing our hearts for the journey, and we feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity to become parents through adoption.
When we think about the day we welcome a baby into our family, our hearts fill with excitement! We look forward to bedtime stories, first steps, family vacations, trips to the park, family traditions, cheering them on as they discover their passions, and simply being there for every milestone along the way. Most of all, we look forward to giving our child a lifetime of unconditional love, support, laughter, and a home where they will always know they are safe, valued, and deeply loved.
About Savanna
According to Darren: My wife is one of the most compassionate, dedicated, and genuine people I know. One of the qualities I admire most about her is her determination. When she sets her mind to something, she gives it her full effort and never gives up. She has an outgoing personality and brings joy to those around her through her kindness, energy, and caring nature. Savanna works with children at a Mother’s Day Out program, and she truly loves what she does. She looks forward to going to work each day because she enjoys building relationships with the children in her care, and helping them learn and grow. Her nurturing heart and patience make her a natural caregiver.
In her free time, Savanna enjoys taking walks, having meaningful conversations about life, spending time with our dogs, and taking them on car rides. She also enjoys coloring, which helps her relax and unwind after a busy day. More than anything, Savanna is excited to become a mother. She looks forward to providing our child with a home filled with unconditional love, encouragement, and stability. She is committed to helping our future child grow into the best version of themselves by supporting them and celebrating their individuality.
About Darren
According to Savanna: Darren has such a kind and patient heart, and one of the things I love most about him is how naturally caring he is. His personality that lights up a room. He is always making me laugh with his silly sense of humor, and no matter what kind of day I’m having, I can’t help but smile when he walks through the door. He works as a material handler for an electrical company, and I admire how hardworking and dependable he is. I know those same qualities will make him an incredible father.
When he’s not at work, you’ll usually find him playing softball, spending time with our dogs, watching a movie with me, looking at trucks, or watching the Astros or the Texans play. More than anything, Darren is excited to become a dad. He dreams of building a close bond with our child, creating family traditions they’ll look forward to every year, and making memories together through travel and everyday moments. I have no doubt our child will always know they are deeply loved, supported, and cherished by him.
Our Family
Our family is one of the greatest blessings in our lives, and we are so thankful for the love and support that surrounds us. Darren’s family lives within 30 minutes, and Savanna’s parents are just 10 minutes away. Although some of our extended family lives in Florida, Illinois, and Ohio, we stay close and make time for visits, holidays, and special moments. Adoption is also a meaningful part of our family’s story, as both of our moms were adopted by their stepdads when they were young. Our families are incredibly supportive of our adoption journey and are so excited to welcome our first child.
We can’t wait to share our family traditions while creating new ones of our own. From Darren’s family’s yearly summer vacations and Savanna’s family’s trips to Florida, to cheering at softball games, nightly walks, holidays, and everyday moments together, we look forward to our child growing up surrounded by family, love, and countless memories.
Our Home in Texas
We feel incredibly blessed to call South Texas home. We live in a cozy three-bedroom house that we chose because of its welcoming neighborhood, where families and children are always outside playing and neighbors truly know and care about one another. One of our favorite features is the open floor plan, which allows us to cook dinner in the kitchen while still spending time together in the living room. We also love our large, fenced backyard where our two dogs, Nala and Kiara, spend their days playing together before curling up for naps. Our neighborhood also has parks, great schools nearby, and plenty of indoor activities for those hot Texas days, making it a wonderful place to raise a child.
As we prepare to grow our family through adoption, we have been excitedly getting our home ready. We are in the process of creating a nursery and have already started collecting many of the essentials, including a crib, dresser, and other baby items, so that we will be ready whenever we receive “the call.” More than anything, we look forward to filling our home with the laughter and joy of a child. We can already picture story time in the living room, playing in the backyard, family dinners around the table, and making memories together every day. Our home has always been our dream, and we can’t wait to share it with our child.
Our Promise
If you are considering choosing us to be your baby’s parents, we promise to love your child with our whole hearts and never take this gift for granted. We promise a life filled with love, laughter, faith, family, and opportunities to grow into who they are meant to be. We picture movie nights, family dinners, nightly walks, vacations, and countless little moments that become our favorite memories. Most of all, we want them to always feel safe coming to us, sharing their thoughts, asking questions, and knowing they are deeply loved.

More About Our Family
Plans for Childcare
We plan to have a flexible childcare routine that allows us to spend as much time as possible with our baby. Savanna will be a part-time stay-at-home mom, working Tuesday through Thursday for about six hours each day. While Savanna is at work, her mom will come to our home to care for the baby, allowing our child to stay in a familiar and comfortable environment with someone who loves them deeply. Once our child turns two, we plan for them to be able to join Savanna at work and have their own classroom, which we are really excited about.
Darren works during the day but will be home every evening and will have all of his weekends to spend with our child. We are excited about creating a routine where our baby is surrounded by people who love them, while also making sure they have plenty of time with both of us. Our goal is for our child to always feel safe, loved, supported, and surrounded by family as they grow.
Our Faith
Faith is a very important part of our lives and something we hope to share with our future child. Savanna works at a local church where she teaches Pre-K, so she gets to spend her days teaching little ones about Jesus and His story.
Most importantly, we truly believe that God has a plan for our lives and that everything happens for a reason. We have prayed over our journey to adoption and trust that God is leading us exactly where we are meant to be. We are so excited to continue growing in our faith throughout this journey and, one day, to share that faith and love for Jesus with our child.
Our Dogs
Our dogs, Nala and Kiara, are a huge part of our family! Nala is a Black Mouth Cur; Savanna got her when she was in college. Nala even lived with Savanna in her college dorm and has been by her side through so many seasons of life. She has completed a five-week off leash training program with a trainer. Nala is incredibly sweet and loves to cuddle, sleep under a blanket next to someone, play with Darren, and spend her days hunting lizards in the backyard. Kiara is our Lab mix. She has also completed training with the same trainer. Kiara is the funniest, most playful dog and loves meeting everyone, playing, and giving out as many kisses as she can!
Nala and Kiara love to cuddle and play together, and we love watching their personalities develop. They both will be wonderful with a baby--gentle, loving, and protective. We can already picture our little one growing up with these two by their side, making memories, playing in the backyard, and having two furry best friends to love them every day.
5 Things We Love on a Weekend
1. Spending time with Family--Whenever our family is available, we love spending our weekends together! Whether it's having a meal, visiting, or just hanging out, we always enjoy being surrounded by the people we love.
2. Taking our dogs to the park--Our dogs are a part of our family, and we love taking them to the park on the weekends. We let them sniff and explore, play with their favorite toys, and enjoy being outside.
3. Going on a date--We love finding something fun to do together, whether that means going out to eat, seeing a movie, trying something new, or spending the day at the beach. We enjoy making memories together, even when it's something simple.
4. Running errands together--We actually love running errands together! Sometimes we have things we need to get done, and other times we'll just go look around at fun stores without buying anything. We love that even the everyday things are more fun when we're doing them together.
5. Relaxing and enjoying time with each other--Some of our favorite weekends are the quiet ones. We love having time to slow down, talk about our week, go for a walk, or simply spend time together at home. We cherish those moments where we can relax, reconnect, and enjoy each other's company.
