About Us!
We met in our sophomore year of high school and have been together ever since. Initially, we envisioned having both biological children and adopting, but due to fertility challenges, we’ve realized that adoption is the path God has for us to grow our family.
One of our favorite things to do is travel and explore new cultures. Whether here in the states or abroad, we love going to new places and trying new things, including new foods. One of our shared interests is music. We love finding new artists to listen to and go to concerts.
Some of our favorite memories are made while spending time with our family, friends, and church groups at gatherings–dinners, holiday parties, and game nights. Our “Village” is very excited for the new addition our family will be blessed with.
Meet Daryl
What Ashley says about Daryl: I am truly blessed that God has made Daryl my husband and best friend. Daryl is the most selfless, loving, and supportive person, always ready and willing to do anything for anyone needing a hand. He is a great provider who always puts his family’s needs above his own. He will be committed to our children with love, guidance and support. He can seem very shy or reserved when you first meet him, but will quickly open up. He has a great sense of humor and loves to travel.

Meet Ashley
What Daryl says about Ashley: My wife is an amazing human being, and I thank God for having her in my life. She has an incredible heart, is kind, and loves everyone she comes in contact with. Ashley is very loyal and sympathizes with people more than any other person I know. She will be a great mother because she already displays nurturing behavior with kids in our family and her job. She loves to crack jokes and make people laugh. She loves to travel and experience different cultures and food. She is also an avid reader, so I can’t wait to see the different books and stories her and our child will explore.

Our Family
Ashley grew up in South Jersey and is the youngest of four children-she has two brothers and a sister. They all live within an hour drive from one another. She has a ton of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, God children, and extended family that make gatherings a great time. We enjoy game nights, BBQs, and seafood nights with her family. Ashley’s mother loves to take her grandchildren to church, zoos, and community events. She is excited for the family to grow.
Daryl also grew up in South Jersey with one sister and one stepsister. Growing up with a huge extended family, his cousins are also like siblings. His mother is big on Sunday dinners and continues to have gatherings to get the family together. Daryl’s father is a great cook who loves to BBQ and have everyone over to get in the pool.
We are lucky that our home is the spot where we can get both sides of our families together for holidays, BBQs, and family dinners. Our families are extremely happy and excited to welcome a new child. We are looking forward to sharing family traditions with our child and watching them grow surrounded by love.
Our Home in New Jersey
We live in a four-bedroom, split-level, single-family home. We have a huge backyard for kids and our two dogs to play in, and also a local park in our development. This area is diverse with tons of places to visit and activities to do like the zoo, aquarium, theme parks–a great place to raise a family. One of the great things about where we live is being 45 minutes from the Jersey shore and 30 minutes from Philly, all while still being close to parks, forests, and farmland. We are blessed to have Ashley’s mother living with us. She is very supportive as we grow our family.

More About Our Family
Our Faith
We both have seen a growth in our faith over the last few years. Our relationship with the Lord has become stronger, which has led us to having an even better marriage. We serve in roles in our church in finance, technology, and scheduling. Wanting to serve more led us to go on our first mission trip in 2024 to the Dominican Republic. We have benefited in having a church family in every aspect in our lives and we intend to raise our child in the church as well.
Our Pets
We are blessed with two dogs in our home--Diesel and Dash. Diesel is a 16-year-old Mini-Boz (Miniature Schnauzer and Boston Terrier Mix). He is a very sweet-natured dog who loves when the kids in the family come over to play. He is a little slower as he gets older, but still tries to keep up. Dash is Ashley's mother's dog. He is a 10-year-old yellow lab. He loves to play in the backyard and play with his ball. He is super sweet and loving.
Our Musical Interests
We love all types of music. Whether riding in the car or cleaning the house, music will often be heard. We love going to concerts and try to go a few times a year. Although we love all types of music, our favorites are R&B and Christian music. Some of our favorite concerts have been Jonathan McReynolds and Gary Clark Jr.
Plans for Childcare
We are lucky to have our mothers helping with childcare after the baby arrives. With Ashley's mother living in our home and Daryl's mother who is retired living close by, we know our child will be in loving capable hands while we work.
