Watch Our Video

Hi from North Carolina! We’re Dave and Sarah, and we’re so happy you’re here learning a little about us. Dave is a pilot in the Air Force, and Sarah is a social worker who loves connecting with and caring for people. Faith and family shape everything we do, and our home is filled with laughter, music, and love.

We enjoy the simple moments like sharing a meal with family, watching a good game, or spending a Saturday outdoors. We look forward to creating those same kinds of memories with a child and filling their days with play, creativity, and encouragement.

We truly value connection and are open to ongoing communication in whatever way feels right for you, whether that’s scheduled visits, calls, or messages. More than anything, we hope this can be the start of a meaningful relationship built on understanding, trust, and care.

Our Life Together

We’ve been together for six years and married for five. Our story started at a church small group, where friendship quickly grew into something more. From the beginning, faith and family have been at the heart of our relationship.

We’re unable to have biological children, but adoption has always been part of our plan. Sarah adopted her older daughter years ago, and through that experience, she saw firsthand how beautiful adoption can be. It showed us that family is built through love, not biology, and that helped shape our hearts for growing our family this way.

When we’re not working, you can usually find us enjoying time together whether that’s catching a baseball game, going on ski trips, playing games with friends, or hosting Friday pizza and movie nights. We love an active, fun‑filled life but also value those quiet evenings at home.

We look forward to sharing ski vacations, cheering at baseball games, bedtime stories, and Sunday mornings at church with our child. We can already picture the joy of seeing the world through their eyes and creating lasting memories together.

About Sarah

Dave says: Sarah is one of the most trustworthy, dedicated, and loving people I know. She shows up for the people she cares about whether that’s as a wife, mom, aunt, or friend. Her faith runs deep and guides how she treats others, always with kindness and integrity. She’s easygoing, friendly, and has a fun, slightly sarcastic sense of humor that keeps life light and full of laughter.

Sarah works as a social worker, and she’s truly made for it. She loves walking alongside people during tough times and helping them see they’re not alone. Watching someone find hope or strength again is what fills her heart.

Sarah enjoys:

  • Thrifting
  • Baking cookies
  • Crafting and DIY projects
  • Watching true crime shows
  • Ski trips
  • Cheering for her favorite team, the OU Sooners

She can’t wait to share her love for creativity, fun, and faith with our child. She looks forward to baking together in the kitchen, making art projects, playing outside, and teaching them about Jesus and the importance of kindness and compassion.

About Dave

Sarah says: Dave is compassionate, steady, and one of the most supportive people you’ll ever meet. He has a calm, practical way of approaching life and a sense of humor that makes everyone feel comfortable around him. He’s smart and thoughtful—a deep thinker who loves learning new things and helping others whenever he can.

Dave serves as an Air Force pilot, and he loves the adventure that comes with it. He enjoys traveling around the world and seeing incredible views from above. His job has given him a deep appreciation for different places and people, something he looks forward to sharing with a child one day.

Dave enjoys:

  • Golfing (his favorite way to relax)
  • Working on home projects
  • Flying RC airplanes
  • Riding his motorcycle

He’s excited to share his love for adventure and the outdoors by taking our child golfing, teaching them to ski, and showing them that life is a gift to enjoy. Most of all, he looks forward to being an example of God’s love through his actions, faith, and the way he parents every day.

Our Family

Family means everything to us. We have three wonderful adult daughters: Ally (24), Zoe (21), and Mari (20), who fill our lives with laughter and love. None of our daughters live at home. Ally enjoys doing her nails and listening to Taylor Swift. Mari loves riding horses and reading. Zoe enjoys spending time with friends and exploring new places. Each of them brings their own joy and personality to our family, and all three are so excited to welcome a new sibling to love and spoil.

Our extended family is big, loud, and a little chaotic—in the best kind of way. Because of the military, we currently live a few states away, but we make it a priority to visit several times a year. Whether it’s a long weekend or a holiday, time with family always includes plenty of food, laughter, and games.

Adoption has already touched our family in many ways. Sarah’s cousins were adopted, Dave was raised by his stepdad, and Sarah adopted Ally from foster care when she was four. Our whole family is incredibly supportive and eager to grow through adoption again.

We look forward to sharing favorite traditions with our child. We can’t wait for family trips, summer pool parties, cookouts, and big holiday gatherings filled with cousins, food, and fun. More than anything, we’re excited for them to experience a life surrounded by family who will love them deeply and cheer them on every step of the way.

Our Home in North Carolina

Our home is a two‑story brick house in North Carolina. The neighborhood is surrounded by tall pine trees and friendly neighbors. It has four bedrooms, plenty of space to play and relax, and a large backyard with a deck that’s perfect for dinners outside. One of Sarah’s favorite spots is the front porch swing, where she loves to drink her morning coffee or unwind in the evenings and enjoy the peaceful view.

We live near a small lake that’s great for fishing or kayaking, and there are several parks close by for walks, picnics, and playground time. It’s a welcoming community that feels safe and is an ideal place for a child to grow up and make memories.

We already have the perfect room ready to become a nursery and can’t wait to fill it with warmth, laughter, and the special touches that make a house feel like home.

Our Promise

From the bottom of our hearts, we want you to know how honored we feel that you’re considering us. We promise your child will always know how deeply they are loved by many. In our home, they will be accepted for exactly who they are, surrounded by patience, support, and unconditional love.

We will give your child a stable, nurturing home where faith and family are at the center. We’ll teach them about Jesus, encourage kindness, and help them grow into a compassionate, confident person who values hard work and treats others with respect. We’ll cheer them on in whatever they love—whether that’s sports, art, music, or something entirely their own—and make sure they have every opportunity to learn, grow, and dream big.

As parents, we plan to set loving boundaries, celebrate progress over perfection, and fill their days with laughter, learning, and grace. We’re excited for the simple joys—movie nights, ski trips, baking together, and Friday pizza dinners—but mostly, we look forward to the countless small moments that make a family: bedtime stories, hugs after hard days, and the comfort of knowing they’re always safe and loved at home.

Our faith is the foundation of our life together. We attend church each week, and our relationship with Jesus shapes how we love, make decisions, and care for others. We hope to model that same love and grace to your child, creating a home where faith isn’t just talked about—it’s lived out daily through prayer, forgiveness, and joy.

We’re open to building a relationship with you in whatever way feels most comfortable. However that connection grows, we want it to be genuine and respectful of your wishes.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Family Traditions

We love family traditions like praying before meals, seeing Christmas lights, playing games on Christmas Day, and making Sarah’s mom’s homemade noodles every Thanksgiving.

Top 3 Thoughts on Parenthood

First, it’s both challenging and incredibly rewarding—often at the same time. The hard moments are real, but so are the meaningful ones, and they tend to outweigh everything else.

Second, keep it fun and don’t take everything so seriously. Let go of rigid expectations, be present, and enjoy the little moments as they come.

Third, lead with care and humility. Be quick to apologize, focus on connection, and nurture first—those are the things that really stick.

Plans for Our Child’s Education

We plan to stay actively involved in our child’s education by supporting their learning at home as well as in school. We want to help them build the skills and confidence they need to do well, while also encouraging curiosity and independence.

We’ll look for a strong local school and stay engaged in their experience there. As they grow, we’ll encourage them to explore post-secondary education or a trade that fits their interests and strengths. Most importantly, we want to support their passions and help them discover what they enjoy and what motivates them.

When I was little I wanted to be...

Sarah wanted to be a nurse and Dave dreamed of becoming a pilot—so one of us made it happen!
