Hello! We’re so glad you’re here. We are a multicultural family of four, overflowing with love, laughter, and joy. We believe every child is a blessing, and we delight in the wonder and curiosity that children bring to each day. We are thoughtfully and prayerfully hoping to grow through adoption, and we want to honor you, your story, and the journey you’re on. We are praying that God will guide you as you make this choice. We would be honored to share our love, home, and family with your precious little one. Our home is a safe, nurturing, and joyful place where your child will always be cherished.

Who We Are

We have always dreamed of welcoming a child into our family through adoption. We got married in 2014 and five years later moved to Ecuador to serve as missionary teachers, where we also volunteered in a food ministry supporting refugees. This was one of the most meaningful experiences of our entire marriage. We took Spanish lessons, enjoyed South American cuisine, attempted to communicate with the people around us, and treasured every moment of this unique experience.

We enjoy many outdoor activities, including hiking, walking along quiet nature trails, biking, and camping. Our favorite indoor hobbies include playing board games, reading together, playing music duets, and catching a few episodes of Call the Midwife. Our life together is filled with warmth, laughter, and curiosity. We are excited about our adoption journey and look forward to meeting you. We desire to nurture, guide, and celebrate another child, and to watch them thrive surrounded by an atmosphere brimming with love, faith, and joy.

About Elliott

Jacqueline says: Elliott is a hospital chaplain serving in hospice, bringing calm, compassion, and comfort to patients, families, and staff. He is a former police officer with nearly a decade of service, which has given him extensive training in crisis response, emergency care, and conflict resolution. He is a devoted father, loving husband, and faithful follower of Christ. He is playful, present, and deeply engaged in creating meaningful memories within our family. His steady, patient, and calm presence creates a feeling of safety.

His hobbies include fitness, exercise, reading, studying theology, and cooking. As a Korean American and Army brat, he experienced a multicultural upbringing and spent much of his childhood and youth living abroad in Korea, Germany, and the Middle East. He is an excellent cook who loves bringing international flavors, especially spicy dishes, to life in our kitchen. He also plays the piano, sharing the joy of music with others and bringing laughter into our home. Elliott is easy to talk to, deeply loved by his family, and is trusted and respected by everyone who knows him.

About Jacqueline

Elliott says: Jacqueline is a former elementary teacher and is now a stay-at-home mom who works from home as an online professor. Jacqueline carefully balances her professional work around the children’s daily routines, early mornings, nap times, and evenings, so she never misses a moment. She loves creating keepsake quilt blankets from baby pajamas and outfits, baking special themed birthday cakes, carefully documenting each milestone in photo books, planning family-centered learning activities, and finding meaningful ways to celebrate and cherish special occasions. She is loving, gentle, patient, and kind. Her days are spent teaching, exploring with the children, and creating a home that feels safe, warm, and comforting. Her passions include teaching, playing piano and violin, writing, reading, baking, sewing, and gardening.

Our Family

Our Children: We are blessed with two precious children who bring joy into our everyday lives. Elliott II, our adventurous and creative four-year-old, loves reading, art, science, baking, exploring outdoors, and going on family adventures. Julianna, our tender-hearted three-year-old, adores dress-up, tea parties, singing, and caring for her dolls. Both children love spending time with their baby cousins and dream of welcoming a new sibling into our family.

Our Extended Family: We have a large extended family on Jacqueline’s side, as she is one of ten children. Weekly gatherings with her sisters and our children’s ten cousins often include art projects, outdoor play, and seasonal traditions like birthday celebrations, fruit picking, Easter egg hunts, and beach trips. On Elliott’s side, our multicultural family enjoys smaller, warm gatherings with roots in Korean, Italian, and immigrant American cultures. Halmoni (grandmother in Korean) prepares special Korean feasts for each grandchild’s birthday, and she and Pop Pop shower the children with love and thoughtful gifts. They are also our trusted caregivers for appointments and date nights, and the children love spending time with them. We look forward to sharing this abundance of love with our next child.

Our Home in Virginia

We live in a warm and welcoming 3-bedroom home on 1.5 peaceful acres in rural Virginia. We live near parks, libraries, a creek, and several historical national parks. One of our favorite places to relax is outdoors on our large wrap-around porch. We recently built a three-level wooden play set that is perfect for big imaginations and outdoor adventures. Inside, our home is bright, cozy, and filled with natural light. Music flows through our halls from a variety of instruments that we all enjoy playing. Books are another big part of our everyday life. Every room has a bookshelf, and the children’s rooms overflow with beautiful books from around the world. We make reading together a special part of our daily rhythm. Another favorite space in our home is our schoolroom. This is the space where we grow plants from seeds, examine nature collections under our microscopes, and create artistic masterpieces. Our home is a place of love, stability, and belonging. We hope that anyone who walks through our door feels the warmth and peace we’ve intentionally created, and we would be honored to share that same sense of safety and joy with your precious child.

Our Promise

We want you to know that you are seen, valued, loved, deeply respected, and that you will not walk this journey alone if you choose us. We promise to walk alongside you with prayer, love, and kindness, offering support with open hearts and genuine care. We promise to raise your baby in a nurturing home where they feel loved, cherished, and accepted every single day of their life. We will honor you by speaking of you with gratitude and respect, ensuring your child always knows their adoption story. We will protect them, encourage them, and celebrate who they uniquely are, giving them the stability, joy, and belonging every child deserves. We will root their life in faith and hope, modeling kindness, empathy, and integrity, and surrounding them with a community that loves them deeply. Above all, we promise to be present and supportive through every season, every challenge, and every joy, so your child grows knowing they are precious, capable, and never alone. More than anything, we promise that your child will grow up knowing this truth: they are wanted, they are chosen, and they are loved by many.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Our Musical Interests

We enjoy hymns, classical music, and pop opera; everything from Chopin, Clementi, and Bach to Phantom of the Opera, Amici, Il Divo, and Josh Groban. We are both accomplished pianists, and Jacqueline is also a violinist, clarinetist, and soprano. Music is a big part of our home. Elliott often plays movie soundtracks on the piano while Jacqueline sings along, and Elliott II dances around the room with Julianna.

Our children love to dabble in music as well and have several instruments of their own to experiment with. On any given day, you might hear them scratching away on their little violins, plinking on their mini grand piano, tooting on the recorder, or joyfully banging on the drums. Music not only fills our home with laughter (and lots of noise!) but also supports their developing brains helping with memory, coordination, and creativity. They already have instruments picked out for their future baby sibling, and talk excitedly of the family music they can make when their duet turns into a trio.

Our Faith

Our faith is at the center of who we are and how we live. We both serve in Christian ministry and are raising our children to love, honor, and serve the Lord. Our faith is the foundation we stand on. It has carried us through our hardest moments and our most devastating losses, and it continues to guide us every single day.

Because of our faith, we approach adoption with deep respect for you and the decision you’re considering. We believe every child is created with purpose and loved by God, and we would honor that by providing a home filled with love, stability, and grace. If you choose us, we would raise your child with the same values we hold dear, teaching them kindness, faith, and compassion, and reminding them always of their adoption story that brought them into our family.

Our Journey to Parenthood

Our journey to parenthood included years of unexplained infertility and five pregnancy losses, including an ectopic pregnancy. Those experiences were heartbreaking, but they strengthened our marriage and deepened our empathy. They also showed us that every child is a miracle and taught us to cherish every moment we’re given.

We were eventually blessed with our two children, Elliott II and Julianna, and becoming their parents has been the greatest joy of our lives. The challenges we experienced before parenthood shaped us in meaningful ways and affirmed our desire to grow our family through adoption. We are ready to welcome another precious child with open hearts and a home filled with endless love, gratitude, acceptance, and joy.

Our Pet

We recently rescued a female cat named Willa. She is strictly an outdoor cat and lives on our covered porch in an adorable, heated cat home. Willa is playful, cuddly, and incredibly welcoming. She runs to greet us when we pull into the driveway and often follows us on family walks around the neighborhood. She loves being petted and comes running the moment she hears her name. Willa enjoys the company of both children and adults, and she is especially cuddly with Elliott and Elliott II.

In Closing

In closing, thank you for taking the time to learn about our family. Please know that our hearts and prayers are with you as you navigate the many emotions and difficult decisions ahead on this journey. If chosen, we promise to provide a safe, stable, and loving home where your little one will be cherished always. We are here with open hearts and would be honored to walk this path with you, in whatever way you feel is right.
