Hi, we’re Hannah & Eric from Texas! Hannah is a high school dance teacher, Eric is a data analyst, and we have been together for 7 years. We are an energetic and fun-loving couple who are ready to be hands-on parents. We look forward to raising our child with the love & support of both of our families, as well as making lasting memories through travel, play, and faith.
It has always been our plan to form our family through adoption — in fact, Hannah has wanted to adopt since she was 14 years old! We want to support you in whatever way you feel comfortable, whether that be more hands on or hands off. We will always share this special connection and want you to feel respected and cared for as we go through this journey together.
About Us
We were set up on a blind date while we worked at Walt Disney World. We had so much in common, from our love of Marvel movies to growing up in the same town! We’ve been together for 7 years and married for 3. Our plan has always been to adopt — we have never thought of another way to build our family!

Hannah is kind, caring, funny, and hardworking. As a dance teacher, she loves to work with children, and the best part about her job is getting to see her students shine on stage — seeing them have the confidence to perform makes it all worth it!

Eric is funny, lighthearted, genuine, and is usually called a “gentle giant”. Eric works as a Sales Operations Analyst, which is a fancy way of saying he works on spreadsheets all day.

Our Family
Our families are both so excited for this adoption journey!

Part of her family lives close by, while the others are spread out in & outside of the country.

They all live within 45 minutes of us.
We try to get together with both of our families as often as possible. We’re so excited for them to share special family traditions with our child, such as Secret Santa, yearly Disney trips, and lively rounds of Uno.
Our Home in Texas
Our home is in the suburbs of central Texas. It’s a two-story craftsman with a fenced in backyard and cozy patio, complete with a grill and fire pit — perfect for roasting hotdogs & making s’mores. Our house is directly across the street from our neighborhood park, and we often see families in the neighborhood gathering there.
We have an elementary and middle school located in our neighborhood as well, both roughly a 10-minute walk away. Our home has 4 bedrooms, and we already have one set aside as the baby’s room! It connects to a large secondary living room, which will be perfect for playtime, movies, or building forts. We have to say, we truly love our home — it’s a little big for us now, but it’s the perfect size for a growing family!

More About Our Family
Our Childcare Plans
While we both currently work, Hannah will be retiring from teaching dance to be a full-time stay-at-home mom once the baby arrives. Eric also has a flexible work from home schedule, and will be able to be more involved with daytime activities on Mondays and Fridays. On occasions when we do need childcare, we have multiple close family members in the area who have already offered to come by and babysit.
Weekends With Us
We like to take our weekends to rest & prepare for the coming week ahead!
-Friday: Our weekends usually start out with us both coming home from work a bit early, visiting a restaurant and then a long walk around our neighborhood -- we try to go on one every night!
-Saturday: We like to sleep in and cook a big breakfast together! After that, we might lounge around the house, run errands, shop, or meet up with friends/family. We usually finish our Saturdays the same way we end our Fridays, and if there’s time left, we might read or occasionally watch a movie or some TV.
-Sunday: We attend church every week, followed by Eric doing yardwork, Hannah cleaning the house, and often ending with Eric grilling for dinner.
Our Bucket List
The top 3 items on our joint Bucket List are:
1. Becoming parents!!
2. Traveling Europe, especially the Mediterranean (Greece, Italy, etc.)
3. Visiting all 30 Major League Baseball Stadiums, and exploring the cities they’re located in
Things We Admire in Each Other
What Hannah admires in Eric:
- Good Humor -- Eric is one of the funniest people you’ll meet and always keeps situations light with a well-timed joke or jab, often at himself.
- Willingness to Always Have Fun -- He’s always ready to join in the fun, whether it’s going with the flow on vacation or being dressed up as a princess by our nieces.
- Attention to Detail -- This keeps our lives on track. He has a spreadsheet for everything, from finances to travel, and updates them regularly to make sure he is providing for us and keeping us safe.
What Eric admires most about Hannah:
- A Natural with Kids -- Kids seemingly gravitate toward her, and she quickly becomes their favorite person. It’s a common joke on my side of the family that we all disappear in our nieces’ eyes as soon as Aunt Hannah arrives!
- The Ability to Stand Firm -- She will not give an inch if something conflicts with her values, and is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in.
- Organization -- She's super organized and has great attention to detail in everything, from home decor to event planning.
