Watch Our Video

Hi, we’re Eric and TaraJo! Thank you so much for taking a moment to get to know us. We want you to know how deeply we respect you.

Our home in Indiana is a warm, steady place and full of laughter and joy! We’re excited to grow our family and become first-time parents. More than anything, we are ready to welcome a child into a life filled with unconditional love, support, and a community that is already praying for and waiting to celebrate them. Please know that if you choose to connect with us, your role will always be honored as a beautiful part of your child’s story, in whatever way feels safest and healthiest to you.

Meet Us!

We met online in 2021 and quickly discovered a connection that felt easy, natural, and completely meant to be. Over the last few years, we’ve built a life together that we love! We are happily married, proud dog owners to 3 sweet dogs, and we are each other’s best friend.

We really love the little things in life, whether we’re spending cozy evenings with our dogs, trying out a new recipe in the kitchen, or unwinding on the back patio on a crisp fall night. We also love to travel, explore new places, and discover different cultures–adventures we truly can’t wait to share with a child.

Our relationship is grounded in kindness, respect, and a lot of laughter, because a good sense of humor makes everything better!

For us, adoption is a calling. After learning that having biological children wasn’t possible for us, we realized that adoption was the deeply meaningful path we were meant to take to build our family. We are so excited to open our hearts and our home to a child, offering them a safe, steady, and loving place to grow up.

A Little About Eric

TaraJo says: If I had to sum up Eric, he is dependable, patient, and my safe harbor. He is completely steady, always there when I need him, and has a gift for making me laugh on the hardest days. He’s also chronically early to everything (I guess some habits from Navy never leave you), so we are always the first to arrive at any gathering with family or friends!

Eric works as a flight simulator technician, maintaining full-motion simulators for commercial jets. He loves solving problems and can fix almost anything. I know he’ll be the dad who easily fixes every broken toy and helps build the most epic Lego creations. Whether he’s explaining how a massive airplane flies or helping a child build their own imaginary gadgets, he can’t wait to spark a child’s curiosity about how the world works.

When he’s not working, Eric loves watching football, playing video games, and just hanging out with our dogs. I know he is going to be an incredible father. I already picture him teaching our child about sports, build blanket forts, and teaching them how to ride a bike.  Making them feel safe, happy, and deeply loved every single day. He has a gentle, quiet strength that kids are naturally drawn to, and he is ready to dedicate his whole heart to raising a child. Watching him step into fatherhood is going to be the greatest joy of my life.

A Little About TaraJo

Eric says: TaraJo is one of the kindest and most compassionate people I have ever met. She has a way of making everyone feel instantly seen, heard, and valued. She also has a great sense of humor and the most incredible memory (like knowing the outfit she wore the first day of 2nd grade). I know she’ll use that gift to cherish and remember every single milestone and tiny detail of our child’s life.

TaraJo works from home as a healthcare software clinical analyst, bringing her background as a nurse into her daily work. Having her home during the week is such a blessing, and her nursing heart means she is naturally built to comfort scrapes, soothe fevers, and make our home a safe, nurturing place to grow. She is also very active in our church and is always first to volunteer whenever someone needs a helping hand.

When she’s not working, TaraJo loves working on a needlepoint project, trying out a new recipe, and reading. I know she is going to be an absolutely incredible mom. She is so ready to cuddle up for bedtime stories, encourage a child’s biggest dreams, and be the loudest cheerleader in the stands at every single game, recital, or play.

Home Sweet Home, Indiana

We love the community we’ve built here in Indiana and feel it’s the perfect place to raise a family. Our neighborhood is quiet, safe, and filled with young families, making it easy to imagine a childhood filled with bike rides, neighborhood friends, and afternoons playing outside. We enjoy fishing and feeding the ducks at the nearby ponds, walking to the playground, and spending time at local farmer’s markets and outdoor community events.

Our cozy three-bedroom ranch sits on a corner lot with a fenced backyard where the dogs love to play and a patio that’s perfect for relaxing together. Inside, our open-concept kitchen and living room are the heart of our home, a place where we gather, cook meals, laugh together, and make memories. We can’t wait for the day those spaces are filled with story time, family traditions, and the joy of watching our child grow up surrounded by love.

Meet Our Crew

Although our families live outside Indiana, they are just a drive away and we see them often. We also have a close circle of friends nearby who feel like family. Together, we’re surrounded by people who love, support, and celebrate one another.

Our child will be welcomed by grandparents, great aunts and uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends who are excited to love them and be part of their life. We can’t wait to share family traditions like Eric’s hometown Fourth of July parade and fireworks show, and TaraJo’s family Christmas morning cinnamon roll extravaganza.

We feel incredibly grateful for the village surrounding us and know our child will always be supported, celebrated, and deeply loved. From the very beginning, our child will be embraced by a community that is excited to know them, celebrate them, and cherish the unique story that brought our families together.

Our Promise To You

We promise to raise your child in a home filled with love, laughter, faith, and encouragement. Every day we’ll remind them how deeply they are loved and support them as they grow into the person they are meant to be.

We believe every adoption story is unique, and we’re committed to building a relationship with you based on trust, respect, and open communication. We will always speak of you with love, honor your place in your child’s story, and embrace the traditions and values that are meaningful to you.

As parents, we’ll encourage kindness, curiosity, and compassion while sharing our love of sports, travel, and family traditions. Above all, your child will always know they are deeply loved, unconditionally accepted, and surrounded by people who are cheering them on.

We would love the opportunity to get to know you and answer any questions you may have. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Our 4-Legged Loves

Our home is filled with love—and quite a bit of fur, thanks to our three dogs: Rhett, Mac, and Archer.

Rhett, a long-haired Chihuahua, is full of playfulness and charm. He’s always ready for a game but is just as happy curled up in a lap. Mac, also a long-haired Chihuahua, is our laid-back cuddle bug who gladly spends the day snoozing beside us. Archer, our Golden Retriever puppy, is sweet, a little dopey, and still learning about the world.

They bring so much joy to our lives. They’ve been around children and do wonderfully, gentle, curious, and patient. Rhett and Mac politely accept their pets before wandering off, while Archer is eager to play. We can’t wait to watch them grow and bond with our future child, adding even more love (and laughter) to our family.

Our Faith

Faith is the foundation of our home. TaraJo was raised in a Christian household, while Eric came to faith later in life and is continually growing in his walk with the Lord. Together, we pray, serve, and encourage each other in our spiritual journeys. No matter what your own beliefs are, you and your child will always be treated with compassion, kindness, and respect.

We attend a church regularly. TaraJo leads the hospitality team, serves in the children's ministry monthly, and helps lead a small group, and we both enjoy connecting with others in our church community.

Our hope is to raise our child in a loving Christian environment, teaching them about God’s love, providing a solid Biblical foundation, and encouraging them to seek Christ in their own lives. From bedtime prayers to celebrating Easter and Christmas with meaning, we look forward to making faith a natural, joyful part of their everyday life.

The Travel Bug

We share a love for exploring new places! Whether it’s a weekend road trip or a once-in-a-lifetime cruise. Together, we’ve enjoyed the beaches of Florida, taken an unforgettable Alaskan cruise, and road-tripped to Louisiana with plenty of memorable stops along the way.

We often visit Eric’s dad’s riverfront home, which offers breathtaking views, and make regular trips to see TaraJo’s family, enjoying the scenic drives as part of the adventure. We’re passionate about food, culture, and history, and we love learning about the stories behind the places we visit.

Travel will always be a part of our family life. We are excited to help our child experience the world, whether it’s their first trip to the beach, a visit to a historical landmark, or sampling new foods in a faraway country. With only two U.S. states left for Eric to visit, we have a family goal to see all 50 together—and beyond that, we look forward to many international adventures as well.

Our Plans For Childcare

We believe in being as present as possible during the early years. Eric works full-time outside the home but is home in the mornings, while TaraJo works full-time from home. This will allow us to maximize time with our child and keep them home with us. We imagine slow mornings with breakfast and outside walks together when it's warm!

When we do need outside help, we’re grateful to have TaraJo’s parents ready to step in. They are both retired and ready to make frequent visits and help care for their grandchild. Our church also offers a wonderful childcare program that we would utilize if our work arrangements changed.

Balancing work and family time is very important to us, and both of our workplaces value and encourage this. We’re committed to being hands-on parents, building strong bonds, and creating a loving, stable environment where our child knows they are safe, cherished, and supported.

In Closing

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us and see a glimpse of the life we hope to share with a child. We are praying for you as you move through your decisions on what is best for you and your child. If you choose us, we promise to provide a home filled with faith, love, laughter, and support. Your child will always know where they came from, how loved they are, and the special role you play in their story. No matter what you decide, please know that we are praying for you and wish you strength, clarity, and peace in the journey ahead. If you would like to connect or learn more about us, we would be honored to talk with you.
