Hello! We are Gaspar and Lydia, a multi-cultural family from the great state of Texas! We are excited to get to share about our family. We are close-knit and enjoy spending time together, making memories and laughing at our kids’ corny jokes. We have a large extended family who is all close by and spend time together celebrating birthdays and holidays. Due to some medical issues, we are unable to have biological children. We both have a legacy of adoption in our families, and we are not strangers to the process. We feel God has been stirring in our hearts that it is time to grow our family, and we are so excited to continue this journey!
¡Hola! Debido a algunos problemas médicos, no podemos tener hijos biológicos juntos. Ambos tenemos antecedentes de adopción en nuestras familias, por lo que el proceso no nos es ajeno. Sentimos que Dios ha puesto en nuestros corazones el deseo de ampliar la familia, ¡y estamos muy emocionados por continuar este camino!
About Us
We have been together for almost 8 years. We were introduced through a mutual friend in our church. We quickly realized we wanted to be together and commit ourselves to each other. We are dedicated Christians who seek God first in all things. We own a small family business that has allowed us the opportunity to travel and to be part-time stay-at-home parents. We have two daughters currently living at home, with the youngest being adopted, and look forward to adding to our family through adoption again!
Things we love:
Get to know Gaspar
Lydia says: Gaspar is my best friend and my partner. He is determined and dedicated to any task he sets his mind to. He is a great father and has spent time as a single dad raising his older children on his own. He has a “dad” sense of humor that sometimes drives our children crazy, but he makes me laugh every day. He is passionate about sharing the blessings that God has given us and has a desire to support ministries that care for children and the elderly. He is looking forward to teaching our next child how to operate equipment and how to work hard, and also spending time in nature together.

Get to know Lydia
Gaspar says: Lydia is my best friend. She stepped up and took in not only me, but also my children from a previous marriage when we got married. Life without her would be impossible. I am captivated by her dedication to her faith. She has brought peace into our house. She is the glue that holds our family together. She is looking forward to getting to spend time cuddling and reading books to the new baby and inspiring them to have a love of reading and learning.

Pets: We have many pets and livestock. In our home we have Penny, a miniature schnauzer. We have outdoor cats, dogs, sheep, and a horse.
Explore Our Home in Texas
We have a 5-bedroom, two-story home in the Hill Country of Texas. We live in a small town with easy access to a major city where we like to shop and explore. Our area is famous for stunning wildflowers in the spring, and we take lots of day trips to drive around to see the sights. Our home has a large playroom and a dining table for 12, and we are able to accommodate our very large families for parties and holidays. We have a pool that we love to spend the hot summer days in. We have acreage, but have a section fenced off around the house with lots of room to run and play.
Our Promise
We are so excited to be able to share the blessings God has given us with any future children. We are excited to pass on our family traditions as well as cultural traditions. We can’t wait to instill a love of traveling, trying new foods, and experiences. We promise to love and nurture our newest addition with love and grace as we grow together.

More About Our Family
Adoption in Our Family
We are so excited to continue our adoption journey! Our youngest daughter, Layla, is adopted. Also, we both have a legacy of adoption in our families; Lydia has an adopted brother and both of Gaspar’s parents were adopted.
Our Faith and Values
We are both Christians. We attend a Baptist church in our area. It is important to us that our family is centered around Christ. Our girls are both very active in our church community.
We value hard work and hope to instill the love of working hard and a job well done into our kids. We strive to teach our children dedication in everything they do. We want them to know love and how to love those around them.
Our Bilingual Family
Gaspar is bilingual speaking fluent Spanish and English. He is working to teach our girls Spanish, and we hope to be able to teach our future children Spanish as well. Our girls both have an interest in learning new languages as well. Avery would love to learn Korean and Layla wants to learn French.
Our Family Traditions
-Birthday Pinatas
-Christmas Eve Pajamas
-Easter Cascarones (confetti eggs)
-Friday Night Movie and Pizza
-Showing animals in our local stock show
In Closing
We are excited and ready to open our hearts and our home to another blessing from God. We cannot wait to share our interests and our traditions as they grow, as well as keeping ourselves open to learning their traditions and interests. If you would like, we would love to get to know you better!
