Hello from colorful Colorado! We’re Jacob and Gianna, and we’ve been happily married for over 5 years. Our son, Giorgio (4.5 years old), has filled our lives with immeasurable joy, and we’re excited to grow our family through adoption. While we’ve been unable to expand our family biologically, we feel deeply called by God to pursue this journey of adoption. We are truly grateful for your consideration of both adoption and us as potential parents. If you choose to move forward with us, we will welcome ongoing contact and would be honored to include you as part of our family.
About Us!
We met in college by pure chance during the very first weekend, but we didn’t start dating until the end of our senior year. From the start, we bonded over our shared love of God and the outdoors. Whether it’s hiking, skiing, or simply enjoying a walk or dinner outside, we’re always up for an adventure. But we also cherish cozy nights in—cooking homemade pasta and sauce or getting hooked on a new TV show.
We are so thankful to have many of the same friends we met in college, as well as new friends we have made at work and from our church community and Bible studies. Most of our free time is spent enjoying the energy and laughter of our sweet son, Giorgio. We can’t wait to welcome a new baby into our family and soak up all the newborn cuddles and squeaks. Giorgio is especially excited to have a little sibling he can share all his fun and crazy ideas with!
About Gianna
Jacob says: Gianna is an amazing mom, always the ultimate comforter and biggest supporter for Giorgio and me. Her infectious smile and joyful nature light up any room. Known for her sense of humor, she loves making others laugh and is quite the jokester. As a talented cook, she honors her Italian heritage by creating delicious meals for the family.
Gianna works as a clinical ethicist at a hospital, which is a flexible job that allows her to think critically while also having time to walk Giorgio to school and spend quality time at home. She recently earned her master’s degree in health humanities.
Growing up, Gianna sang in church, school, and a cappella choirs, and she and Giorgio are always singing in the car! She can’t wait to sing our new baby to sleep. Gianna also loves staying active, whether biking or weightlifting, and shares the joy of movement with Giorgio. One of her hobbies is gardening, where she enjoys quietly tending to her herbs and vegetables, finding joy in the small, everyday changes.
About Jacob
Gianna says: Jacob is an incredible dad and role model for Giorgio. He is the rock of our family, especially during tough times, and a spiritual leader in our home. Though quiet by nature, Jacob is always attentive to the little details, making everyone he meets feel like a close friend.
As a software engineer and manager, Jacob’s mind is always thinking creatively, solving problems, and staying ten steps ahead. His flexible schedule allows him to be home when Giorgio gets back from school, where they enjoy wrestling and playing games before and after dinner. He is excited for EVERY part of adding another child– from diapers and crying to playtime and cuddling.
Jacob loves long-distance running, finding the solitude outside to be the perfect way to clear his head. He’s also passionate about sports, especially Colorado teams, and while he doesn’t cook he LOVES to grill meat!
Our Son & Extended Family
Our biggest blessing, besides each other and our faith, is our son, Giorgio. He fills every moment with joy. Sensitive and attentive, he loves comforting his friends and chatting with anyone—especially if they’re wearing a cool superhero shirt! He’s a huge fan of dinosaurs, trucks, candy, and anything his dad likes.
We’re also fortunate that most of our extended family lives in Colorado. Gianna’s family is nearby—her mom helps care for Giorgio some days so Gianna can work. We gather every Sunday for mass and weekly family dinners with Gianna’s sister and parents. Jacob’s family is about an hour away, but most of his siblings and nieces/nephews live in Colorado too. We love getting all the kids together for playtime and can’t wait to add a new baby to the bunch.
We feel beyond blessed for our biological families but also view our community as family. To quote Saint Mother Theresa, “The problem with the world is that we draw the circle of our family too small.” We have an extended family of friends from college, church, work, and our neighborhood that consists of people we feel called to love and invest in every single day.
Our Home Sweet Home in Colorado
We both grew up in Colorado and feel so fortunate to raise our family here. Our home is just 30 minutes outside the city and an hour from the mountains, offering the best of both worlds. We own a spacious five-bedroom home and already have all the things we need for the nursery. We can’t wait to show our baby his or her room!
We love our quiet neighborhood, which is perfect for biking and walks. Whether we’re eating dinner or playing in the backyard, we spend a lot of time outside. We’re also lucky to be close to great parks and within walking distance of Giorgio’s school. We live about 15 minutes away from the zoo and children’s museum, which always make for a fun outing.
Our Promise
Our promise to you is to give your child all of our love and devotion. We will do everything in our power to nurture and guide them to become the best person they can be. We will always honor and affirm their dignity and worth as a child of God. With gentleness and compassion, we will also provide the firm and loving guidance they need to thrive. Our commitment is to offer a life full of love, adventures, opportunities for growth, and a robust education.
We are open to maintaining contact with you in whatever way feels most comfortable for you. We hope to share photos with you (and receive some photos from your life!) as well as write letters. We would also love to schedule trips to visit. However we can support you in this process is a major priority of ours. We understand that a part of this child will always be rooted in you, and we will constantly remind our family of your loving and kind decision. Thank you for considering us!
We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family
Why Adoption
God has called us to expand our family, and through this calling, we've experienced the heartache of infertility and miscarriage. These challenges have been difficult, but they have also led us to a place of deep discernment and hope, guiding us toward adoption. We are certain that our hearts will overflow with love and joy for the child who is placed in our arms and in our home by God’s will.
We feel incredibly blessed by the opportunity to welcome both a child and their biological family into our lives. We believe this journey will be one of mutual love, connection, and growth, and we are excited for the new chapter ahead, full of grace and hope.
Plans for Childcare and Education
Gianna will be home almost all of the time with the baby! She currently spends a lot of time with Giorgio and is able to walk him to school each day. Gianna will continue to work (part-time), and on the few days Gianna needs to go into work, her mom (whose grandma name is "Noni") will watch the baby. Jacob's job is extremely flexible, and he gets home at 4:00pm every day for wrestling and playing with Giorgio. While predominantly at home, we also will prioritize our children's socialization and education. We plan to send our children to private school and are saving to pay for their college.
Our Faith
We are incredibly grateful for the many blessings in our lives, but most especially for the gift of faith. It’s in both our moments of joy and times of challenge that we find ourselves grounded in our relationship with God. Our faith guides not only the decisions we make, but also the priorities we set for our family.
We are fortunate to be part of a loving church community, where we share deep, meaningful relationships with friends who walk alongside us in every season. Whether we’re praying together, studying the Bible, or simply supporting one another through life’s highs and lows, our faith provides a foundation that strengthens us and keeps us connected. It’s this same faith we look forward to sharing and nurturing as we expand our family.
Day in Our Life + Day of Adventure
Our favorite thing to do and the most important thing to us is to spend time with one another. On an average day, the two of us try to wake up early for some time to ourselves (whether we spend it praying, reading, or working out!). When Giorgio wakes up, the fun starts! Jacob heads off to work and Gianna and Giorgio eat breakfast, read, paint, and most likely make a mess of Legos everywhere! Giorgio will either head to school or to the zoo or museum with Gianna. After work, school, or outings, everyone comes home for a home cooked meal and more time together. We end the night with wrestling, reading, prayers, and maybe an episode of our new favorite TV show.
On our more adventurous days, you can find us exploring a nearby hiking trail or perhaps driving out of state to a National Park we haven't seen before. Time in the car is spent listening to audio books, singing, or playing made-up word games. We get extra special time together, but also get to soak up the sun and enjoy the great outdoors. We love to experiment and try new restaurants when we're out and about, but have a huge affinity towards pizza as well!
In Closing
We are incredibly thankful for your consideration of us as adoptive parents and are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers during this season of your life. We are filled with hope throughout this process, and hope to soon have a baby we can love on in our arms. We are also beyond excited to watch Giorgio become a big brother—he will undoubtedly be the most protective and loving sibling.
