Hello! We are Jacob and Reagan, a Christian couple who enjoys weekend outings, reading, volunteering, going on walks, playing board games, and spending quality time together. We have been together for four delightful years. We have always discussed wanting a family and have dreamed of becoming parents from young ages. After experiencing infertility, the thought of adoption was placed upon our hearts and has flourished. After much prayer, we feel confident that this is where the Lord is leading us and are so excited to welcome a child into our home through adoption!

About Us

We met at our church and became close friends immediately. We then realized there was something more and began dating. Reagan was drawn to Jacob’s kind heart and could tell that he loved the Lord. Jacob says he was drawn to Reagan’s loving personality. We have a beautiful life together surrounded by our love for one another and our love for the Lord.

Things we enjoy:

  • Watching good movies while snacking on popcorn
  • Metal Detecting
  • Spending time with friends and family
  • Serving together
  • Going to the beach or mountains
  • About Jacob

Reagan says: Jacob has many wonderful qualities about him. He is hardworking and provides well for our family and home. His hobbies include reading, exercising, hiking, making meals on the grill, and fishing. He is most excited about sharing his passion for fishing with our child, and looks forward to the excitement our child will feel when they catch their first fish! Jacob is also very humorous; he loves telling jokes to others and making them laugh. Something I love about him the most is how caring his heart is. Jacob is a selfless man and puts others before himself. If I have a rough day, he will drop everything to care for me and pray over me. He is also a natural with children; he adores them and enjoys playing games with children of all ages. Because of these qualities (and many more) I know Jacob will be an amazing father and role model to our children.

    About Reagan

Jacob says: Reagan is such a joy to have as a spouse! She is easy going and loves the simple things in life. She is very fun to be around and do things with. Her hobbies include coloring, reading, taking long walks, hiking, fishing and picking wildflowers. She is looking forward to spending all day caring for and nurturing our child as a stay-at-home mom. She is also looking forward to reading Bible stories to them and sing songs to them. One of her biggest qualities that stands out is her compassion. Whether it’s for others who are hurting or going through a hard time, or even animals, she has a tender heart for them. She has a huge heart that cares for others. Reagan already has such a mother’s heart. Watching her with the kids at the preschool, or even at church, she is a natural. She is SO excited to become a mom, and she is going to make such a good one. I can promise that you and your child will be SO loved by us both.

    Our Home in Virginia

We have a cream-colored ranch style home on a little over an acre and a half with a flat, spacious yard, which will be perfect for our little one to roam. We live in an area where there are lots of young families with small children, so our child will always have a friend to play with. We live close to a big playground, a local river with a beach area that is perfect for families, and many parks that we look forward to taking our child to. We are located between two large cities that have many options for kids’ activities. Our home has three bedrooms and also features a large living room, dining room, and kitchen. We have an unfinished basement that we hope to furnish in the near future; it has lots of open space that will make a great play area or extra living space. We have a room already set up as a nursery, which is decorated with a Noah’s Ark theme. The nursery is complete and ready, along with plenty of clothing for either a boy or girl. We love our home and are very blessed by it. It is a simple home with lots of beautiful wood features inside. We also have an attached garage and detached shop on our property.

    Our Family

Both sides of our family live close by. Jacob’s parents live about 10 minutes from us with a large amount of land for our child to run around and explore. Reagan’s parents live about 25 minutes from our home in a safe, quiet neighborhood. Jacob has three older siblings (two brothers and one sister), and Reagan has one older brother. Our family has been so supportive since they heard of our decision to adopt and we are thankful to have them close by, especially for the holiday seasons. Each year, we take a vacation with each of our families. Jacob’s family has always gone to Myrtle Beach for the 4th of July, where we like to sit on the beach and watch fireworks. With Reagan’s family, we typically find somewhere different to go each year. We recently went to Kentucky to see the Ark Encounter. We look forward to bringing our child on our family trips!

    Our Promise

Our promise to you is that we will raise your child in a loving, stable home and will walk alongside them every step of the way through every season of life. They will be supported and cherished for who God has made them to be. We commit to having an ongoing relationship with you, if you desire. We promise to be the parents God has called us to be and teach/lead your child by example.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

    More About Our Family

    Our Family Traditions

We have started a few family traditions and can’t wait to create more as our family grows. During the Fall season, we go to a pumpkin patch that is 30 minutes from our home. The pumpkin patch has many unique pumpkins to choose from. There are also plenty of activities there for young children, including a petting zoo, bounce pad, corn maze, playgrounds, hay bale pyramid, and a corn pit.

Around Christmas time, we attend a large walk-through light show that is very popular for our area. On Christmas morning, we put together and decorate a gingerbread house. This was our first family tradition, and we look forward to it every year. We feel great joy as we think about our child joining us in making a gingerbread house around the beautiful Christmas tree lights.

    A Typical Week With Us

Currently, we both work during the week. Reagan works Monday-Thursday as an assistant preschool teacher and has Friday’s off. Reagan is also the school librarian; every Wednesday she reads the children a Bible story in the library room. Jacob is the youth leader at our church. He is usually at the church office from 8:30-3 each day. However, his job is flexible, allowing him to work from home whenever needed. When we are blessed with a child, Reagan will become a stay-at-home mom, which she is extremely excited for, as it will be a sweet time to bond with our son or daughter.

On the weekends, we usually try to find something fun to do together. Our favorite things are going to the zoo, hiking, fishing, nature walks, and yard sales. Each Sunday we attend our church and enjoy a time of fellowship after the service.

    Ways We Volunteer

We both have a heart to serve others in any way possible. We like to find ways to volunteer, not only for our community but for other areas as well. Each year, our church puts on a free Thanksgiving meal event and Fall festival. Jacob coordinates both of these events and does a wonderful job. There are many opportunities in our community to serve meals for special events or to families in need. We also take the youth group on a mission trip each year during the summer for a few days. On these trips, we serve many meals, sort through items to be delivered to fundraising thrift stores, prepare and serve desserts, and yard work. We thoroughly enjoy every chance we get to serve, and we look forward to sharing this with our child.

    In Closing

We look forward to welcoming a child into our loving, nurturing home and spending the rest of our lives watching them learn and grow. We believe children are a precious gift and will not take our responsibility as parents lightly. We cannot wait to have our family grow by two extra feet! Our hearts are ready; we look forward to speaking with you.
