Hello from coastal North Carolina!
We are Jeremy and Tonya. We have shared life together since high school, and after years of marriage, military service, building a home, and growing together as a couple, we are excited to begin our next adventure: becoming parents. Our faith has guided us through every season of life and continues to shape the home and family we hope to build. We look forward to filling our home with family traditions, laughter, new experiences, and all the joy and chaos that comes with raising a child.
About Us
Our story began when we met as freshmen in high school. What started as a friendship eventually grew into a relationship that has carried us through many of life’s biggest moments. Over the years, we have learned, grown, and built a life together rooted in faith, trust, laughter, and a deep commitment to one another.
We enjoy spending time outdoors, whether that means kayaking, exploring local trails, renting a pontoon boat for a relaxing day on the water, or simply enjoying the natural beauty around our home. Time in nature helps us slow down, reconnect, and appreciate life’s simple moments.
One of the things we appreciate most about our relationship is how well we complement each other and help each other grow.
Like many families, our path to parenthood has not unfolded exactly as we once imagined. After working through infertility and years of military moves, we reached a season of life where we knew we were ready to focus fully on growing our family through adoption.
More than anything, we are excited to share our lives with a child. We look forward to cheering from the sidelines, helping with school projects, discovering new interests together, creating family traditions, and being present for all the little moments that make
About Tonya
Tonya works as a hospital pharmacist and has earned multiple advanced degrees along the way. She is passionate about helping others and enjoys the challenge of solving complex problems. While she is highly accomplished professionally, the people who know her best would describe her as humble, caring, and down-to-earth.
One of Tonya’s greatest passions outside of family is reading. Our home library continues to grow every year and includes everything from classic literature to modern fiction. Tonya also enjoys baking; she loves to make cupcakes, bread, and cheesecakes.
What Jeremy admires most about Tonya is her quiet strength. She approaches life with integrity, kindness, and a strong moral compass. Whether she is helping a patient, supporting a loved one, or working through a challenge, she brings a thoughtful and steady presence to those around her. She is deeply loyal to the people she loves and always willing to lend a helping hand.
About Jeremy
One of the things people quickly learn about Jeremy is that he loves to create. Whether he is designing a woodworking project, improving something around the house, growing his small business, or preparing a meal for family and friends, he finds satisfaction in building things that bring people together.
Jeremy spent two decades serving in the Marine Corps, beginning his career as an enlisted Marine before earning the opportunity to become an officer. Along the way, he developed a passion for leadership, mentorship, and helping others succeed. While he is proud of his military service, he is equally excited about the next chapter of life—one focused on family, entrepreneurship, and being present for the moments that matter most.
What Tonya admires most about Jeremy is his willingness to embrace challenges and his dedication to the people he loves. He approaches life with compassion, curiosity, and a strong sense of purpose. Guided by his faith and values, he believes that success is measured not only by accomplishments but by the impact we have on the people around us.
Our Family
Family has always been important to us, though we grew up with different traditions. Jeremy remembers long road trips to big family reunions, with his grandfather at the heart of it all. Tonya’s childhood was shaped by her mother’s commitment to annual vacations, even when finances were tight. Those memories of togetherness, whether at a family reunion or on a beach, are something we both cherish.
Tonya’s mother, sister, and brother are active parts of our lives, and we see them once or twice a year. We enjoy either them coming to our home or doing a road trip to Georgia to see them. We also spend one holiday a year with Jeremy’s mother, father, and brother.
As adults, we have created traditions of our own. One of the most important ones is making time for one another, whether that means a date night together or simply sharing a meal at the end of a busy day. Family dinners are especially important to us. We believe some of life’s best conversations happen around the dinner table, where everyone can slow down, put away distractions, and talk about their day. We look forward to creating that same sense of connection and belonging for our child.
Our Home in North Carolina
We live in a family-friendly rural community in North Carolina that offers the perfect balance of neighborhood life and natural beauty. Our home is a two-story, four-bedroom house that was built in 2024 with a fenced-in backyard.
One of our favorite things about our home is the backyard. Over the years, we have worked to create a space that is both relaxing and welcoming—a place where family and friends can gather, children can safely play, and everyone can enjoy the outdoors. Whether we are spending time on the patio, enjoying the view, or hosting family and friends, it has become one of our favorite places to be.
What we love most about our home is not the house itself, but the life we hope to build there. We can already picture family dinners around the table, holiday traditions, backyard games, laughter shared with friends and neighbors, and all of the everyday moments that transform a house into a home.
Our Pets: We have two male cats from the same litter who are cute and cuddly. We also have a dog that we dress up and helps hand out candy to the kids on Halloween.
Our Promise
Thank you for taking the time to learn about us and consider us as you make plans for your child. We are honored to share a little of our hearts with you.
If entrusted with the privilege of raising your child, our promise is simple: they will always know they are deeply loved.
We promise to provide a home filled with faith, laughter, encouragement, and stability. We will celebrate successes, support them through disappointments, and remind them that their worth is never measured by grades, trophies, job titles, or accomplishments alone. We will teach them kindness, integrity, compassion, and the importance of treating others with dignity and respect.

More About Our Family
Our Thoughts on Success
One of the lessons our own lives have taught us is that there is no single path to success or fulfillment. Tonya pursued higher education and built a rewarding healthcare career through years of study and dedication. Jeremy followed a different path through military service, entrepreneurship, creativity, and building a business from the ground up. While our journeys looked very different, both taught us the value of hard work, perseverance, and believing in ourselves.
Our Traditions
More than anything, we want to build a home where traditions—big and small—are part of everyday life. From reading together to family dinners, from vacations (visiting the beach and the mountains) to holiday traditions (decorating for the holidays and dressing up for Halloween), we are excited to create new memories and continue building a family life centered on connection, love, and shared experiences.
Tonya's Thought on Becoming a Mom
Tonya looks forward to sharing her love of reading, learning, and discovery with a child. She cannot wait to read bedtime stories, encourage curiosity, help with school projects, and create a home where a child feels supported, loved, and free to become whoever they are meant to be.
Jeremy's Thoughts on Becoming a Dad
Jeremy is especially excited about becoming a father. He looks forward to bedtime stories, arts and crafts projects, family adventures, teaching life lessons, and helping a child discover their own unique talents and interests. He hopes to raise a child who knows they are deeply loved, supported, and capable of accomplishing anything they set their mind to.
In Closing
Thank you for considering us. We would be honored to welcome your child into our family and spend a lifetime helping them grow into the person they are meant to be, always knowing they are deeply loved.
