Watch Our Video

Howdy from Texas! We’re Stacia and Jim, and we’re ready and excited to welcome a child into our lives through adoption. We share a warm, happy home life centered around quality time with our friends, family, and sweet dog. We’re grateful to be considered as adoptive parents as you make plans for your baby. We’d love to get to know you, and we welcome the opportunity to learn what you want most for your child.

About Us

Our marriage is built on a foundation of deep friendship, love and endless laughter. Stacia is originally from New York and Jim is from Texas. We had several times we could have met in our past – like when we both lived in Washington, DC at the same time, but our paths didn’t cross. We met through online dating, after Stacia moved to Texas, and we immediately clicked. From the very beginning, we knew we wanted to share our lives together and build a family. On our very first date, we talked about our hope to adopt one day. Yes, really – our first date! We’re ready to welcome a child into our hearts and experience parenting together.

We love making our house a home. We fill our lives with travel, cooking, sporting events and quality time with friends and family. We cannot wait to share all of our traditions with our child. We’re looking forward to all of the adventures – and daily routines! – while watching them grow up surrounded by a warm, supportive network of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins who live within 10 minutes of us.

We regularly enjoy:

  • Hosting friends and family for dinner and fun game nights
  • Watching basketball and football games at home or going to baseball and soccer games together – there’s plenty of sports teams in our city and we love cheering them on!
  • Walking our dog, Leo, in our neighborhood park and along the nearby lake trail
  • Traveling to new cities, visiting National Parks, and taking trips to the beach
  • Watching HGTV and getting inspired for our next home project (including the nursery)

Meet Stacia

Jim says: Stacia has this incredible, compassionate heart that instantly makes everyone feel welcome and cared for. What is so admirable about her is that enjoys hosting our family dinners, friends for special moments and loving everyone in our life. She is going to be a great mom. She is my best friend and I can’t wait to raise a child with her!

Some of the things Stacia loves:

  • Baking delicious cookies and trying out new recipes in the kitchen
  • Swimming laps
  • Kayaking on the lake
  • Pilates
  • Getting inspiration for house updates and creative projects
  • Reading or listening to audio books
  • Watching reality TV or documentaries

Meet Jim

Stacia says: Jim is my best friend! He was meant to be a dad. Jim is kind, supportive and fun-loving, and he is always the first to pitch in whenever friends or family need a hand around their house. I’m excited about growing a family with him by my side!

A few of Jim’s favorite activities include:

  • Golf
  • Watching football
  • Grilling and perfecting a smoked brisket
  • Weight lifting
  • DIY projects
  • Training for an upcoming half marathon
  • Jogging along the trail near our home
  • Cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies
  • Sneaking our dog extra treats!

Our Family

We’re surrounded by a wonderful, loving extended family. Family means everything to us, and we’re incredibly lucky to live so close to all our future child’s future grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins! We love spending quality time with our young niece and nephew, who are so excited to welcome a new cousin.

We have family stopping by our home all the time, whether it’s to watch the football game on tv or to come by for dinner. Sometimes we’ll make the rounds at each house to drop off some chocolate chip banana bread (one of Stacia’s go-to recipes) or to help out with our niece and nephew for an hour or two.

Family traditions we love:

  • Sunday night family dinners
  • Driving through neighborhoods to look at the Christmas lights
  • Baking holiday cookies & making gingerbread houses
  • Family birthday parties
  • Trick or Treating with the cousins
  • Saturday morning walks along the trail, followed by warms muffins at our favorite local coffee shop on the lake
  • Summer beach trips to Maine

Having consistent, deeply rooted relationships with family is so important to us, and your child will grow up wrapped in that same constant love and support.

Our Home and Community in Texas

We love our home, which is tucked away in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood that feels like a peaceful retreat, while still being close to all the activities of downtown. Our community is surrounded by wonderful parks and playgrounds, and full of families with children. Our future child will have plenty of neighborhood friends to grow up and play with!

Inside, our home has plenty of space for a cozy nursery, and it opens up to a big backyard where we can’t wait to add a swing set one day. One of our favorite spots is the back deck, where we frequently have dinner or sit out there with a great book.

Our quiet neighborhood offers a wonderful contrast to the vibrant downtown area just minutes from our home. Our city has plenty of child-friendly activities. The downtown library hosts events for kids frequently, and there is always a ton of family-focused fun happening across town. It truly gives us the best of both worlds: a bustling, active community to explore by day, and a peaceful, safe neighborhood to come home to.

Our Promise

We promise to love, protect and guide your child unconditionally, ensuring they always feel safe, secure and surrounded by constant laughter, snuggles and lots of love. Our home will be a place of genuine warmth, joy and encouragement, where we’ll read together, share everyday moments and give them the unwavering support they need to thrive.

We’re dedicated to providing your child with a strong educational foundation and the resources to fuel their curiosity. We promise to expose them to a wide variety of life experiences, and guide them with strong values. Our goal is to nurture exactly who they are meant to be. We promise to listen to their unique voice, support their individual passions, and give them the confidence and freedom to decide their own path in life.

We’re open to discussing the kind of communication that feels right for you, whether that means exchanging letters and photos, sharing milestones, or planning occasional visits. Your child will always grow up knowing the love and care behind your decision. We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. More About Our Family

Our Bucket List

-Visiting every National Park. We have a National Parks "passport," and we love stamping each new trip.
-Finding the perfect chocolate chip cookie in our city. Until then, we'll taste test all of them!
-Building a beach house in Maine.
-Swimming in the Maldives.
-Driving up the Pacific Coastal Highway.
-Cross-country trip by train.

Our Faith

Faith and family are closely intertwined for us, and we love attending church together with our extended family. We often go to the kid-friendly family service, which is a wonderful space where our niece and nephew can freely interact and participate. The church is incredibly welcoming to children and offers a variety of engaging activities designed just for them throughout the year. One of our favorite traditions is coming together to watch the annual children’s Christmas play. We look forward to raising a child in this supportive, loving community where they can grow and thrive.

Things We Love About Where We Live

-Hiking, biking and running trails within 2 minutes of our home.
-Multiple lakes within 15-30 minutes of our home for plenty of water activities.
-Public pools and natural swimming holes all across town + a massive outdoor splash pad for kids at our gym.
-Plenty of museums, libraries and live events.
-All of our parents, siblings and niece and nephew live so close to us!

Our Dog, Leo

Our sweet Havanese, Leo, is a huge part of our everyday lives and will be so great with a little one at home. He's hypoallergenic, incredibly gentle and absolutely amazing around children of all ages. Leo has never met a human (or dog!) he didn’t instantly love! Whether we’re out for a walk in the neighborhood or relaxing at home, his joyful, (sometimes cheeky) and friendly spirit brings so much light to our family.
