Watch Our Video
Hi from the hills of Pennsylvania! We are Joe and Courtney, and we could not be more excited to become first-time parents through adoption. Both of us come from close, strong families and close friends that are big parts of our lives. We love sports; if we are not attending a sporting event, we are probably watching one of our favorite teams on tv or talking about sports with each other. And no matter what we are doing, our dog, Nash, is probably involved. Our life is filled with love and great relationships that we would be honored to share with a child of our own. We would love the opportunity to get to know you and for you to get to know us.
About Us
We met 8 years ago in a friend’s front yard and have now been married for 5 years. Our relationship journey began as long distance, and it taught us how to truly value our time together and how important communication is. We are each other’s best friend, and the first person we call for all the good and bad news. With our struggles with infertility, we further appreciate the love and respect within our marriage.
As a couple, we enjoy watching sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins both at home and in person. We enjoy traveling and exploring new places, from the beaches to the mountains. While we love to be on the go, we also enjoy spending time at home. We often build puzzles or play games together on the farmhouse table that Joe and his dad built for us. It is also typical to find us working on a home project inside or outside.
We are excited to grow our family and to share the life we love with our baby!
About Courtney
According to Joe: Courtney is a natural caretaker who is always trying to make those around her feel loved and welcomed. She is a kindergarten teacher who has mastered the ability to make young children who are nervous about attending school for the first time feel at ease. This skillset has spilled over into all aspects of her life; she is incredibly kind, caring, thoughtful, and loving. She is a habitual gift-giver who loves to dote on her many Godchildren, nieces, and nephews. When she is not taking care of others, you can usually find her reading a book, building a puzzle, or catching up on her favorite tv show with Nash (our dog) snuggled by her side. Courtney has loved and cared for other children for many years, and now she is more than ready to become a mother to one of her own. She is excited to share her love of reading through bedtime stories each night and visiting the library for story time with our child.

About Joe
According to Courtney: Joe is a supportive partner and is always ready to give a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors. As a civil engineer, Joe manages projects that are for the betterment of his company and coworkers. He takes pride in his work and is often sought after to be a part of upcoming projects. His dedication to his work transfers to his dedication to our family; he skillfully balances work and play. You can often find Joe working on a project in our basement workshop, outside tending to our yard, or playing golf with our fathers and friends. He is a key fixture in the lives of our nephews, nieces, and Godchildren through attending their important events, but also being the fun uncle who is ready for any type of play. Joe’s patience, love, and willingness to grow are just a few of the qualities that will make him an incredible father. Joe is looking forward to making memories through play, such as building block towers and throwing a ball in the backyard, with our child.
Joe’s Hobbies and Interests are:
Our Family
Our family is very important to us. Joe has two sisters who live out of state: Jessa and her family in Texas and Jaila in Utah. Joe’s parents and large extended family still live close by in Pennsylvania. Courtney’s brother, Colton, and her parents also live nearby in Pennsylvania. Both of us have been blessed with wonderful families and parents who have set great examples of how to lovingly raise children. Courtney’s parents do not have grandchildren yet and Joe’s parents’ two grandsons live in Texas, so our baby will get a lot of love and affection from grandparents and extended family!
Our Home in Pennsylvania
We live in a Pennsylvania suburb. Our raised ranch house is located on a private loop. We chose our home because of the quiet street and the ability to be close to family and friends. Our home has a large, open living space on the main floor with four bedrooms located just down the hall. One of the bedrooms is in the process of becoming the nursery! Along with the upstairs living space, we also have a large basement where we like to watch movies and sporting events. We enjoy hosting gatherings with our family, friends, and neighbors. Outside, we have a backyard that allows our 4-year-old dog, Nash, to run and play, as well as space to grill and enjoy meals outdoors. Our home is close to the public library, a variety of parks, and schools from preschool through high school.
Our Promise
Our promise is to give your child the most wonderful life that we possibly can and to raise them to be an incredibly kind, caring, and hard-working individual. We promise to parent them with unconditional love and to teach them to share that love and respect with others. Their life will be filled with the encouragement and support to follow their dreams and to explore their interests. Additionally, we promise to participate in an open adoption with regular updates and when possible, some planned visits. With that, we promise to always speak of you with the highest regard and to share that your love is what led to their adoption journey.
We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family
Our Dog, Nash
We have one dog, a Vizsla, named Nash. Nash is four years old. He is very loving, affectionate, and extremely well-behaved. He has spent time around the young kids in our lives, our nieces, nephews and friends’ children, and is good with kids. He is very athletic and loves playing with a toy rope, going for walks, fetching a ball, and exploring outside.
Plans for Childcare
Both of us have full-time jobs, but our parents have offered to help with childcare during the workday. Both sets of parents will share caring for our child for 1-2 days per week. For the remaining days, we will utilize an in-home daycare provider. She is located close to Courtney’s school and takes care of other teachers’ children. With Courtney being a teacher, she will have summers off, as well as extended holiday breaks.
Plans for our Child’s Education
Both sets of our parents instilled the importance of education in our lives during our childhood. We plan on doing the same – we will make sure that our child understands that education is important and works hard in school. However, we also will support our child with any post-education path that they wish to pursue, whether that be a college, a trade school, or some other plan that they wish to pursue as an adult.
Our Family Traditions
- An annual beach trip to the North Carolina coast with Courtney’s family
- A 4th of July celebration filled with food, fireworks, and visits with Joe’s extended family
- A Christmas Eve meal of the seven fishes following Christmas Mass
- Each birthday is celebrated with hanging decorations and photos in the kitchen to start the day with reminiscing over our favorite shared memories
