Josh & Jenna

Hello from Connecticut! God placed adoption on Jenna’s heart at an early age, and she even spoke to Josh about wanting to adopt on our first date. We are eager and excited to learn more about you and the future you envision for your baby. We would also love to share anything you’d like to know about us.

We struggled with infertility for several years and are ready more than ever to start our family. We know God has already chosen a baby for us, and we have been praying for that baby and his/her birth mother.

Our Story (As told by Jenna)

We have been married for 8 years, but have known each other a lot longer! We grew up going to the same church. It wasn’t until after college, though, that we started dating.

We look forward to sharing these things and many more with our child. We are excited to share big and small moments together as a family. We look forward to all the firsts for our baby, and we also look forward to everyday life.

About Jenna

Jenna is a kindergarten teacher at a nearby Christian school. She loves teaching and especially loves her students. Jenna would say the best part of her job is making a difference in the lives of her students and being able to tell them about Jesus.

According to Josh: Jenna is the most caring individual you will ever meet. She always has a smile on her face and looks for the positive side of things. She always puts others before herself. Jenna has a great sense of humor and every day spent with her is full of laughs. She is kind and supportive to her friends and family. She loves to help others in any way she can.

Jenna’s interests:

Jenna is looking forward to taking our baby on walks with our dogs and teaching him or her how to play basketball. She is also excited to teach our child how to cook and to have movie nights together.

About Josh

Josh is a District Parts and Service Manager for Subaru. Josh has always loved cars and enjoys his job.

According to Jenna: Josh is selfless and caring. He always puts my needs above his own and makes sure I am taken care of. He is my safe space, and I never have to worry about being cared for. He is kind, funny, warm and inviting to all who know him. He is persistent and will fight hard for the people he loves. He is my best friend, and I am better because of him.

Josh’s interests:

Josh is looking forward to taking our child to car shows, teaching him or her how to golf, and spending time together as a family.

Our Family

 We have lots of extended family! All of our family lives close by, except Jenna’s dad and stepmom.

Our family is very involved in our lives and is extremely supportive of our decision to adopt. They are constantly checking in on us and praying for us during this journey.

While we do spend holidays together and go on vacations, we also go out for dinner during the week or just stop by each other’s houses to check in with one another. We are blessed to have a wonderful and supportive family.

Our Home in Connecticut

We live in a 3-bedroom ranch in the suburbs of Connecticut. The street we live on has a dead end, so it is very quiet. Our house is cozy and has plenty of space for what we need right now. Our kitchen and living room are open to one another, which makes hosting much easier.

Outside, we have a large fenced-in backyard for our dogs to run around and for our future child to be able to play one day. We have two dogs, Duke and Paxson. They are both black labrador retrievers and are very friendly. They are great with kids and love to play fetch and go swimming. We also have a fire pit in our backyard and enjoy having friends and family over for a bonfire and to make s’mores.

We live close to lots of restaurants, shopping, and parks. There are many hiking paths nearby, as well as splash pads and other outdoor activities.

We love New England because there are lots of things to do in different states within a few hours from each other. In the summer there are many lakes and oceans we like to visit and in the winter the ski slopes aren’t too far away.

Our Promise

We promise to love your baby and to cherish every moment spent together. We will do everything that is in the best interest of your child. We will raise your child with our Christian beliefs and values. Your child will attend church with us and will have a private Christian education. Your child will also have higher education opportunities later in life.

We also promise that your child’s adoption story will never be a secret. Adoption is something we are very proud of, and he/she will know their adoption story all their life. If you are willing and comfortable, we would also like to share picture/video updates with you as they grow. We would like to keep in contact with you however you’d like, but we will completely follow your lead on this.

We want you to know we think the world of you already! We know this is not an easy decision, and we are praying for you and your baby daily.
