We are Joshua and Tiffany, or airport buddies as we like to call ourselves. Our marriage has brought new hobbies (scuba diving, photography, videography), exposure to different cultures (we’ve traveled to a dozen countries together, Thailand being our favorite) and a love that we never thought possible.
Our adventure expanded last year when we got the last-minute call there was a baby in need of a family and we were chosen! Our little family of three has been the greatest gift and we are now ready to expand our hearts and home to share the life we’ve built with another beautiful child.
Who We Are
Our journey together has been nothing short of crazy and adventurous. Together we enjoy traveling to new places, cooking up something delicious in the kitchen, kayaking and scuba diving, playing games with our friends and family, and just living life to the fullest! Besides deeply loving each other, we really like each other and have built a life rooted in authenticity, service, fun, and new discoveries.
Since before we even met, we have had a heart for adoption. For us, our desire to adopt is birthed from a deep belief that every child deserves a home where they are cherished and loved. We feel the call from God to care for children in need of a family and welcome them into ours, just as He has welcomed us into His. Adoption has given us the rich opportunity to live out our faith by offering hope and love to a child. We have been so fortunate in our life, and we want to share all we have been given with our children. We’ve built a life we treasure, even more since bringing our son home. There’s a special blessing only a child can bring, and we cannot wait to welcome another child to our family!
Who Is Tiffany? (written by Joshua)
Tiffany is one of the most incredible women in the world. She’s a stunning woman with a deep emotional understanding of who people are as individuals. Her smile lights up the room and she has a joyful charm that makes you feel like family as she welcomes you into our home. She has the wonderful gift of hospitality, decorating our home each season or holiday, and making it a warm and welcoming environment. She’s an exceptional cook and I love how she likes to break out singing and dancing in the kitchen while playing her favorite music.
She loves:
- Traveling to new places
- Spending time with her family & friends
- Cooking new cultural recipes
- Beaching and soaking up the sun
- All things coffee, pumpkin spice, & pink
- Working out & teaching Pilates
Why she’s an amazing mother: Tiffany is the kind of mom that everyone dreams of because of her deep love and nurturing personality, her sense of humor, and her positive attitude. She is supportive, trustworthy, dependable, and servant hearted. She is a ton of fun too! She makes each day fun for our son by cooking with him in the kitchen, playing at the park together, reading to him, and smothering him with all the love possible. I love watching her teach our son how to cook, take him exploring outdoors, showing him how to build heathy relationships, and celebrating him through every milestone. Another child will be beyond blessed to have her as a mother (I know our son is!).
Who Is Joshua? (written by Tiffany)
Joshua is one of the kindest, most servant-hearted men I have ever met. He’s incredibly skillful with technology, anything mechanical, working with his hands, and even knows his way around the kitchen. When I first met him, what I loved most was his authenticity. He’s brilliant, honest, hard-working, and creative. He is a natural for making people feel comfortable, creating calm in a chaotic situation, and bringing a smile to your face. He leads our family with courage, integrity, and gentleness. He loves his friends and family deeply, intentionally, and fiercely. I love watching him “nerd out” with his twin sisters over things that are way over my head.
He loves:
- Scuba diving & spearfishing
- Hunting up north with family
- Video editing & flying his drone
- Playing board games with friends
- Gardening & keeping all the plants alive
- Playing bass guitar on the worship team
Why he’s an amazing father: His humble, teachable spirit, his commitment to emotional health, how present and engaging he is, how much he loves and respects me, he shows up, he’s an amazing listener, he protects, provides, and never takes life too seriously. We became parents overnight and he was an instant natural. I love the way he plays with our son, takes him on adventures, and is so patient with him as he’s learning. I also love watching him teach our son to build things with his hands, learn to swim and scuba dive, how to make plants grow, and playing games with him. He is a present and strong father; another child will be so blessed to have him (I know our son sure is!).
Our Home & Community
We live in a beautiful city just a few miles from the Atlantic Ocean! This is a huge PERK since we are beach people. Our home is a cozy three-bedroom with plenty of space for adding another child to the family. We live next door to a beautiful park we enjoy walking in, and our townhouse is close to the pool, which is perfect since our son loves to swim. We are surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature here, and lots of tall trees. Another thing we love about living here is our amazing community. We have been blessed with such a wonderful group of people who love us, adore our son, support us, and challenge us. We are better people because of the impact they’ve had in our lives & they are all overjoyed to welcome another sweet child into the mix.
Our Family
Our Son: Last summer we had the incredible privilege of adopting our son, Brody. There are no words to describe all the joy we felt when we held him in our arms! He’s now a year and a half old and the happiest little boy. He loves food, playing outside, hanging with Papa, puppies, going to the park, and being in the water. Both of our families adore our son and cannot wait to have another precious little one to spoil.
Extended Family: We both come from loud, fun, Cajun-cooking, food loving families. Joshua is the oldest of three siblings (twin younger sisters) and was raised in New Orleans. Tiffany is the second born out of four children, with an older sister and two younger brothers. She has roots in Louisiana, but her family relocated to northern Michigan (Go Blue!). Her siblings all have children (10 nieces and nephews)! We both love taking them to the movies, going to Universal Studios, and just spending time with them, and they love playing with Brody! Family is super important to us, and we are thrilled to share our fun-loving family with our children. They are on cloud 9 to be welcoming another sweet babe into the family and have been incredibly supportive of our choice to adopt. Our children will not be lacking in love from our family and incredible community.
Our Promise
We have committed to building a marriage that is emotionally safe, always loving, prioritizes fun, forgives freely, and gives more than we take. We will raise our son (and our next child) in that same healthy atmosphere. We’re both dedicated to making sure our children feel accepted, chosen, and wanted; we currently practice this daily with our son. We create an environment where they can take risks, dream big, make mistakes without judgement, try new things, and become the best versions of themselves. We’re currently doing our best to model what humility, authenticity, empathy, loving others well, healthy communicating, and commitment to our faith looks like. We are (and will be) their biggest cheerleaders! Our hope is that our future child will have the gift of being connected and loved by more than just us, like our son has. Our heart is for you to be able to have a relationship with us and your child throughout the years, if that’s something you desire. It’s been a joy and honor to have the gift of raising a child and we take that responsibility very seriously.

More About Our Family
What Inspires Us
We both have a deep sense of purpose to help make the world a better place. That comes from our faith in Christ and our desire to bring hope to a hurting world. Giving back to others is something that renews our energy and brings us great joy. Learning new things inspires us and we are both passionate about continuing to grow into better humans. We believe experiences are way more valuable than things. We aspire to be a hopeful place for hurting people and to welcome our community around us in times of need as well. Some of our core values are to embrace challenges, choose joy, practice gratitude, be enthusiastic, walk in integrity, and always leave people better than we found them.
How We Spend Rainy Days
On a rainy day you'll find us snuggled up on the couch in our sweatpants watching movies, building a fort with our son, or reading the pile of books he’s picked out for us. We love to order Chinese or pizza and just lounge. Of course, Tiffany is drinking coffee by the cupfuls and is wearing fuzzy socks (she is so cold natured). We love sitting around playing dice, cards, or board games as well. Let's be honest, Joshua wins EVERY game we play since he's Mr. Lucky. We love some front porch sitting and watching the rain come down. We cannot wait until we can play games with our kids!
Fun Traditions
Every year we buy each other an ornament to represent the year that we've had or that marks a special memory from the year, and we’ve included our son in this now! We always stay up to watch the ball drop on New Year's Eve. We celebrate half-birthdays with donut holes and birthdays with donuts. We go and pick out a real Christmas tree every year! We always take off work on our birthdays. Tiffany collects salt and pepper shakers and coffee cups from all the places she's been. Joshua likes to collect decks of cards!

In Closing
We have built a safe, strong family and community that allows our son a healthy structure for growth and development. We have strong communication skills, self-awareness, and a deep level of empathy that allows us to love on each other, our son, and others well. We are also patient, reliable, willing to grow, and ask for help. We've had training in how to process emotions in a healthy way and apply those skills to our daily life. We love to give more than receive, and love freely expecting nothing in return. Also, we love to laugh and have a great sense of humor. Before we even met, we both had a heart for adoption. It's been an incredible joy for us to have taken this step towards our new adventure as parents! We cannot wait for our next child to join us in exploring new places, trying new foods from all different cultures, building lasting memories with friends and family, and learning new things together. We are so thankful to be on this journey and consider adoption a true gift, and we’ve been blessed to have already experienced it. We have so much love in our hearts to give and we cannot wait to share it with another child.
