Hello from sunny South Florida! We call a small beach town home, but some of our favorite adventures take us to the mountains for hiking, camping, and exploring the outdoors.
We are incredibly grateful that our paths crossed and led us to one another. Our family may not look traditional, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. As a blended family with two wonderful teenagers, our home is full of laughter, love, and plenty of fun.
We’re the kind of family that loves coffee, tacos, and a good board game—especially if there’s a little friendly competition involved! Whether we’re planning a new adventure, trying a new restaurant, or encouraging each other to step outside our comfort zones, we love making memories together and embracing life’s experiences.
Above all, we love deeply and wholeheartedly and are ready to welcome another beautiful child into our family.
Our Story
We met through mutual friends. We were married in a small, intimate ceremony surrounded by our immediate family and Ken’s children, Cooper and Reese. It was the perfect beginning to our life together.
We have been together for 6 years and married for 5 years, looking forward to many more! We find joy in the simple things together and that includes continuing to learn and adventure together.
Together we enjoy:
We know our greatest adventure awaits us in adoption and Ken is especially looking forward to playtime and snuggles, while Emily is excited for reading stories and rocking them to sleep.
Who is Emily?
According to Ken: Emily is kind, loving, and always puts her whole heart into caring for our family. She is structured and likes things to be organized, which keeps our daily life in good rhythm. She enjoys caring for our dog, loves a good workout, embraces her Italian culture by cooking family recipes, and brings joy to every moment.
Emily loves:
Why she is an incredible mother: Emily has a huge heart to love. She’s been an amazing parent to my two kids for the last six years, helping them grow and mature. She is a genuinely kind, thoughtful, and wonderful person to be around, and our conversations are always meaningful and enjoyable. She goes above and beyond to serve our family.
Who is Ken?
According to Emily: Ken is truly my best friend and favorite person. He makes me feel loved, safe, and completely accepted for who I am. I feel so grateful that I get to share this life with him. One of the things I admire most about Ken is the pride he takes in everything he does. He genuinely enjoys his work and gives it his very best every day.
Ken loves:
Why he is an incredible father: Ken is consistent, loyal, dependable, patient and caring. He is always looking for ways to serve others, whether that’s helping me with something around the house, lending a hand to a neighbor, or showing up for the kids. I also love how much fun he has with his kids! His quiet acts of kindness say so much about the kind of person he is, and they are just one of the many reasons that make him a fantastic father.
Our Family
One of the greatest joys of our marriage has been building our blended family together. We have the privilege of parenting Cooper (16) and Reese (14), who split their time between our home and their mom’s home. They are both such a blessing to us, and we love watching them grow into kind, thoughtful, and unique individuals.
Cooper enjoys bowling, competitive weightlifting, watching movies, and spending time with his friends. Reese loves crafting, baking, relaxing by the pool with friends, and learning Muay Thai. As a family, some of our favorite traditions include spirited games of Monopoly, Saturday morning walks, trips to our local market, and attending church together on Sundays. We cherish these simple moments and the memories we create together.
Our extended family is just as excited as we are to begin our adoption journey. We are surrounded by loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends, and wonderful neighbors who can’t wait to welcome a new child into our family. They have walked alongside us through the challenges of infertility, offering unwavering love, encouragement, and support every step of the way. We know that when we bring a child home, they will be embraced by a large, caring community that is eager to celebrate, encourage, and love them unconditionally.
About Our Home in Florida
We love our home in South Florida. We live in a sweet little neighborhood and are just a short drive to the beach. Our home is a peaceful place, often filled with laughter, music, and conversation. It’s cozy and we love spending time in the kitchen together. Our family is known for our dinner table chats that stretch long after the meal is finished. Out back, a small yard and porch give us space to sit, rest, take naps, or share meals outdoors. Out front, a basketball hoop is where the boys often play a quick game before dinner to see if “dad still has it.” We live in a neighborhood that has many other kids and families who enjoy bike rides and family walks. We love taking Saturday morning walks through a trail near our house, or there’s several parks nearby to escape to as well.
Our Promise
We have committed to creating a marriage and family that is emotionally safe, loving, full of adventure and laughter, prioritizes fun and serving one another. We are both committed to ensuring your child feels safe, valued, loved and chosen. We will create an environment for your child that teaches mistakes are how we learn, trying new things is scary but worth it, and being able to grow into their best self. We plan to model what authenticity, integrity, empathy, caring and serving others, and a commitment to our faith, looks like. We will always show up for them and be their biggest advocate. If you desire, we would love for you to have a relationship with us and your child throughout the years. It’s a joy and honor to have the gift of raising a child and we take that responsibility very seriously.
We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

Our family dog is named Willow. She is a rescue dog, and we believe her breed is a Belgian Malinois mix. Emily rescued her when she was just 9 months old and they lived on a farm together before we met. She is so loved by our family. She is wonderful with our kids and other dogs in our neighborhood.

Why We are Adopting
From the very beginning of our relationship, we dreamed about growing our family. We have always loved the idea of welcoming another child into our home and sharing all the love, laughter, and traditions we've built together. Like many families, our journey hasn't unfolded quite the way we originally imagined. After we were married, Emily was diagnosed with endometriosis. While many women with endometriosis go on to have children, it can make conception more difficult. As we navigated that season together, we spent a lot of time praying, talking, and considering what growing our family could look like.
Through that journey, we felt our hearts continually drawn toward adoption. It wasn't simply another path to becoming parents—it became the path that felt right for our family. We believe every child is a unique gift, and we would be honored to welcome a child through adoption. One of the greatest joys in our lives has been parenting Cooper and Reese together. Watching them grow, supporting them, and sharing everyday life with them has only deepened our desire to welcome another child into our family. Emily has also longed to experience motherhood in this special way, and together we are excited about the opportunity to love, nurture, and encourage another child as they grow.
Our Childcare Plans
While we both currently work, Emily will be retiring from her position at the University to become a full-time stay-at-home mom once our baby arrives. We are excited to dedicate our time and energy to creating a loving, stable home where our child feels supported every day. Emily is especially looking forward to this season of motherhood, one that she has dreamed of for several years.
On the occasions when we do need childcare, we are incredibly fortunate to have a wonderful support system nearby. Our families and close friends have already offered to help babysit when we need it.
In Closing
We have so much love to give, and we have worked hard to create a home where a child can feel safe, secure, known, deeply loved, and encouraged to chase their dreams. We prioritize strong communication in our marriage and are intentional about how we spend our time, making family a central part of our lives. We look for opportunities to serve others and add value to the people around us. We are surrounded by a strong community of friends, neighbors, and family who will be wonderful sources of love, wisdom, and support, not only for us, but for our future child as well. We are grateful for the way God has guided our story and led us to adoption. We cannot wait for another child to join our family and adventure with us to national parks and new places, trying new recipes together, making memories with family and friends, neighborhood walks, and learning new things together. We are so thankful to be on this journey and consider adoption a true gift for us. We have so much more love to give and cannot wait to share that with our next child.
