¡Hola! Hey! We’re Kevin and Heisi, a multi-ethnic couple living in the Sunshine State! We’ve been married for 6 years and have the cutest dog, Emma. We enjoy the tranquility of our quiet suburb while being just a stone’s throw away from the city, where there’s always something fun for families to do.
As a Christian couple, we cherish the time we spend with family and friends, and we love exploring new places together. Heisi also speaks Spanish, which adds an extra layer of connection to our experiences.
We are excited to grow our family! We can’t wait to connect with you and hear your story. Please feel free to reach out—we’d love to get to know you!
Our Story
We officially met nearly a decade ago, but knew of each other prior to that through mutual friends. We connected on social media where we eventually began playing Trivia Crack together. From those playful messages, a beautiful journey began. Now here we are, almost ten years later!
As a couple, we love:
- Traveling
- Hiking
- Playing with our dog
- Hosting game nights
- Spending time with family and friends
- Enjoying concerts
- Movie nights
- Cheering for our college football teams
Together, we aspire to open our hearts and home to a child whose birth mother has made the difficult decision that adoption is best for her child. We dream of creating a loving, nurturing environment where our child can grow into a kind and compassionate person. We look forward to sharing our love for God, our values, and our diverse cultural experiences. We’re also excited to teach them Spanish, embracing the richness of our backgrounds along the way!
Meet Heisi
Here’s a little about me: I’m passionate about reading, spending time outdoors, enjoying quality moments with friends, and all things Christmas. I love planning our travels, whether it’s a quick drive or a journey across the globe. Being part of a book club has blessed me with amazing friendships. As a licensed clinical social worker with an organ procurement organization, I have a flexible schedule that will allow me to be home part-time with our baby. I look forward to celebrating holidays with our child, game nights, reading with them, exploring the world, dance parties in the living room, and watching them grow and learn.
Written by Kevin: Heisi is truly one of the most incredible people you’ll ever meet. She’s caring and loves deeply, with a vibrant spirit that lights up every room. She’s the perfect road trip companion—she’ll keep the conversation flowing the entire way, no matter how long! Our relationship beautifully exemplifies how opposites attract. I’m drawn to sports, while she prefers to dive into a good book. She’s talkative and expressive, while I’m more of a listener. It’s not a cliché—she’s my Ying, and I’m her Yang. Heisi is so supportive of her loved ones, and I have seen first-hand how she is with her closest friends’ children. I know she will be a great mom!
Meet Kevin
A little bit about me: I’m passionate about sports (mainly football and basketball) and in my free time you can usually find me catching a game or playing video games. I am the cook in the family and have grown to love the creative portion of a recipe. Professionally I work in banking where I mentor others, and I appreciate the connections I make along the way. I’m looking forward to playing sports, trying various foods, playing video games, and watching Space Jam with our child.
Written by Heisi: I can honestly say Kevin is my best friend. He’s the calm to my storm, gets along with everyone, and has the most easy-going personality. He’ll never miss an opportunity to belt out Taylor Swift. He loves a good “dad” joke and truly loves to make people laugh. Kids gravitate towards his silly, fun spirit. He’s going to be an incredible dad!
Our Family
Family is at the heart of everything for us. Most of our relatives live within a 2.5-hour drive, including both sets of parents (though Heisi’s dad relocated to the Dominican Republic to be closer to her grandmother). Our brothers, grandmothers, aunts, uncles, and cousins are also all nearby, and Kevin’s older brother lives just 15 minutes away—he and Kevin are best friends. Heisi has a younger sister in North Carolina, and they stay close by talking weekly. We make it a point to spend time with family at least once a month, if not more.
Our family relationships are incredibly close and supportive. We know we can count on each other to show up whenever needed. Celebrating holidays together is something we truly enjoy, and we’re excited to create new traditions as our family grows. With such a diverse family, our meals reflect that mix, and we especially love Kevin’s mom’s dressing and red velvet cake. The holidays are a favorite time of year, when we snuggle up to watch Christmas movies (especially Hallmark films), take drives to admire Christmas lights, and enjoy plenty of eggnog and hot cocoa.
Our Home in the Sunshine State
We live in a nice suburban home in Florida that we purchased a few years ago. Our three-bedroom house has a spacious backyard, perfect for outdoor fun. Our neighborhood is safe, with a playground at the center where you’ll often see families out for walks, enjoying the park, or cruising by in golf carts. On Thursdays, we have food trucks at the park, and our neighborhood celebrates the Fourth of July with a fantastic fireworks show.
We’re proud pet parents to our sweet dog, Emma, a sassy Pomeranian-Yorkie mix who loves to greet every visitor with affection.
Our Promise
Our promise to you is to provide a loving, supportive, and stable home where your child can grow and thrive. We will always prioritize their well-being and keep God at the center of their lives.
We will ensure they always know who you are and welcome an open adoption where you will always have the opportunity to know them too.
We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family
Why We Are Adopting
At 16 years old, Heisi was diagnosed with Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome, which means she was born without a uterus and cannot birth a child. However, she has felt a calling to adopt since before her diagnosis. Together, we decided adoption was the route we both wanted to take to grow our family.
Our Friends Would Say That We Are:

En Español
Es muy importante para nosotros que nuestro hijo aprenda español. Para que puedan comunicarse con sus abuelos y bisabuelos y puedan ser parte de la cultura hispana.
