Hello! We love our life in rural Nebraska where we own a farm and raise cows. While Kiley works the farm (his lifelong dream!), Caitlin works in town as a grain merchandiser. We are active in our community and even serve on different community boards. It’s important to us to show our children what it’s like to work hard and to give back to the people around us. We love being parents to our son, Tucker, and have hoped to grow our family. Going through infertility challenges gave us clarity that God had another plan for us to add a child to our family. In our hearts we know adoption is right for us and we’d love to get to know you and your child through this process.

A Little About Us

Our Story, as told by Caitlin: I roomed in college with one of Kiley’s best high school friends. A few years after graduation I visited Kiley’s home town with my college roommate who took me to the town fall festival, where she introduced me to Kiley. We made a small bet about meeting up the next morning to gather bulls at Kiley’s ranch—Kiley didn’t think I would show up, but I got there a few minutes early. I won the bet and the rest is history. We have now been happily married for over 13 years!

As a couple we enjoy:
• Watching any Husker sports teams
• Going to see Rockies or Royals baseball games
• Golfing
• Coaching Tucker’s T-Ball team
• Taking our Ranger out to check on the cattle or crops
• Fishing

Life in Our Family

Our son, Tucker, is 5 years old and has a caring, tender heart. He is often the first to offer to help. Tucker is also a boy who loves to wrestle and roughhouse. He’s been hoping for a little brother or sister and will be such a great big brother. He’s always been good with other children, especially the babies and younger kids in his daycare. Our family is all about time together and Tucker really gets into the things we enjoy, as much as we get into his interests and activities. We are so excited about adding another child to the family fun!

Favorite things we do as a family:
• Golfing
• Swimming
• Reading books
• Playing cards or board games
• Watching the Huskers

Our Home in Nebraska

We live in a small, rural area away from the hustle of a big city. The town has a close-knit community who are welcoming and supportive of each other. We love that the school here has small class sizes so that the students get plenty of time with their teachers as needed, as well as a closeness with other children in their class. When we need a little “city fix,” we’re close enough to Denver, Lincoln, and Omaha to enjoy a weekend away.

Our home is out in the country on an 18 acre farm. It’s a ranch style house with a basement and second floor. The room across from our bedroom will become our future child’s nursery after we adopt. Outside there is a lot of room to run around and play, explore, and learn about the farm animals or wildlife.

From Our Hearts

It means a lot to be considered as adoptive parents for your child. We promise in our family your child would have a loving and safe environment to grow up in. We promise to be open with him or her about how we came together through adoption, and to keep the lines of communication open with you, if you want to stay in touch. We want them to know they can ask us questions and talk about their story. Our hope is for this child to grow up knowing how much love has surrounded them from the start.

We are very involved parents and enjoy being active together or having quality time at home. We will raise our children to be respectful, polite, and helpful to others. We’re both college educated and will encourage our children to learn and get the training or skills they need to pursue their career goals or interests.

We hope to get to know you more, if you’re comfortable, and would love to hear about the dreams and wishes you have for your child’s future. We’ll make sure your child knows how much you mean to us. To connect with us, please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

With love, Kiley & Caitlin

More About Our Family

What's Important to Us

We value family, friendships, and our faith. We spend a lot of time with extended family and close friends. In our circle there are lots of cousins and children that our son enjoys time with. Relationships are important to us and we hope to show our children how to nurture and maintain positive connections with people they love. We also have a strong faith and attend a welcoming and engaging church together. We will always keep an open conversation about God and Jesus with our children so they can grow up learning to lean on faith and trust in God. In addition, we both love playing or watching sports and the opportunity they give us to stay active, have fun, and also connect with others in our community.

Extended Family & Traditions

We come from loving, supportive, connected families. Most of our loved ones are within driving distance. We live 4 miles from Kiley’s parents and an hour from Caitlin’s parents. Both sets of grandparents are very involved in Tucker’s life and are always there to help us out, if needed. Caitlin is the youngest of 4 siblings and we see her brother and sisters. Kiley is the second oldest out of 4 siblings, with an older brother and two younger sisters. We get together with our families several times a year and love keeping up with each other’s lives.

Our Family Loves:
• Going out on Kiley’s brother’s boat with his side of the family
• Big holiday get-togethers with both of our families at the same time (even for Mother’s and Father’s Day!)
• “Cousin weekends” with the younger nephews and nieces (we have 2 nieces and 10 nephews!)
• Tubing in the snow

Pets Around Our Farm

We have 2 dogs and several cats who keep the property and farm animals check. Maggie is our Border Collie/Heeler mix who is great with children and so sweet. Max is our Great Pyrenees/Bernese Mountain Dog mix who is super friendly and lovable (plus the cats adore him!). Alvin is our inside/outside cat who we bottle fed as a kitten. Other than the cattle herd, we also have a calf that we bottle fed last year and a pony, named Ron. Things stay interesting around our place with all these animals!

Top 3 Thoughts on Parenthood

• Don’t take things too seriously, kids need to be kids
• Love big
• Be kind to everyone
