Hi, we’re Anna and Kris and we live in Illinois with our sweet pets Maggie the pup and our cats, Nala & Storm. We love spending time with our family and friends. We enjoy going to the bowling alley to bowl, going to the races, lots of road trips, trying new recipes together, and watching an endless amount of Disney movies together! After a few years of infertility, we’re so excited to grow our family through adoption and can’t wait to give a child a safe, joyful, and loving home. Most importantly, we want you to know that we’ll always respect and support you in this journey.

About Us

We’ve been together for 15 years (married for 3) and have built a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. Our relationship is grounded in trust, teamwork, and a lot of fun; we enjoy cooking a new recipe together, trying to see who can get the highest score in bowling, taking walks with our little dog, and relaxing at home with our two cats while watching movies.

We balance each other well. Kris is outgoing, hardworking, creative, and patient while Anna is thoughtful, supportive, warm, and gentle. Together we make a great team and are so excited to share our lives, our home, and our hearts with a child.

Family and friends are a big part of our world, and they can’t wait to welcome our new little one. We’re lucky to have a strong support system around us, and we know our child will grow up surrounded not only by us, but also by grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who already love them.

We are committed to giving a child a safe, happy, and supportive home where they can always feel loved and encouraged to be themselves.

About Anna

Kris says: Anna is one of the kindest and most determined people I have ever known. She never gives up on anything or anyone, and she brings so much love and patience into everything she does. She works as a special education paraprofessional, and I absolutely love seeing the joy in her eyes when she talks about her students and the difference she strives to make in their lives. Her passion for helping others is one of the many things that makes her so special.

At home, Anna is happiest enjoying simple, cozy moments together. She loves bowling, watching her favorite movies, especially anything Disney, the Wizard of Oz, or Wicked, and being surrounded by family. She also loves going to musicals and taking road trips, whether it’s a quick weekend adventure or discovering somewhere new. Anna has a warm, joyful spirit, and I know she will be an incredible mother who gives our child endless love, encouragement, and laughter.

About Kris

Anna says: Kris is one of the hardest working people I know. As a hod carrier, he takes pride in doing hands-on work and always gives his best until the job is finished. His determination, strength, and dedication amaze me every day, but what truly stands out is his gentle heart. He is the strongest and sweetest man I know, and he shows his love through the care and effort he puts into everything.

At home, he loves to cook and is always trying new recipes. He also enjoys going to the races and bowling. Some of his favorite moments are going to baseball games, taking walks with our dog, and working in the yard to make our home feel warm and welcoming. He values family deeply and cherishes any chance to spend time with the people we care about. I know he will be an incredible father–patient, fun, loving, and steady.

Our Family

Family is at the heart of our lives, and we feel so lucky to be close to ours. Anna’s mom lives just 15 minutes away, and Kris’s mom isn’t far either, so we see them often. Kris’s dad and stepmom live a few hours away and we make it a point to visit them once a month, and especially during holidays when they come to spend time with us.

We treasure our family traditions and simple everyday moments together. We love Sunday dinners, backyard BBQs, and cheering at baseball games with our moms, Anna’s grandpa, and Kris’s brothers. Anna’s cousins, who live nearby with their own children, are a big part of our lives too. We enjoy playful afternoons and sharing meals at Anna’s mom’s house. Kris’s brothers’ kids bring so much laughter into our home, and we love hosting sleepovers and creating fun memories with them.

We can’t wait to share these traditions, laughter, and love with a child of our own, building a home filled with joy, connection, and family.

Our Home in Illinois

We live in a charming 2-bedroom home. It’s cozy, full of love, and has plenty of space for family, pets, and memories. One thing we love about where we live is that we’re in a great school district. Anna works at the elementary school and we both coach the high school boys bowling team, which makes our connection to the community even stronger.

Our home is welcoming, warm, and filled with laughter from quiet mornings watching movies and making breakfast (pancakes–Anna’s favorite breakfast) to playful evenings with our dog and cats. We love that it’s a place where friends and family can gather, and we can’t wait to share it with our child who will grow up in a safe, loving, and supportive environment.

Our Promise to You

We promise to always honor your wishes and stay in touch in whatever way you are comfortable. We are committed to providing a loving home grounded in faith and a strong education, where your child can grow, learn, and thrive. Above all, we promise to support you throughout this journey with honesty, compassion, and respect, ensuring that you feel valued and heard every step of the way.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Why We Are Adopting

We are choosing to adopt because of health considerations that make carrying a child unsafe for Anna. Although we cannot grow our family biologically, our hearts are full and ready to love a child completely. Adoption allows us to provide a safe, nurturing, and joyful home, and we are excited to give a child a lifetime of support, encouragement, and unconditional love.

Plans for Childcare

When we welcome a baby into our family, we are fortunate to have the loving support of our moms, along with many other family members and close friends, who are excited and ready to be part of our child’s life.

As our child grows, we plan to enroll them in the same elementary school where Anna works. This will provide a safe, familiar, and nurturing environment surrounded by a caring community and strong educational opportunities. Our goal is to make sure our child always feels loved, supported, and encouraged both at home and at school.

How We Met

We met when we were just young teens, and it all started with bowling--a sport that has always been special to us. Both of our grandpas taught us how to bowl, and we quickly got involved in tournaments as kids. It was at one of these tournaments that our paths first crossed, and our connection grew from there. Over the years, bowling has remained a big part of our lives. We've traveled together to compete in tournaments, and now we share our love of the sport by coaching our high school's boys bowling team. Bowling has given us countless memories together, and it continues to be a joyful part of our life as a couple and as a family. We look forward to teaching our child how to bowl!

Our Fun Holidays

Holidays are full of love, laughter, and togetherness in our family. We host Thanksgiving each year, bringing both sides of our families together for lots of food, conversations, and football. Anna also loves going Black Friday shopping with her mom and cousins, making it a fun annual tradition.

For Christmas, we spend the early afternoon at Anna's mom's house, enjoying a delicious meal, watching football, and opening presents. Later, we head to Kris' mom's house to end the day with card games, singing songs with our nieces and nephews, and watching movies together.

These traditions create cherished memories and a strong sense of family, which we hope to share with our child.

In Closing

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at our profile and learn a little about us. We want you to know that we would love to partner with you on this journey. If you choose us, your child will grow up surrounded by love, laughter, and encouragement every single day. We also want you to feel supported and respected, and we'll always honor the important role you play in their story. No matter what, we hope you can feel the love in our hearts for both you and your child.
