Hello from the heart of the US! We are Kyle and Heather, and we live in Nebraska. The opportunity to start our family through adoption is an exciting time for us. We enjoy exploring new places, learning new things, and experiencing all life has to offer while helping each other chase our dreams. We value education, both coming from families full of teachers, as well as bringing kindness into the world. We look forward to learning more about you, your hopes for your baby, and the opportunity to provide a loving family. Together, we promise to raise your baby in a home that is surrounded by a large, loving family, in a safe, tight-knit community.

About Us

We both grew up on farms in our small town and stayed close to our family. We live in a farmhouse surrounded by open fields, with our rescue dogs. Each year for the last several years, we have also hosted foreign exchange students. We love learning about different cultures and having an “extended family” all around the world. We fostered kids through the state as well. We have been married for 9 years, but we are high school sweethearts, having been together for 16 years! We are the epitome of opposites attract. Kyle is a down-home farm boy who can make friends everywhere he goes. Heather is a spontaneous adventurer who prefers a small group of close friends. Together, we enjoy going on motorcycle rides, playing with our dogs, going on Ranger rides, and taking our nephews on weekend outings. Kyle enjoys hunting with our nephews, working on tractors, and being on the farm. Heather loves traveling, photography, and playing softball. We want to provide a loving home to your child, and nurture them

About Heather (From Kyle)

Heather is a smart, caring, and loving person. She cares deeply about her loved ones. She doesn’t have many fears and is always pushing me to get outside of my comfort zone. She has the need to explore the world and loves going to new places. Heather loves traveling, photography, softball, landscaping, and art. She coached the girls traveling softball league, ranging in ages from 8-16 years old for many years. She now umpires for the softball league. She is also generous, often taking in orphan animals for the Humane Society to care for until they are old enough to be adopted. I know she will be a loving, protective mother who will support our child and show them the world. She looks forward to family vacations, as she grew up taking yearly family vacations and those are her favorite memories. If the child is interested in sports, she would love to be outside with them, swinging a bat or throwing a ball. She also looks forward to showing them the wonders of nature.

About Kyle (From Heather)

Kyle is a caring, loving, and outgoing person who is always willing to help anyone. His passion is working on his family’s farm. They raise cattle and grow soybeans and corn. He is involved with the church, being on the church council, and previously serving as president. Coaching kids 4-H shooting sports was also something he enjoyed for several years. He is my solid foundation, my go-to person when I need to talk to someone. He sees things through such a compassionate view, and always tries to make everyone happy. He is the hardest working person I know and always makes sure things are done right. Being a dad was something he was always certain he wanted, and I know he will raise a compassionate, generous, and loving child. He looks forward taking them hunting, teaching them the ropes around the farm, and playing football if they are interested. He looks forward to having a farming buddy.

Our Family

Heather has a large family and grew up close with all her cousins and extended family. She has an older sister, and a younger brother who is married with one child, who live about 1 1/2 hours away. Both of her parents own their own businesses. Kyle’s family is smaller but has always been very tight-knit. He has one brother, who is married with 2 kids. His mother is a teacher at the private Catholic school, and his dad ran the farm. We have weekly lunch after church on Sundays. We have 2 nephews on Kyle’s side, and one nephew on Heather’s side. Kyle’s mom, his brother and family, and Heather’s aunt and uncle all live within 3 miles of us. Kyle’s family farm is just down the road, so family is always close by! Heather’s parents also live within 15 minutes. Kyle would love to be a stay-at-home dad, and both of our parents are looking forward to Grandparent duties, being actively involved. We also love hosting foreign exchange students, and our family jumps right in to welcoming each girl as our own. Our family has grown internationally! We spend all holidays going between our families.

Our Home in Nebraska

We live in a little farmhouse about 5 miles outside of our small town. It sits on 5 acres and is surrounded by open fields. The driveway is lined with large trees that provide ample shade for the backyard. The front yard is open and is where we like to throw the football around with our nephews. Our front deck overlooks the yard and is a beautiful spot to watch the sunrise. Our shop is where we have many family-get-togethers throughout the year, as we have a kitchen set-up, large barrel grill, TV, and heating/cooling out there. We enjoy roasting hot dogs and marshmallows with all the younger cousins and nephews. We have a wooden swing with room for a playset, raised garden beds, and a small creek that our dogs love to wade through in the summer. Kyle has loved having the shop to work on projects in. He likes to work on trucks and farm equipment out there. Heather has been working on landscaping around the house. It’s a lot of work but she loves having our house surrounded by flowers.

Our Promise To You

Our promise to you is to raise your child in a loving home, surrounded by a large, loving, supportive family. We promise to honor your wishes for your child and ensure that they know your love for them, with open communication and visits. We promise that they will be provided every opportunity in life, with education, family, and faith to guide them, so that they may become a respectable adult. They will be provided with a life full of adventures, with family vacations, laughter, and memories made together. We will support them in their interests, and help them grow into the person they were meant to be. We will celebrate their adoption story, and celebrate their heritage.

More About Our Family

Being Hosts

We love hosting foreign exchange students and have done it for 7+ years, having 10+ students so far. We learn about life in a different country, get to show them what we love about our home, and experience new adventures with them. It is easy to take everyday conveniences for granted, but it gives you a different perspective when you see things through the eyes of a teenager coming here for the first time. We have built lasting friendships, and expanded our family all over the world. We keep in regular contact with our students, even after going home. Heather has gone to their home countries to visit and meet the families. Their families have even came over here multiple times since the girls have gone home. We were able to show them our lives here and the love of our family. One of our German daughters has come back and spent every summer with us, babysitting through the summer months.

Our Faith

We belong to a local church where Kyle serves on the church council, having been President previously. Kyle has been a member of this church his whole life. Heather became a member after we married. It is a tradition to go to church Sunday morning, then go to Kyle's parents' house for lunch. Kyle regularly does cookouts for the church when hosting community events. Every summer, we grill and host a community event at the local swimming pool. They also do several community meal events throughout the year, clothing drives, and other various activities. Heather has been on a mission trip to Mexico with another church, where she helped build houses.

Our Musical Interest

Our musical interests are complete opposite! Kyle likes both classic and new country, and Heather likes hard rock. Kyle went to his first concert, which was Garth Brooks. Heather enjoys going to concerts regularly. Kyle's dad was the church organist/pianist and choir director, so Kyle grew up singing in the church choir. Heather has 2 aunts that are pianists for their churches.

Our Pets

We have 5 dogs:
-Zoey is the oldest. She was abandoned with her mother and litter mates. We found homes for all 7 puppies and kept her for our first pet together. She tends to stay to herself, as she is 15 years old and just can't keep up anymore.
-Rocky is the last of our foster puppies. He is such a sweet, snuggly thing, but will also stare you in the eyes while chewing on your shoes as you tell him NO.
-Bentley was removed from a hoarder situation. He is a small fluffy dog that likes to be outside and act like a big dog. He also tends to keep to himself, but likes to have someone to snuggle with at night.
-Dixie was abandoned in a trailer. She is an absolute lovebug and doesn't give you a choice but to love her. She thinks she is a small lap dog and has the most pitiful puppy eyes!
-Zeus was left by his owner. He is also a snuggler, and doesn't think he is too big for your lap. He still likes to play a little bit, but is also happy being with you where ever you are.
All are used to being around kids of all ages.

In Closing

We look forward to getting to know you, your wishes for your child, and being able to fulfill those wishes. We are excited to raise your child in the Christian faith surrounded by a loving family. We will share with them our love for exploring new places, learning new things, and experiencing all that life has to offer. We value education and will nurture your child in their future endeavors so they grow to be confident, kind, and ready for the world.
We would love to keep in touch with you at your comfort level through the years to come.
